What I think happens with whole / chunky torn flowers is the surface area of exposed resin to convection heat is reduced, insulating some of the trichomes, which delays vaporization, and gives more terpenes time to reach their unique boiling point. Especially terpenes which boil off lower than your draw temp.

Hey guys was looking to buy a whole flowerpot setup, I was wondering if you guys knew of any sales that normally happened? Or anything that might help me get a flowerpot at a pretty reasonable price! Any information helps, I was wanting to get his ASAP but if ordering from DHgate or something is beneficial as far as price goes I’ll be down.

Thanks!!

Big thank you to everyone involved in this great thread. Im in the uk and ordered my flowerpot direct from newvape on the 27th November and got a card yesterday saying it's ready to be picked up from the post office once the import tax of £58 is paid.

So hopefully in an hour os so I will be flowerpotting my face off.

If you haven't vaped whole flowers with the FP you are really missing out. The only problem with vaping whole nugs is it takes a bit more time to break a nug down, so sometimes people are too busy to 'vape the best way'.

I own the top available herb grinder imo, which is the New Vape Fine Grind (arm band version). It is a beautiful grinder in every way. The only issue I have with this grinder is that a full load is a bit more than I want to grind at a time. Still, the New Vape Fine Grind is the best traditional style of grinder if we are talking about the 'grind and it's quality'.

The problem with grinding buds is that grinding pretty much wrecks the flavor in comparison to whole buds. This is not an exaggeration for those who know what I am saying. Many have discovered the minute you grind a nug flavor is lost extremely rapidly. The flavor terpenes in the trichomes must evaporate in a way similar to alcohol because they do not stick around.

So what to do if you want the whole nug flavor all of the time...at least as close as you can get? Even a stupid blind squirrel, like me, finds a nut every now and then.

To get that delicious fresh bud flavor I crave all the time with my Flower Pot. For me the answer is definitively the Chewy 2 grinder, it actually cuts not grinds. I always have it loaded with whole nugs and when I want to vape I just 'grind' the exact amount I want and it is always completely fresh (I fucking love it). The next best thing to vaping whole nugs imo.

I have decided to have a wedding. I hereby wed the New Vape FPSH to the Chewy 2 grinder. A match made in stoner heaven.

I've heard mixed reviews for the Chewy 2. You seem to love it though, I'm gonna read up on it.
You really find a significant difference when using it?
Also, why not just cut nugs into a few smaller pieces with scissors ?

Other than one being manual (scissors) and the other powered (chewy 2) The chewy stores it too. I dont know about you but i like powered things and would like fluffy grinds.

Thank you @steama for the intro. BTW, how does it work with tight nugs? Those rock hard nugs. I am curious if the chewy 2 can grind it fluffy still.

@steama what do you think about a thicker, sturdier titanium screen so you could crush whole nugs after vaping without indenting the screen, and load convection dabs right on.

The Chewy 2 is exceptional and many of those mixed reports may be about the original Chewy. The Chewy 2 is a huge improvement. It is built like a tank and is very elegant and easy to operate. I would say the grind is a medium/fine grind. The herb is not ground, but perfectly cut.

Using the Chewy 2 is as simple as it gets. I just load the Chewy 2 with about 3 grams of buds, close it up, and grind exactly the amount I need into the bowl. With the Chewy 2 you grind the exact amount of herb into the Flower Pot bowl so it is always as freshly cut as possible. You will notice your herb tastes better and fresher with the Chewy 2 over any other traditional grinder. Fresh, fast and as easy as pushing a button.

I've used scissors before but I very much prefer the results of the Chewy 2, it just does a better job.

For me the main point of the Chewy 2 is I get the freshest hits and grind only the exact amount needed every time I grind.

No waste, no fuss, no muss. The Chewy 2 is a well made cannabis luxury item. Grinding has never been more simple or better.

I have been trying to think of why I would go back to using any other grinder. It is that good in imo.

Already altered my method on this. With my herb tool/poker I push the load to a side of the bowl wall and roll/crush the herb against the bowl wall for the final hit.

:)

Do you keep multiple screens stacked in your bowl at all times, or just when you are doing a convection dab? Or do you have another bowl for that?

Good to know, thanks!
The main concern I've seen people mention is it gets clogged up if your bud is too sticky, and that it needs to be dried first to work properly.
Any truth to that in your opinion?

Edit: Will stop posting about it in this thread.

