My experience with focus is still abysmal. Mine broke after one day or minimal use. I made a warranty claim on the 8th. Heard nothing. Made another claim. Emailed them. Nothing. Instagram messages ignored. Finally told sorry we’ll take care of you last Tuesday and email you when it ships. No further communications. I’m so sick of chasing them. What horrible customer service

Ordered a 6month subscription and out of nowhere am receiving a dry herb atomizer and repair kit for free! Can’t wait to try these out.

Yes, I just got the order notification too but I didn't sub to anything. Looks like those of us in the beta program are getting free repair and dry her atty kits!!! Good job FV!

It’s weird bc my subscription order still doesn’t seem confirmed. Anyone else order a subscription and know if they ship on a schedule or based on your order?

I have a subscription. I was due for my second shipment on the 24th. However, they did say that shipments may be delayed till after the 28th because of warehouse move and system updates etc.

Also, I cannot log into my account to verify subscription info on the new site.

I called on Thursday. They told me to send an e-mail with the information. I got a response back 2 hours later that it was being processed. I just got my Warranty Order information today, so it should be shipping out Tuesday I think.

I don't know why your experience is different than mine, but I didn't have a single issue that you are complaining about.

If your complaint is that you had a hard time getting in touch with them when they have phone number that by all accounts they actually answer when you call, just don't be surprised if some folks don't take your complaint seriously.

Randall said on the stream today that the app got rejected from the iOS store due to tobacco promotion. He said they have to make some changes to it and send a demo video of the Carta to Apple to get it approved now.

Hey guys, I was wondering whether it is worth it to go for the 6 month atomizer service. I do tend to use a lot of concentrates these days and the Carta does get about half of that abuse.

I'm that dude who loads up those tiny dabs (the size some of my friends flick off their tools) 5-10 times a day and am really good about cleaning their devices.

These atomizer seem really solid. I'm just wondering about what the life span of an atomizer with my habits would last and if the 6-month package is for me.

Also I break carb caps like smokers go through cigarettes. I noticed they don't have a attachment but the peak carb holder/attachment seems to fit but I can't really tell how well from Senior Stoners videos. Should I just go with one of those (if they sell them individually) or is there another option?

This thing really is super cool. I even like the design more than the Peak for some reason even though the Peak Does have a sleeker look imo.

Mine gets way more use and I also keep it fairly clean and I'm still on my original atomizer, both on my V1 with a V1 atty and my V2 with a V2 atty. I think if you just get a repair kit you should be fine with the base unit. And I've dropped the carb cap many times from 5-6 feet high and it's not broken yet. It's so tiny that it's solid by default, lol. But I am considering ordering the peak teather like you meantioned, hopefully it works.

I'm not going to delve into the divide on the atomizer/customer service thing but I think I would be better knowing that I'll be receiving one for 6 months and be ok in case of the abnormal situations that sometimes happen plus having a 2nd in the house (couldn't pass up on the $175 deal and my dispensary was having a concentrate fire sale. It seemed to go hand in hand...except for the hole in the floor underneath where my pocket would have been.) Plus if the Carta takes a dump on me it will be the......3rd device that came with a manufacturer defect in the last 18 months (Tera/Apollo/FIERCE/If you can call the '19 M a defect then 4. Just mentioning it as a proverbial "knock on wood" for luck) and I want the best chance of havng a new device work haha!

Also I don't mind funding a company that's r&d funding will go back into the devices that will be getting shipped to me monthly :rockon:

the android application doesn't Work with my Oneplus 6T Android 9. With the huawei Mate 10 Lite android 8 from my girlfriend everything works fine. Hopefully focusV will fix it the next days...
Does anyone know some Phone which Work too?
Maybe I would buy a used cheap one if the App doesn't come out the next days.

Here is my experience so far:

Galaxy S6 (Android 7) - works flawlessly

Nexus 6p (Android 8) - App finds the Carta (I'm able to find a device on the drop down) but I get a timeout error message.

OnePlus 6t (Android 9) - App fails to find Carta

It seems the app is a bit flaky.. I was hoping my Android 8 device would also work since my s6 can't last stay powered on for more than 30 minutes lol.

I know it's far fetched, but an Android Wear app would be pretty awesome. Firing up from a watch while the phone is in your pocket would be next level!

I also tought a other Android 8 Phone would Work. But my Cubot with Android 8 can't connect.. Nevertheless I know a new system where everything works: Huawei P8 Lite (Android 8)

I was lucky enough to meet the FocusV team today (I called it "focus five" in front of them :doh:) who made good on their promise to swap out my base irl rather than having to warranty it.

After meeting them, I feel I can comfortably dismiss anyone saying they've had an "abysmal" experience with the company. Those people simply have no perspective on what it's like to try building a business from the ground up. It hasn't been a perfect rollout, but it's been pretty damn impressive what these 2 people have managed to accomplish basically by themselves so far.

Redesigning their site, rolling out the subscription service, getting the apps on the marketplaces, setting up the beta accounts to send out dry herb and repair kits, building their online marketplace for 3rd parties to sell accessories, handling literally hundreds of warranty claims and customer service inquiries, promoting to local shops, innovating new accessories - these are a handful of things FocusV has worked on just in the past few days, FROM THE ROAD, traveling with their gigantic family of dogs. All whilst overseeing the production, sales, marketing, distribution, etc. for the company at large. It's an INSANE workload for 2 people to shoulder, yet they manage to do a damn good job of it, all things considered. And they always seem to go above and beyond for anyone who feels they've had a poor experience - which 9 times out of 10 winds up being some entitled jerk who throws a hissy fit when things don't go exactly their way.

Anyway, I was super impressed with what a nice, humble, hard-working, and above all transparent couple they are. I know as a customer it's easy to have tunnel vision about your experience, and feel like you're personally being wronged somehow when things don't go smoothly - I am guilty of this myself. But meeting them today erased any doubts and made me a customer for life. I swapped my base, picked up my herb chamber and repair kit, shared some of my homemade rosin with Randall and another customer who stopped by, and even managed to score a couple nice freebies. I'll let you know how the ceramic cup works soon!

Thanks for sharing Freddie! I really have to agree with you they both seem like great people. I've had all of my issues taken care of without hassle and they've kept most promises. Beta customers are still getting some perks. The app stuff I knew would price difficult, with iOS/Android and the myriad of versions of each. Even without it I think they've released a quality product.

Let us know how the ceramic for works out. I would definitely be in the market when it's released.

Hey Guys! been a few days! Wanted to check in and say we are finally up and running in our new warehouse. I know a few of you guys had a hard time getting your info into the new site. soon as you guys continue to call in for support or chat with us on the DMs you will start to meet some of the new staff. We are starting to take on some new help so we can continue to support everyone!
