Excellent news @NewVape420 Glad to see plans for global domination are underway! Do you have any more teases or updates from the vapelab? What is Dr. Edwyn experimenting on? I know we're still in the first quarter, but can you tell us what 2018 holds for the Flowerpot Faithful?

If not, that's cool. I think you do a great job of keeping us updated while managing the HIGH expectations!

The beakers are bubbling, the condensors are condensing, and the converters are converting. There's so much vapor escaping the lab! Edwyn is hard at work pushing things forward, I think you'll all be very happy to see the results of his efforts...That's all I can say for now...

Can you say when we might hear what these results are? lol. You're killin us over here. We're family!

@Vitolo It does seem like it lately, I'll see new posts but they've got nothing at all to do with the thread topic? On the FP topic though, I have really been enjoying your posts here Uncle Vito!

@NewVape420 Good news, for sure! Glad to hear things are going full-steam, and I'm sure Edwyn is going to impress once more. I can wait until Q3, that seems reasonable! I reckon genius perfection takes some time, and we do not want to rush that. But thanks again for interacting here and keeping current and future customers in the loop!

@Vitolo & Co Im really sorry guys. I only asked about this nere today because I have the Newvape controller for my mum's FP and wanted advice on that contoller and thought- what better place.

I promise I will try my best not to trigger any further derails. I do love this thread however, I would like so badly to be able to take part in the FP antics and talk about that believe me.
It is hard to stay away.

@VCBud thanks so much for checking this out for me and the info, massively appreciated Sir.

Now, back to the Flowerpot (which I am still SO tempted to go downsatirs and switch on)...

I see we had the quite the thread derail here today. If anyone wants to discuss other vapes, please do so in the appropriate threads or via PM. I was going to move all the Elev8r posts into the proper thread, but it would've created a choppy thread over there. I'm tempted to delete them all, but some are mixed with on topic content, so that makes it difficult so I'll just leave them. This course of action dovetails nicely into my current state of stoned laziness, so bonus for me.

In any case, let's try to stay on topic! :whip:

Just some random thoughts @NewVape420 @NewVape710 what about a FlowerPot enhancement that would introduce a swirl to the airflow, almost like a Dyson vacuum. May be difficult/impossible to mill into a single piece, staggered pieces? The swirling hot air could be more efficient. Would love to try that.

The other idea I was contemplating after early discussion of hovering the FlowerPot above the bowl was to build the bowl taller, but drill air holes around the rim, you could raise the FP to the holes inducing more air. Would this introduce a rocket stove type affect although inverted?

I think this was tried last year, but was found to not have any real benefit, while also raising the price. There have been many iterations in an attempt to increase efficiency; the current design has shown to be the most efficient! When we factor in the differences in draw rate, draw fluctuation, coil temps, glass pathway ID, herb density, and load size, there's just so many factors out of our control so we try like hell to provide a product that works in every situation.

Its been shown in the lab that adding air holes would decrease the overall efficiency. The moment you feel any resistance in your draw, a slight vacuum is created and this lowers the temperature at which vaporization occurs which has a two-fold benefit: as the mass of the metal cools ever so slightly as it sheds its heat to the passing air, the slight vacuum enables consistent vaporization...so you can 'Ride the Wave' without needing to adjust anything. Also, terps. That being said, each user is different and some have rigs and setups that incur zero resistance so adding more holes wouldn't add any benefit to that, at least in our experience.

We like the way you're thinking though. Its definitely possible that you're getting results you find more suited to your needs with the top modulation. The constant experimentation that you all are sharing keeps us on our toes, so if you're finding a discernible difference, keep on keepin' on!

Oh wow, suddenly the sublimator makes sense. Didn’t realise the FP was essentially doing the same thing to some degree.

I love the efficiency of my OG SH. .1 g, carb capped at 670-680, two great draws, a stir, and a small clean up draw.

Works wonderfully and quickly.