Just used it for the 1st time. Tried it w/ a 14mm Male to Female adapter (just like the Vapocane adapter) & a EQ screen (sitting on top of the joint) w/ just my 14mm j-hook. Puts the load right up there super close! I tried just using the j-hook's female joint, but the FP won't fit over the joint like it will w/ the adapter.

Anyways, tried it at 375°F & 450°F w/ no vapor but terpy goodness. Then tried 700°F w/ a fast draw & got a phat cloud (very smooth, no coughing) but the taste was spent by then (burnt popcorn flava). Tried another EQ bowl this way, this time at 625°F (slowing my draw a little), & got a similar phat cloud, but the flavor wasn't as good as I was hoping. Gonna try 550°F next.

Wanna try it w/ a Vapocane screen in the 14mm M-F adapter next so the loads a little further away. Should improve the taste a little. :rofl:I'll get to the 14mm Stubby bowl I got eventually. Having too much fun trying weird, funky concoctions w/ it at the moment. Feeling pretty high off dem 2 little bowlz.

Purely looks. I just got the Panhead and love it compared to the OG bowl with handle.

Yes, the screen is lower on the Adjustable bowls than the OG Bowls. The adjustable is the same depth as the 14mm Stubby i believe.

On a side note, USPS is working hard. My Newvape order shipped Friday and i got it delivered on Sunday!
Thank you!

Someone mentiond in this thread that he got a more airy hit with the adjustable head.
Did someone observe the same?
Is the adjustable head for microdosing as good as the smaller og head with handle?

Does someone knows if the Flower Pot can get me higher with the same amount of herb than the Lotus with wpa?
I am really thinking hard of buying this vape but the problem is i already have a few heavy hitters sitting around(Mighty with wpa,EQ,Underdog...) and the only vape i use is the Lotus with wpa because of the 10 seconds beat up time and the big Bang.

I am curious of reading your answers because i really like this vape.

Thank you!

Try code twaxvapor for 10% off , are you the guy i was talking to over at reddit , trying to sway towards the FP ?

Oh and forgot to add @Morty good luck buddy , i'm excited for you. I remember my 1st time hitting a FP , i was amazed. Cant wait to see how you like it and congrats. Go Kosher and Medium is a good start , fine will hit you hard.
Thank you!
No that wasn't me.
Greetings

This "issue" was resolved with the rev 2 post that they now sell for the adjustabowl. It was only slightly more airy in comparison to previous bowls. The gap could be plugged to resolve the issue as well.

Greetings and yw , just to elaborate on the adjust a bowl , they work perfectly now like the guy above me stated. I had just got the new revision last night and they are amazing and work really well and can fit the new double weave screens perfectly which i happen to really like allot. Not only that but they look great on your glass as they can be adjusted in length wise on to your glass joint. The 1st style had the slightest air leak that in my opinion still provided great hits but now they have machined the downstems for them so there is no air leak .

Is that dropdown relatively sturdy? I need one badly. I've got a few pieces of glass that have an appropriate gap between FP and face, but two that I need to create some distance with. I've put off getting a dropdown due to what I perceive as too much stress put on the glass. I've seen yours here a few times, welds look good. The male joint on the glass takes most of the load and that is what I'm worried about. But hey if it breaks, hit the GAS.

Super sturdy and happy i found it , all my life i have purchased cheap drop downs and broke everyone in time , sometimes 1st use i have broken them or they wobble , This one was pricey and its tough , no wobble on any of my glass at all. i don;t always use a dropdown but with the piece pictured i like it allot.

I've been pretty much on cruise control for a bit. Decided to try out 710F and been at it for the past week or so. I still seem to prefer the micro bowls no matter temp setting. A good 0.3gr nug broke up and split between 3-4 bowls depending on how much vapor the herb produces. Full bowls just get too roasty, and while convenient, I'll just take a dab of rosin if I'm in a rush. I've done the full nug, scissor cut nugs, and they are all super flavorful, but these microbowls, I dont think are any less flavorful for me, it's like a flavor+vapor bomb at the same time. I use a S&B grinder and also my space case 2 piece, they both seem to have a similar grind, usually 10-20 turns depending on how it feels, all buds at 62% RH.

Did we just become best friends?? lol

Joking aside, this is where I am at, exactly. Well, I keep mine at 58% but everything else is spot on. The Pax loading tool sold by NV, barely full (roughly about .05g) at 710f is perfect. Throw some concentrate on top or in the chamber with flower....WOW! It's been hard to go back to lower temps after being stuck here.
