  • 2015-10-28 - purchased
  • 2015-11-16 - received
  • 19 total days to SF
  • 19 days seems longer than it actually is :)
  • paid $23.87
  • glass is thick
  • 2 imperfections in glass, nothing noticeable to average joe
  • update: found a third larger imperfection, doesnt effect function
  • slits are cut really poorly, they are dif sizes , and look a little chipped. this is not very noticeable due to the white color
  • over all 6 of 10. Price plays a huge role again... friend wanted an ash catcher to combust. This should do just fine.

The function vid seems to show it working ok?

I like the hollow sphere in the middle, I'd like to see someone milk one of these at night, with a bright LED in there shining through all the stacked bubbles :D

Just found out about DHgate recently after joining this site, and I can't believe how many things I want! Settled on a random small bubbler, a 9" D020, an 11" triple honeycomb perc bong and a triple honeycomb ashcatcher! Hoping at least some of them are functional, even if half work that'll be a great deal compared to the brick and mortars around here.

That is the first FC-mod I've seen besides Stevens, and if he is selling his bad ones then I wouldn't touch that ever considering Steven can't seem to produce a consistent FC-mod. I got lucky with the two I bought, but I don't think I'll be getting that piece again, way to inconsistent.
I guess I got lucky with mine, too. I've been using mine quite a bit lately and am really loving the smooth hits. I'm going through a bunch of water cured bud atm and so the taste is meh anyways. I don't mind the sacrifice in the taste/smoothness continuum for this particular strain, and the FC-mod is a fine tool for the task.:science:

My first fc mod was an absolute disaster...the main can had some sort of glass nipple that stuck up right in the middle of the bottom..it wouldnt allow the matrix downstem to sit all the way into the can..and just the matrix hitting the bottom of the can threw the runction completely off it was like the vapor would go straight from ash catcher to the mp..u could see the vapor swirling right to mp..steven had me order another piece in order to replace my fc mod but it all worked out..

So just received my HT and it has the problem that I thought it was gonna have. Nice piece, nice build, nice glass but the connection it's too deep, doesn't seals perfect with the HT and there is some air lack that you can test simply putting the HT over the EVO and the finger at the end of the bamboo.

Will test it this night properly and send a message to Steven to see what can be done.

oh man , what a shame , i am hoping they all were not made the same but chances are slim. Still waiting on mine.

Ah dang, glad I waited for reports first!

We'll see if everyone else has the same issue...

And now FC-MOD risks... Hmm need to decide if it's worth the risk. $53 still isn't so cheap (plus the long shipping wait), more than I've spent on any china glass to date at least

That sux it doesn't work with the EVO! I was going to pull the trigger on one but think I'll wait for now.

Does the evo use a standard 18mm adapter ? I am wondering why it does not fit correct and hoping it fits my pieces .
Because the18mm GG connection only extends so far out of the EVO. A finite amount of clearance in relation to the female connection is required for the EVO and Dhgate HT to work without adapters.

So the dept of the 18mm female joint and or the wideness of the 18mm joint can affect pairing of a Hydratube and EVO.

Thanks @Slow Draw McGraw , I wasn't quite understanding as i don't have a evo.

Yes but it sounds like the female 18mm on the hydratube is to deep so it bottoms out on the EVO without making a good seal.

Edit: Looks like slow draw beat me to it

????? Any pics with arrows to help?
Shouldn't a correct width male/female joint fit , and have nothing to do with the depth of the female joint?
Only exception if the female joint is much too shallow so male can't go in to correct point where it works??
Thanks

No sorry I don't have this hydra tube but if you know what the top of the EVO looks like, you only have so much room for the hydratube to slide down the 18mm male fitting on the EVO before it sits on top of the EVO and can not go down any further.

It's not the joint itself, its where the female joint is set when its blown is the problem.

Ok, just tried it properly and the problem is there but it isn't as bad as I thought. Actually I'm able to use it, the bad seal is not as bad.

If I try to draw with my finger in the end of the bamboo there is a tinny bit of air entering between the conection of the HT and EVO, really tiny and you can see just a few small bubbles inside the HT. But it's so small that you can use it without problem. You can milk the HT with no problem, but it's a bit anoying that the piece is not perfect. I will write Steven to tell him about it and how to improve the design.

I think that almost everyone that has had a Cloud and used it in different glass has found this problem with some bubblers. As another user said an adapter is enough to help with this, but no one to uses an adapter with an HT.
