Yea I think the beta body doesnt adjust the body temps for the herb atomizer. Sorry to hear about this though! Im sure my team will reach out asap and get you squared away with a new herb atty no problem.I don't suggest anyone use the dry herb atty in their old beta units!! Mine just lit on fire lol. Now I have no dry herb atty to try on my actual production unit... doh
I got to test the “everlast” atomizers yesterday and I think they’re going to make a lot of people happy. The ceramic heating plate is encased in a layer of stainless steel to protect against wear and tear. The cups are fitted to the stainless steel shell, and the fit is more snug than the current atties, so the cup doesn’t wobble around before you twist the cap on. There are ti, quartz and ceramic cups, though idk if all 3 will ultimately be available. I believe Randall said he would be sending some out to the beta squad for testing first, which would obviously be awesome.
One thing I immediately noticed was how much better the ceramic cup felt in the everlast, where there wasn’t that grating ceramic against ceramic feeling. The first ceramic dab I took was wispy but tasty, and it snuck up on me hard in a couple minutes. I think the ceramic + stainless combo is gonna be killer. Everlast quartz was also great - I took a rosin dab at 644 that milked up immediately and knocked me flat on my ass.
The tradeoff is the everlasts take a few extra seconds to heat up, which is ok since it’s so quick to begin with. I need much more testing to confirm, but you may also need to go a notch higher on temp to get comparable hits to the current atties. Some people will be perfectly fine with the current ones, and others will definitely prefer the new ones. Not sure yet if there would be any reason to switch between both. But the point is the company listened to customer feedback and created this really nice durable atomizer for people who wanted it. How awesome is that?! There are companies whose entire business model is trapping you to constantly replace parts; @FocusV continues to demonstrate all they care about is making the best rig on the market.
fwiw I haven’t had any atomizer issues whatsoever since I swapped my base 2 weeks ago. Dab counter is currently at 311 (amber is the color of my...concentrate?), mostly on a single atomizer that I fixed with my rebuild kit.

The atomizer lit on fire or your herb combusted? Shitty deal either way, but super sketchy if the device is catching fire.I don't suggest anyone use the dry herb atty in their old beta units!! Mine just lit on fire lol. Now I have no dry herb atty to try on my actual production unit... doh

Can you use the latest versions of the device without an app to control temp settings etc?
Just curious why you were doing your dry run in the beta base, and what setting did you run it at?It was the first dry run test so I had nothing in it. I always dry run any new device to look for off gasing in special lighting. This one just keep going and didn't turn off and was very noticeable.
And there's 4 temp settings you can adjust with the buttons ont he device. The app is just to change those pre-sets. I find the default level 1 perfect with the quartz bucket.

Interesting. Bear in mind the default sesh time for herb is a lot longer than for concentrate - 3:00 vs 0:40 I think. Did it run for longer than a few minutes?
I saw the puffcolawsuit instagram try to throw shade at the carta yesterday but people came and told them they were wrong. Anyone catch it? i wasnt able to see what they were complaining about before the post was deleted.
It was some laughable nonsense about how the holes in the bottom of the atomizer would cause oil to spill down into the air path and eventually get moldy. The dude hadn't even used his Carta yet Love how the community forcefully clapped back and got him to delete his post out of sheer embarrassment.I saw the puffcolawsuit instagram try to throw shade at the carta yesterday but people came and told them they were wrong. Has anyone else had the issue of the Carta/Base going straight from Start-Up in the app and it almost immediately after go from the "Heat-Up" Blue lights to the "Ready" Green in about a second?
I followed the instructions that @FocusV gave me the first time and flipped the batteries to reset the base but it didn't change anything.
It does do a proper Heat-Up Cycle when using the preset temperatures though.
Not tripping just wondering if anyone has had this happen before?
The atomizer was really stuck on the base but I made sure to just go at it with small amounts of pressure until it finally started to turn and there is more adhesive around the hole at the bottom of the treads that leads to the Airpath than the other but I don't think that matters much. Just figured I'd add that just in case it does mean something.

Mine also does this....I think it might be a bug. I’m pretty sure other users have had the same thing happen. I just set the session timer to 1 min. And wait about 5-10 secs and start inhaling. Have had great results but yes mine goes from blue to green almost instantly even with different attys.
The kit sent to beta testers had two ceramic heating elements, tweezers and wire cutters. Pretty nice kit overall.Focus just listed the atomizer repair kit. I am a little confused,it lists replacement wires with the kit. Does the kit have the ceramic and wires or just wires? And how many are in there too?
