I think this is in my Favorites list, I think it will be next along with a straight neck mouth piece, these are the 2;

and

It will be good to watch vapor being created while reclined with the feet in front of the heater.
The mouth is not small enough however you get it!

The angled mp will not fit w/o an 18m<->18m adapter.
That would be a real low rider bubbler! Do you intend to put your chin on the table while drawing? ;)

Maybe an angled adapter? Or several, like scaffolding to go 360 round for a comfortable mouthpiece height and position.

True, I already have a couple adapters, a male joint on the mouthpiece would be better but I cannot find one .

I always vape while sitting in my recliner chair, my beer gut is my table, it is probably more of a chocolate gut as I seem to have taken up eating since giving up smoking.:)

All that recent talk about dropdowns reminded me how bad I want one, but a specific one:

nU3S8rZ.jpg

A dropdown with reclaim catcher AND carb hole !? What? Holly Molly Guacamolee

Do you think Steven would be interested making one similar? :luv:

YAiC2FI.jpg

(bowl of reclaim catcher is in wrong side, but you got the idea)

:ninja:

I don't know how many of us would be interested in a dropdown adapter like I posted earlier, with a reclaim catcher and carb,
but still I contacted Steven via his Dhgates store, to ask him what he thinks of it..

How do you think it should be designed?
18mm top and arm joint, 14mm reclaim jar and carb?

a couple more pics to get the idea

(without carb )

(Sublimator reclaimer, no dropdown..)

:peace:

So apparently Steven is okay to do a such piece, they are waiting my drawings to produce it!
So 14mm bubbler joint, 18mm vaporizer joint, what size of reclaim bowl and carb? 14 mm?
I think this piece need to be as small and compact as possible, with dropdown at 45°angle, and vaporizer joint at the same height than bubbler joint. Is that all ? :hmm:
I'll post my drawings later when they are done

Does anybody have experiences with this piece from Steven?

I LOVED my Sasquatch @latulipe999 gived me! :luv:
Such a unique piece, very classy, nice perc, interchangeable downstem..
You can even drill a hole on a countertop, to drop the sasquatch into ! :sherlock:

But being clumsy with glass.. It ended with a broken mouthpiece :\

One day I'll get one back :ninja:

@Joaon thanks for your engagement, friend! 14mm for the reclaim catcher should be fine. But as I said before take care of the angle of this setup that it doesn't bother fitting into a wider deware style bubbler.

Yep, the Sasquatch is getting one of the top 5 of my GAS. But would never use it in a sesh with my clumsy (my own clumsiness is more than enough) friends. I already hear a damned *ouuups!!?* by one the baked fuckers.

@Ramahs That is absolutely great! Construction and look are awesome! Doesn't happen often that I'm falling in love with a glass piece at once. Do you know the price of that? Fear it's unreasonable expensive as nearly all stuff from American glassblowers?
Does he do that on demand?

I have a new fav setup. My old one was a stereo matrix clone....which works awesome for the heavy hitter vapes like Elev8r and flowerpot. But I would then not use it when vaping with my vapcap or arizers. So I have a smaller D020 or something for those.

Now I can use any vape well with this setup.

Below shows my tweak that has worked out incredibly well. I put a narrow shafted slit downstem in the main one. This allows for a much more controlled and softer bubble/water action. It barely takes away any draw resistance.....but what little bit it does.....you get huge control over the draw pressure with it. I would like to try a showerhead type of downstem or something like that later to see if there is any difference.

As for using an adapter on these wide topped cans....you will need to either get one that has a big horizontal gap on the top connector.....or raise it up like I did. The 2 step joint on the small downsteam is a 14/14mm one as I could not find a 18mm male that would fit so the perc is down low enough or not touching the bottom of the main perc. But most of the 18mm joint downstems are a wider diameter tube. So the 14mm ones offer more condensing and muffle the "chug" really well.

I did first try one of the 18mm ones and ended up cutting off the slits to make it fit into the lower perc at the right level. It definitely worked well....but it allowed for a air bubble to form between it and inside the main perc. You could tilt it to get most of the air out...but some was always there.....didn't make it work any worse....just an ocd irritant....lol

So if you have one of these single matrix type units....experiment and see what happens with a 2nd inner downstem.

Here is the a pic of the clearance from downstem to outer top edge of the can. It is hard to find a dropdown that I like with proper shape to fit these wider topped cans. So I just went with a dropdown I like and had it raised up to clear.

I set this up for just less than $50.

And as I have shown before.....a carb hole drilled in the top.......AWESOME SAUCE!

I haven't checked the cost yet. I'll be DMing them about one eventually.

Yes, it would be pricey, but maybe someone would find one from our cheaper chinese suppliers. Or, maybe one of them would be interested in making some.

I have never dabbed, but my understanding is that it cranks up tolerance. How is going back to flower after you have been dabbing for a while? Does it take time to adjust?

Pretty much switched full time to dabbing. I still vape flowers occasionally, but with the quality and taste of the concentrates out there it's hard to want anything else for me. Tolerance went up a little for me, but I vaped a lot of flower also. If you don't overdo it, it's a beautiful way to medicate.

@LesPlenty, I found this claisen to be on the thin side. I tapped in rather lightly against the counter & it broke. When I purchase this style claisen again, I'll go with the ones that @Baron23 recommended. To me, a thicker glass is worth the extra expenditure. And the thicker the glass the more sturdy & balanced it will be in supporting vapes.

Can't see what style of bubbler you talk, do you know the clearance it needs?

here is a drawing from now :

I can see where it could be problematic, but can't say how much clearance it needs between water tool joint and dropdown section ..
Maybe more clearance, to make it compatible for pieces like FC-UFO, and then a dropdown section at a more agressive angle, like 60° ?
:hmm:

Edit:

Or a dropdown like that? :luv:

@LesPlenty, then my suggestion is to get 2 so you have the spare for when you need it.

Funny you should say that, their smallest purchase amount is 2, maybe they know that the item is a bit on the fragile side. Are all the ones listed on DHGate the same thin glass, who did you get your extra fragile one from if you can remember?
