I should look into small nails like that. I really liked the nail on the Starbud Frapp. That thing was a little tinsel pot looking thing but it's perfect for just dumping a dab and not worrying about positioning of the dabber or whatever.

I want one.

That double honeycomb was awesome. I thought you were going to burn your fingers for a minute going for the nail.

Just got my D020-K from sunshinestore. I've always loved the way @ataxian 's looks and it was a great price. Came in about 2 weeks all in, most of that was shipping on the US side though, the actual piece was mailed out almost immediately. Unfortunately I have a postman who has decided to essentially stop delivering packages so it took a bunch of extra days to actually get it in hand here. Anyway never used a perc like this so I'm unsure about the water level. Tried to match what I've seen in other pics but any tips would be appreciated. Here it is with a female to female and nano gong on it:

Piece seems perfect except for a little bump on the outside that I didn't even notice till I'd been using it for a bit and has no performance effect. Also the yellow isn't the water, it's the wall behind it.

EDIT: now that I have the piece in hand I realize that it might actually be the same one I saw in a LHS for $160! Except I believe that one was 14mm instead of 18 and didn't come with a nail, dome, and a bowl.

The ideal fill level will depend on the reciprocal volume of the piece (the volume of water that has to be pumped out of the stem to allow air to flow through it into the perc, called "reciprocal" as it's the volume that moves back and forth), as this has to be added to the resting water level to get the final volume of fluid above the perc in operation. I've found most honeycomb rigs work best with the water level about flush with the disc, though. I have four different cheapie honeycomb pieces, which I admit isn't a shitload, but it's a decent sample size, and I've found all of mine are happiest with the water at or just below the top of the HC disc. The more water that's above the disc in-operation, the fewer holes fire, and the more drag you experience.

A honeycomb should be basically dragless after the initial water displacement, but if you're making it lift so much water that it can't aerate it properly, you're lowering the flow efficiency. Now not only are you expending more effort to lift more water, you're having to put in more effort to lift the water you were already lifting, because the denser the volume of froth is, the more it weighs, and so the more effort it takes to hold against gravity.

In my case the HC is upside down on the end of the downstem (in an AC). Best height seems to be about where the flare to the HC begins...

Honestly I like them all! I know that doesn't help if someone is trying to buy just one, but say I had only $60 and could just buy one I would probably get the Starbud Frapp because the design is unique and it is perfect size for vaping and dabbing.

If I wanted something more conventional I would go with the 187 because that is also a good size rig for vaping and dabbing

However, if I liked more diffusion I would go with the 194 or if I was strictly into dabbing I would get the double barrel!

Oh. When I read that I thought he meant watered down weed oil. Guess I missed the e-liquid part and thought too long on the VG (PG, PEG) reference and assumed it was mixed with weed.

I've been considering trying out nicotine juice just to see what it's like but am hesitant to prove that gateway drug theory correct!

Please don't. Of course you can do as you like but seriously don't go down that road. I have been addicted to nicotine for many years and I just can't recommend it. Sure the past few years I have been smoke free but even the ecigs are just feeding the addiction. Nicotine is nothing to mess around with. I'm not saying trying it once will get you hooked...but why even try it in the first place.

My Kathy Planet Rigs arrived to San Fran on Sunday 6/15 and they haven't moved an inch since. Same deal happened with my 194 replacement last week. This is kind of annoying lol.

With all my other orders, the package would sit in San Fran for 1 day and then arrive to Arizona the next day. I wonder what happened

On a brighter note I found an awesome slow motion video app for my iPhone so my goal this weekend is to make a slow motion video for each piece I have and create an awesome signature like @GSH has

i got the JH018 today it took 15 days 5 of those days were messaging btoc as at first he told me he did not have any jh018. i told him i wanted the jh018 or my $ back , not as big as i thought it would be, but that's ok. i try to get a video up later

if you look at where the water should go up into the bowl, at the bottom they closed down the return hole, it recycles but because that hole is so small i can not get it vortex.

After reading this thread for a little while and having recently acquired a Solo, I finally placed a few orders on DHgate and AliExpress during the lasts few weeks.
I had never tried vaping with a water tool before that.
Today I received my very first order which was from SunshineStore, and I just had a my first ever water session.

Today, I vaped in this exact setting

Except it was whis a Solo.

Dang, I didn't even know that one existed. I had read somewhere some pieces won't recycle because that hole is too big..........Looks nice - personally, I can live without vortex, as long as the recycling works ok. Looking forward to your video.

This cheap ash collector is not my best setup. It's a set up however I have a few that work much better. As a dabber it works better!

I find for the NANO I want no jug at all. I'll set up a different water unit after I recuperate somewhat!
