Depends on what bowl you have.
I have an original 14/18mm bowl and the EQ basket is a perfect fit!
Thanks! I have the 14mm Male Original Stubby and the newer 14/18mm Female with handle (not adjustabowl). Since the EQ Baskets are so much cheaper...think I'll try those first.

Does this make sense?? While upheating I think so but after getting the same temperature the coil cover should hold back some of the coil's heat!?
I think for sure the coil cover was getting hotter than the dish. I just realized the wraparound head has finally turned a beautiful purple blue color when it has always been a golden bronze color before and the coil cover was the only thing that had that purple blue color.

How do you think the removal of the coil cover affects flower hits, if at all?

My SH has been on all day so far (about 6 hours) at 560.

The dish is on 490 - 500, the coil cover is at 450. I'm pretty certain the wraparound would behave similarly with regards to the coil cover. I can plug it in if you want me to check exact temps.

I guess I've gotten confused...do I need the EZ Load (VapeXHale) baskets or EQ Baskets (Arizer)? Wanted to get some to try and concentrate the heat to an area better.
Join our club! There has been quite some confusion over this. It has been sorted and clarified many times, but I am still a bit boggled. I haven't got that far yet but Im not sure right now what screen to get for my bowl(s).

Maybe it wont be necessary soon anyway, depending on Newvape bowl and insert developmemts.

@Justpassedu thanks for the useful tips always, keep 'em rolling in buddy, you are a real, and original cornerstone around here!
I expect I will want some heat protection for my own showercap as I certainly intend to explore all methods, including pre-heating showercap etc. I may look at the threaded pax loading tool down the line, but your acqaurium tubing sounds like a good fix for now.

Would this one be suitable do you know? I just looked for the cheapest (I don't got no fishtank anyhow!;))

Right, I better take my dog for her walk. Been managing symptoms and washing since 12 pm (3.5 hours), and now- I have arrived in the day! Day one of short voluntary vapor break before the Showerhead and myself become acquainted very soon (date undsiclosed atm.):)

Vapexhale Evo basket lids are a snug fit in my flowerpot bowls.. (14 & 18mm males)
It does concentrate the heat into the tiny load moreso than just putting the same flower in the middle of the large screen, but also makes it more awkward to empty

Thanks Alexis , appreciate that. That should do the trick or easier if you have a local pet store they can usually cut you a small piece for change. Better to go as i am unsure of the exact size i had used and it took some force to actually get it on.

What are your thoughts on carb capping for denser vapor?

Tried it, and I can actually get denser vapour without it with a slower draw. I still think it's a design/airflow thing as @lazylathe expanded on.

I've blown out hits that rivaled smoke. I only get wispy hits with low temps uncapped or even lower capped. Anything over about 630F capped or 700F uncapped gives me dense vapor and can be damn near close to combustion depending on the speed that draw the air.

This is something I personally have not experienced, unless i'm subjecting my pulmonary system to some serious discomfort (meaning fine grind, non-micro dose, and upper temp). I tried 700+ but it's a double edged sword with your airflow.

he crafty puts out some vapor rival the FP IMO

I should hope so! At a governed 210c, the crafty puts out some airy vapour as well IMO.

Since the EQ Baskets are so much cheaper...think I'll try those first.

They don't fit any bowls but the OG. Try the VXL Elb CAPS.

All roads lead to Rome with the FP range. With/without, up/down, fast/slow. Just last night I had my first 'I'm sick of the draw restriction from this fucking carb cap' after being permacapped for about a month now but havent gone back to free flowing yet. Its great knowing that it just wont matter, I'll still be able to dial in the same hits with a few parameter changes and reap the benefits :D

Yup yup. Thats why there aint no perfect vape. I can get killer hits or whispy hits out of nearly all the vapes I've used over the years but only one so far has been truly satisfying for me :)

@biohacker bro, airy hits with the crafty? Compared to the FP or some other device? I don't doubt your experience, I just don't share it.

Check out my youtube channel biohack9 for a comparison of the Mighty at Max temp vs Grasshopper max temp, both .1g and it will illustrate what i'm referring to. I think everyone has a different definition of milk, density, thick vapour, etc. just based on my readings through this this thread.

AH HA!

It wasnt carb capping draw restriction. The screen was clogged. Was about to torch it and then thought 'why the fuck are you doing that?'...

Upped the temp to 700f, with a completely empty bowl, massive hits :D

EDIT: Correction, one large hit. Ti double weave screens, it turns out, do not clog like normal screens at all. Thats fucking brilliant.

