Carta by Focus V

As a beta buyer I just received my repair kit and dry herb atomizer. I just wanted to say I'm amazed with Focus V's customer service. This company goes above and beyond everytime I've talked to them, had a problem, or just had a question. I also recently saw that they are going to be upgrading the beta buyers with black Carta's. I don't know how that's going to work but I'm ready for it. I love my Carta. I use it multiple times a day. Its definitely my go to device. I've been on Reddit Waxpen for years now and have gathered multiple devices over the years. I have been waiting for a product like this. Happy customer here.

Does anyone make a Directional carp cap for the Carta/Peak that isn't a Riptide or is it even necessary for terp pearl/s to spin with such a small surface area?

I'm trying to figure out if my impulse buy by grabbing a few Ruby terp pearls was a waste.

I know almost nothing regarding gemstone tech but have seen discussions on whether they're worth it or not over SiC/Obsidian but I'm wondering if the pearls will crack from the temps that are used with the Carta (500-~675 [when using not using quartz dont go much above ~675] )

Thanks for all the updates & help from other owners. I know I ask some stupid questions so again, thank you to everyone.

I got my Carta from cream city vapes, and then ordered an extra atomizer from slick Vapes. My atomizers (and TI inserts) are different.

The photo, on the left, is what was in my carta. The photo on the right is the extra I bought. The bottom of the extra's cup is flat, while the 2 cups I got with my original have an indent the size of the white coil. The atomizer I got as an extra has much wider airflow, and has little metal arms to guide the insert.

Which is the v2? Is it normal the one that comes with my kit and the extras arent compatible?

Hey there, I'm pretty late to the party and not a Beta Tester but from reading through the forum the atomizer that has the prongs is the V1 I believe.

I recieved a Carta from CCV too and the atomizer that came with it (no prongs) and the Atomizer I recieved From @FocusV (no prongs) are the proper V2 Atomizers.

I believe. But I'm not 100% sure as again I'm pretty late to the thread.

The one ont he right is the one that came with my original Production Carta unit, it's the V1 prod atomizer. The one on the left I don't even own, so it must be the V2 production one.

@seed2vapor Are you sure the atomizer decks aren't switched cause the Atomizer deck that I have with my non-pronged Atomizer has the much wider airflow slits instead of The ones I have are:

Non-Pronged, Ti Bucket has Indentation, atomizer has large airflow slits on bottom side and not holes.

I don't use this device, but imo, spinning the beads is not necessary in my Peak. Sometimes I will push them around just to distribute the heat/etc if I loaded a big dab. Otherwise I am just happy to have them in there, absorbing some heat so my bucket doesn't get awfully chazzed, and to increase the surface area.

I do not like using multiple beads in my Peak - though it's perhaps a different story with a 25mm banger... I have tried a few different combos with 3mm and 4mm beads in my Peak, and have found just 1 bead is all that is necessary to get the benefits I desire.

I've got my mouse on the order button, but I was wondering what was used for the vapor path on the inside of the base? From what I understand it's silicone around where the glass is.... I'm just concerned about plastics and things that might not be healthy.

You will run into problems if you are q tiping with water or alcohol if they are still hot.

My replacement Carta showed up yesterday. They replaced it because the power button got so sticky I'd have to drop the batteries to shut it off.

It connected instantly to all the phones I tried on it, 4 I believe.

This is the first of my atty's that doesn't have the side lips near the ceramic. I've got a bunch of the other style, I'll have to watch which I'm pairing.

Now that I can change temps, I'm going to have to dial in that quartz.

Those of you with working apps, what sort of temps have you settled in on for the Ti, Quartz and dry herb? That shows up tomorrow, I'm actually excited to try it!

Just got my replacement Carta this morning. It could have been yesterday but FedEx scanned it wrong and said it was still on the truck when it was really at the pick up place.

Now that I have it, I just tried a dab and it hits very well and solid.

Were you able to connect to phones with the new device that you were previously unable to?

Wow these Terp pearls make a Day & Night difference especially in the Ti. Tried 1x 3mm like you recommended they are so tiny @muunch ! I decided to put one more and I can't tell if it's doing anything better

Anyways they're freaking great and the guy threw in 5x and a grabber for free.

Edit: extra grabber I should say.

I asked Constant Gems who makes a SiC dish for the Peak that has an indentation on the bottom to sit on the ceramic disk/deck without sliding around bit they have not given me a quote or anything but they said they can do custom things
