BAM!! rec'd my D20 bubb on Fried-day and put that little bad boy thru its paces.Love it, and as most (not all) of the import glass that we have all researched, I find it to be made well and function flawlessly. Not much bad can you hang on this rig, price, craftsmanship, function, this one has it all. Thanks to all for finding this particular rig, it is now another tool in my arsenal to get baked with, and one that is racking up the bowls as we speak.New Years eve it will get a marathon work out amongst others in my collection. Have a safe and a Happy New Years , Now looking at Ms Wu's bent neck inline to H/C for 38$$. Decisions decisions !!:brow:

Anyone using a reducer in their D020? I only have a 14 mm gong for my solo and wonder if a reducer seals well. It looks like it would but I don't have mine in hand yet. TIA

As DHB also stated" it works just fine" I also use another form of reducer and that one is not the bushing type and is about 3inches long - 18mm-MALE > 14mm F/M. Both work well and both function on this piece, and IMO a matter of preference or fitment situations. On one rig I have, I have to use the elongated adapter to be able to get clearance of the mouth piece or the vape from the can.

On another note, I will be buying 18mm GonG's for my Solo from now on.Most of the glass I have has the 18mm F/M opening and only IMO do I feel that the 14mm reducer restricts my intake path a bit.I have to use the reducer because the GonG I rec'd from PV is the 14mm type,my bad I should have thought. The Solo as some of you know has a pronounced restriction on intake and its purposely done that way.I have the H.E.Solo stem type which do lend a hand in lessening the restriction, but Im thinking 18mm PVHES would be the way to go, so when the 14MMs end up on the glass wrecker TILE FLOOR ,Im going to get the 18mm PVHES Gong and enjoy bigger clouds!!!

When I bought a lo-profile reducer for my DH-gate bub it didnt fit because it couldnt reach the female GonG correctly since it is recessed pretty far below the dewar. I fixed it by putting a cut part of a road bike tire (a rubber band) around the top and twisting it to be airtight in the dewar. It might just be a shitty reducer though, I bought it from the worst shop in town. The rubber band setup is 100% airtight though, I have no issue with it

Good call. My reducer doesn't have a whole lot of room between the joint and the lip. Maybe a little more than the width of a K-clip. I may have to rig up something like you did. Thanks!

I noticed my reducer wants to get stuck too easy in mine, so I rolled one of my extra O rings that fits (thermovape Large orange O ring) to the lip of my reducer, so it won't stick any more, same idea as the rubber band basically, offers a good seal and I don't have the sticking.

This stuff works great to prevent sticking on stuff you remove a lot http://www.toobloob.com I was at the LHS looking for joint wax(giggity:brow:) and they had this so I gave it a try. Works good. The actual joint wax may work better for an adapter since it won't come out until you want it to. I have the toob lube coated on a downstem that's secured with a k clip to prevent long term sticking (had one stick on me one time) and I even leave it in when I soak in PBW and the stuff still stays intact throughout the cleaning as long as the kclip stays on. Nice to clean the downstem and piece at the same time.

All my days in a daze...
The actual joint wax may work better for an adapter since it won't come out until you want it to.

Joint wax, or really, just beeswax, works really, really well on GonGs where you want 1) solid strong connection yet very easy to remove 2) prevents joint lock.

Just look on Ebay, or at your local drug store, for natural beeswax lipbalm.
Cheaper and easier to procure than JointWax and works just as well. The lipbalm
will probably have something like peppermint essence added (mine does) but it doesn't reduce it's abilities or anything... your GonGs will just smell better :D

I use it on my cloud buddy. I was curious about it's abilities to keep a strong connection so I nervously lifted my $350 Dirty Rico bubbler off the table by the cloud buddy to 1ft off the table and the Rico (75mm can, 6.25" base so not a light piece) didn't budge. I even gave a slight jerk and it still didn't give.
That was as much of a test as I could stomach, I had my hand hovering under it the whole time... like I could catch it cleanly without dropping it... probably not lol. :uhoh:

But the test certainly gave me confidence it wasn't a waste of time, or money, to use the wax.
It certainly seems like it would help prevent real world accidental GonG disconnection issues.
A Keck would be better insurance but sometimes kecks don't fit the situation properly and well I also just don't much like the looks of kecks on my glass buts thats just personal preference.

edit: just wanted to add a few points so I don't cause someone to break their glass.
>don't do this test. I have a screw loose. If you do it only raise your peice inches and do it above a towel or something lol
> the temperature of the glass affects the performance of the beeswax. If you've just washed your piece and it's still warm the wax will melt enough to reduce it's 'grab'. Apply the joint wax on completely dry ground joints that are at room temp for best results.
>once you apply the wax, insert the joint and give it a twist, it's sort of 'locks'.
DO NOT break this 'seal' and take it out if you don't have to. That first 'seal' is the strongest
and the wax isn't as effective and on the second insertion and much less effective on subsequent insertions. Thats what she said! lol :p
After that it's best to clean all the wax off the male and female joints and then reapply.

Its not glass but I just received one of these today...

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/TITANIUM-NAIL-for-vapor-19MM-Free-shipping/1218832005.html

I heated it several times before using it and there was never any off gasing or anything odd going on that I could see/smell. I also tried breaking it down and picking the pieces up with a pretty strong magnet but none of the pieces were attracted to it. The post-torch coloring looks like other Ti pieces I've seen posted.

It works like a cham...retains heat almost too well. I do like the dabs off it better than my old beat up glass nail...they seem much thicker using the same amount of oil.

We're here to fuck shit up.
It's hard to tell with them sometimes. I have a stemline AC and at certain angles it appears that the end is open.

That definitely looks open. lol.

On some of the pieces you can really see the lack of understanding in what they're designing/manufacturing.
But it does seem to be getting better and better.

I'd give this one a pass though if it were me.

I just received two D020s from DHgate. Ordered on the 22nd and delivered on the 30th. Very fast delivery IMO considering it's coming from China and going through customs. It was packaged very well. Lots of bubble wrap and nothing was broken.

I'm not a glass expert but the bubblers and accessories look great to me. No obvious flaws that I can see. Everything seems centered well enough. Perc is low. Seams are smooth. No air bubbles in the glass. Like others reported my lo-pro reducer doesn't fit. That won't be an issue for me but may be for others.

Only 26 left last time I checked. If you're getting this piece, order 2. Not only will you have a backup but the price drops from $27 to $24 apiece (including shipping).

Very pleased with this purchase. Thanks to FC for this great recommendation.

Happy new year everyone!

I just wanted to mention that I've purchased two of these, and my Low-Pro Adapter from PlanetVape fits both without a problem. There is variation between my two pieces...the overall height, the weld to the can, the appearance of the Dewar joint, and the perc is lower in the first one I bought than the second. Not sure if these subtle variations can account for the fact that my reducer works great, or if PlanetVape just has the right reducer for the job!

Thank you for this. I had only tried my lo-pro adapter in one bubbler. I just now tried it in the other and it fits! :) Just barely fits in one and is slightly too loose in the other.
