Sorry for the crappy quality here, dudes, but my camera won't get any closer and stay focused... and I'm sure that me being dedicatedly medicated right now has NOTHING to do with it... :smug:

Anyway... hope these help. Rig w/ UD, MFLB, SSFG Travel Beaker, and beer bottle. Any more questions, just let me know!

... I'm thinking they should really put some pics of the piece with the female joint on their site, so people don't have to wonder...

... probably should have cleaned it first, but..... fuck it, dude; let's go bowling...

What a guy!
ok, check this out:
http://www.nectarcollector.org/

not sure the price, but figured this thread wouldn't be a bad place for discussion...pretty damn interesting...more interesting in pairing it with a vape...

I sent them an email yesterday asking about pricing. It doesn't look like they have a retail site, they got right back to me letting me know they could send me pricing. It looks like they mostly are selling to LHS since they offered me wholesale prices if I wanted to carry them in a shop. We'll see what their prices are, looks like it would make a great little hydra tube for a log vape.

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...

Could you please post or pm said prices when you get them. I am very interested in one of those for my LSV.

Can you make a video? I'm pretty interested in one of these.

Sure, I can make a quick video later today once all the "chores" are done. It will be brief and very simple, though. Nothing fancy.

Still loving the little piece. Been calling it "Little Bigfoot."

Now, I know what you're thinking:

"Wow, this member has obviously been making these kinds of videos for YEARS! I mean, just look at the craftmanship. The smooth editing. The crisp sound. The deep focus. It's all there!

That IS what you're thinking... RIGHT?! :goon:

Well... maybe not so much. Yeah, I don't make these often... so that's about the best I have to offer at this point. I tried putting the camera farther away so you'd see what it's like when you're holding it, but... when I did, I saw my face, and I didn't like it so much. So... I chose this vid instead. You know how it is. :ninja:

FYI... if it seems as though I'm hitting the piece awkwardly... it's because I am at that angle. Take the camera out of the equation and the process is a lot more natural, I assure you. Watch really closely and you'll be rewarded by noticing my WonG silicone has gotten a little loose due to my meddling. That's why I shake it - so it doesn't come off with the Dog.

Any suggestions for future videos would be greatly appreciated... begrudgingly.

As you can see, the "little bigfoot" hits just fine... especially paired with my little (W)underdog.

For those of you playing the trivia version, the song is called "Veneno" by Chuy Flores, and if it sounds familiar it's because you heard it on Breaking Bad. But the album cover used as the background is "Dark Night of The Soul" by Sparklehorse and Danger Mouse with David Lynch (and many others).

I have tried it with my DBV and it works just fine!

Just be careful if you decide on it because the tubing of the DBV has enough force to pull the pipe over, so you have to hold on to the pipe once you've "got your tubing in," so to speak. I'm guessing it would be the same even with a legitimate WPA.

So I insert the tubing, hang on the pipe, then insert the wand. Then you have to put the wand down while hanging on to the pipe, and then take the tubing out. It's kind of tedious, so I prefer to use my SSFG Travel Beaker with my DBV.

Been really enjoying this bubbler I bought.

I wouldn't call this a "high quality" piece but rather... "mid-tier". The one thing I love about this, is the glass is shaped so you can grasp it firmly.

You'll pretty much discover your own techniques for getting the most out of your video shoots. Don't worry about the angle of your head. Trust me, Youtube is filled with glass videos featuring contortionists.

My most difficult experience is keeping it in focus. I can't manually switch my focus, so just the slightest changes, to what the camera perceives as depth and it just goes all out of whack.

Other than that, lighting is an issue (which plays into the focus, btw). Eventually, I will DIY a nice little set for videos, including a lazy susan (the spinning platforms) and some strategic lighting. In the meantime, I've switched to shooting in the bathroom, as it gives me the most even light and instead of the living room, my lighting is more focused and bright, instead of more ambient.

You've got to increase your video quality. 240? That's as good as you can get?

Also think about your subject matter? Are you trying to highlight the whole piece, the vape, just the perc? If you want to move it closer to the camera, but are having problems with the angle. Try raising the subject a bit higher. Set it on a book, or something.

Honestly, just increasing the video quality would make a big difference.

aww good call, just googled as I knew the brand. Let us know what your think in reference to vaping

From my finding during use it's great for vaping. As long as you can one hand the vape easily anyway. The funneling action does work and cools the vapor thoroughly. It's almost as if it's water diffused without being so(smooth from greater aeration). I like to attach the helix to my GnOme and have a cooled dry piece.

I just ordered the infamous $40 bub to pair with my solo and PV is all out of gongs. I was wondering if you guys could recommend some tube that will connect the solo stem with the infamous bub while i wait for PV to get some more gongs in stock.

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
I used an ssv tubing and then bought a reducer. The ssv tubing was ok if you shoved it down far enough to make a tight seal. If you are pairing with something smaller you need to use two different size tubings.
