Yeah , the design of that 7.4 in fabegg with the inside area to decrease drag is really great .. I fill water up to bottom of center piece for best function.... the water splashes all over that central filler glass and keeps it from being sucked into mouth ETC ......
here is one that looks like could work in that size range as well

maybe around a 4 , not sure on that .. it has some resistance with correct water level but that makes it pull better IMO and not to airy of a pull

Anyone have any go-to glassblowers/sites for "mid-tier" stuff? I'd love to find some basic American blown bubblers with thicker glass than DHGate/Sneaky Pete stuff. Thinking $150-250 range. Not interested in dropping $400+ on some big brand name glass or anything like that. Just looking for some quality at a fair price. Seems hard to find stuff in this range for some reason. Any thoughts? Maybe I should start a new thread...

RichieGageGlass has a custom Diffusion Pump that goes for 299 and I think that comes with a nice DropDown too but that's the cheapest unique perc blower that comes to mind

He has other models like a Tesla Pump, Waffle diffuser to Pantheon percs (I think just a straight line of peyote pillars on the sides) that go for about double that but all in all he's got pretty good deals and worth a look.

Have you heard about the boom on Mizar 5?
I like my TAG hammerhead piece, the logo is etched onto the bottom of the base so you can't really notice it unless your cleaning it. I also have a leisure glass incycler that is pretty beefy and becoming my daily driver for dabs, it has a small logo on the side of the base.

I used to also prefer and seek out ONLY unlabeled pieces. I've found, that Chinese glass that gets labels (Leisure, TAG, etc.) tend to have a little higher quality control standard than those direct off DHGate or other sources. Cleaner joints, straighter tubes, and so on.

Has anyone else had similar experience, or do you all find quality the same across the board?

He usually either makes a prototype and auctions it off then deletes the post making most of his crazy ideas one offs (kind of a shame) but if you can remember it yourself he'll remember it.

He was feel8ng either slightly depressed from the quarintine or that his pieces weren't selling at the prices he wanted, idk but he took a slight break and seems to have come back feeling good.

@LesPlenty ya I'll link his IG and a few of his work pics on here

one of his OG or v2 Tesla's. Much more refined and has mainly moved the "Tesla coil" out and used the Scuba bubble as it accomplishes the same separate path for vapor intake before hitting water, and kept the separation chamber as a add on for other designs.

Regular Diffusion Pump

the diffusion pump with a recycling joint :D

Shorty Scubas unfilled so you can see what design function he was aiming for.

Edit: It's worth keeping in mind these are the most simple versions of the flagship pieces he sells. Literally you can go all Lego on him and ask for percs from this one on that one etc.

I've noticed that too...:sherlock: At CCG you can ask for no label and they usually can accommodate you. I like clear non-label pieces too...

If that ends up being the new thing we need to get used to, it might be the end of my love affair with dhgate glass. The price advantage all but disappears. May as well buy here.

Honestly I've began buying from Borotech since the welds are better, joints aren't lop sided or at like a 10° tilt forward making you nervous anything you stick on it will make it fall over and they're priced extremely similar to DH products with good quality like LMZ or SSS and if there's an issue I don't have to wait 4-8 weeks for a return/resend of the item.

I guess they can be linked since this is a "Cheap High Quality" thread but If im wrong please let me know and ill remove it. I bought a knockoff SirenApparatus Klein for my cousin and it's perc is really well made and carries/stacks bubbles to the uptake arm before popping in the lower chamber and I'm sure doesn't have the complete function of Siren's Originals but I kick myself every time I go over for family gatherings and use it cause it's so smooth and they're always sold out when I check.

But ya I stopped using DH stuff when the sidecar Matrix I ordered came with a massive chip in the MP flair and then the leisure swiss tree replacement had such a gnarly tilt it pooled all the concentrates in one area and created a huge splash if the air from the bubble cap was too close to the puddle or made a pearl roll thru it too fast.

Anyway here's the link to the knockoff SirenApparatus and the site itself isn't bad for rigs.

That's what Instagram is for. Follow some up and coming glass blowers there, and you can find some amazing deals. Also, frequent #glassauction on Instagram and you can occasionally find some amazing one-of-a-kind gems there at amazing prices.
