Yes, but I wasn't gentle about increasing the draw speed during that test.So the temp spiked and dropped during the draw?
Precisely.Of course, this only holds as long as you don't overwhelm the heater...
Yes, the draw rate plays a very important role along with heater temp.Stu, what strikes me from your Flowerpot test is the way the heater gets overwhelmed apparently fairly easily. As if controling draw rate is still very important.
So I decided to run this test today. Six draws with 20 second intervals for the heater to recover between them. The first five draws were for 10 seconds, while I let the final draw go for 20 seconds. Green arrows mark the start of the draw, red arrows mark the end of each draw.Maybe I'll use the pump to run a real world test, like taking several 10 second draws with maybe 15-20 seconds between them.
The temps are so low because I ran that test using a wide open valve. In retrospect, this was probably not the best test to perform, but I was actively trying to overwhelm the heater, so I thought I'd crank it up to 11.how does it perform at vaporizing temps of 190C? (why so low?)
Just gave a sweetheart a spin on the flower pot. She took a nice, easy, smallish hit. It was absolutely perfect and beautiful for a person's first time with the flower pot. For me this underscores how excellent of a vape this is. It really responds to how a user chooses to use it.
She will always look at the flower pot as something very special because of this experience. This is what FP users love. The moment you see that light flash in their eyes, then you know they know.
Good to hear this.....as I am weighing out the micro dose/taste use case with this in mind. Having a hot bulky setup is on the other end of the scale for me. My biggest concern before I purchase is about the controller/cord setup. The one from NV looks like it's very bulky and stiff. I would like to have a setup that was as stealth or minimal as possible. Which means a possible smaller and more flexible cord from box to heating element/handle.
What options would be good for the budget if I did not get the controller box from NV with the rest of the parts? Is it possible to use one of these control boxes to run a soldiering iron as well?
Thanks for any pointers....as I have little to no knowledge on this type of vape setup.
Are you going to build a custom cable? It would be cool if they were more flexible, my cable works good when it hangs off the side of something. If the whole cable is laying on a table like the pic above it starts acting kind of squirmy. I also think it depends on if your coil port on your PID controller is on the front or back.
My idea is to make a custom box/chamber for the controller and wand. Either way I mount them, best to have the cables pointing downward from connections. Controller would be close to the desk top on the under side. So maybe the stock NV controller will work ok because the cable connects to the back.

Hell yeah! Nice solution! Not that I've had tipping problems w/ my Errlectric version, but peace of mind is always nice.Of course I brought the FP with me, got a solution to those wobbly kick stands too
I think i have found SH nirvana! Unfortunately it does not use my EQ bowl...
I also find i go through a bit more material but the benefits far outweigh the extra herb!
Way more flavor on the first hit and more strength as well!
I am using the Panhead bowl with the double weave Ti screen.
A generous pinch, about 2mm of herb works, set at 610F.
It feels like a dab now from flowers but so much better!!
Low temp heavy hitter with full flavor!!

And our SH's look pretty much identical at this point except the coil cover. Mine has a mixed green and red hue to it. All hail the oven!
Must try! Been living on the high temps. I need to experiment more w/ the low temps. Which means I need to get a ShowerCap. Not sure if I'll go OG or the new Ti version. Searched the thread & didn't find any comparisons. More digging is needed!
Hey @lazylathe. The 13th is rapidly approaching!

Now we need to hold biohacker to the 3 SV3's w/ concentrate sandwiches hit at one time video! We can't let him back out of this one! Let's see if this guy really has 7.5L swimmers lungs!

One thing I noticed on the site, and wanted to mention to @NewVape420
The standard coil nut is marked as 16mm coil nut now...
This applies only to the 20mm-Coil WrapAround. The 16mm-Coil and D-Nail versions did not change. The 16mm Nut will remain available for the other heads. So this is the 20/20:
Also for a short time we're including both heads in the big ShowerHead Bundle, so now that the nuts are the same, you'll get the ShowerHead top, along with the above WrapAround and a SiC dish.
LMAO! I was expecting/hopeful for the same thing!!!Damn....and here I thought the @NewVape420 alert I got was going to be a post about GLASS BOWLS!
GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