Flowerpot Adjust-A-Bowl Theory and Installation Explained

@NewVape710 / @NewVape420 - Hi Edwyn, thanks for the video on the adjustabowl. We have spoken on the phone once before and communicated electronically, and as a result I created a picture in my mind of what you look like. I have no idea why but I came up with very tall and very thin while in reality you are built more like a linebacker (haha....and that's NOT an insult, mate! haha). Its one reason I don't like to see the movie if I have read the book....to often my imagined character doesn't come close to what a casting director picked for an actor.

I know nothing about 'alpha' bowls that you referred to (i.e. 10 alpha bowls with wrong inside diameter and I think you mentioned raising the screen a bit??).

QUESTION: So here's my question, is the adjustabowl in a final GA configuration or do you have planned mods, in the short term, to it to fix any outstanding issues?

I ask because I would like to order the adjustabowl and stems but as has been discussed here, I would prefer to not buy until the release is fairly stable.

Are you at a more or less final config for the adjustabowl at this time?

I can't tell you how many times I've done exactly this with the Omnivap! Each time being convinced that I can't stand using the vape, and bemused that I ever thought it was any good!

Unable to get barely a draw, until it finally twigs! Doh, you would think I would learn wouldn't you?!:hmm:

Then I torch the screen and viola- that's why I like the vapcap!

Man I bet you were SO happy when you finally twigged it was the screen blocked earlier! Not to mention the trauma you must have felt when it seemed you might have to give up capping!
Im pleased for you that the crisis has now resolved itself.:)

No, the double weave screens that New Vape had on their website are .78" and will not work. They are not on the New Vape website any longer.

My guess is a size change is on the way.

:2c:
My guess also. Things dont stand still for long at Newvape. I will be quite surprised actually if very soon perfect fitting Ti double weaves are'nt available that will work for most or all situations/bowls.
Thanks for catching this early, it means that the changes will take place immediately so that more people benefit sooner.

I have been running the wraparound head with out the coil cover and I am getting way better dabs than with the coil cover. I think the coil cover brings the dish temp down significantly. Does anyone else notice this as well?
1st thing i noticed when i got the coil cover was how much more stable my temps stayed , very little drop when hitting it compared to with out the cover. I don't really have a way to measure the dish temp but i have not noticed temps going down without it as my dabs usually finish and don't pool much using compared to when i did not have it. I'll try and test a bit more when i can with and without buddy.

Flowerpot Adjust-A-Bowl Theory and Installation Explained

Okay this video just makes me want to hop a plane across the pond and hang out with Edwyn. How much fun would it be if we all showed up at NewVape Friday at quitting time? Is there a hotel within stumbling distance?

This quote killed me: "It just doesn't stick. I've used this hundreds of times, during testing..." LOL, hundreds of times... hell of a task, but when you're an inventor I guess that's just part of the try, try again part of the job! Anyway, thank you sir for another great video and the chuckle.

and the white powder is just really fine white powder
I'm thinking that glue stuff used to plug that hole just burned up and went in there. there used to be more of that glue stuff. this is a new high 5 enclosed coil

Also the flowerpot fell and melted carpet on the top edges whats a good way to get that off

What is that brown spot on coil + cover that seems rust? Others with rust on coil? I find the whole thing quite worrying and I don't know why, our more experienced colleagues, have not still say anything on this issue. But which head it should be? The cover of my showerhead is different. I initially thought that you have mounted cover upside down: I had done same, first day, and the result was more similar to your image but still remaining different. What happens removing head and cover? other visible damages? And giving a deep clean?

I think for sure the coil cover was getting hotter than the dish. I just realized the wraparound head has finally turned a beautiful purple blue color when it has always been a golden bronze color before and the coil cover was the only thing that had that purple blue color.

As said above, first day I mounted coil cover upside down and I noticed that now, since when it is properly installed, cover remains a lot less blue than before and showerhead reaches a blue and purple much more intense, letting understand that in this way temperatures are more constant and appropriate

This is a high 5 enail enclosed coil. That brown stuff is some kind of heat resistant glue. It covered that hole but seemed to have been applied improperly since it must of just fallen off from rubbing against a metal tray. The white powder turned out to be what the enclosed coil uses for heat insulation. That glue was a diffrent color when i got it though it was more of a black i think. I asked high 5 and they're gonna give me another since they now consider my coil defective. It does still work fine but just a little tap sends a bunch of white powder out of the hole.
So theres no newvape cover for the coil. i wish there was because i burned the fuck out of my hand grabbing at it when i was stoned and the bong was falling over.

Also I've been using a dhgate side car mobius matrix. If i fill it up a little above the perk i get MASSIVE blowback. Every hit when i take the cap off i get a shower of avb that lands in the dish or on the bong. With the sic dish i would get a ploom of vapor from the top but that dosent happen with the showerhead. Just shower of Avb. It's even worse if i took the actual heater part of and not put it back on before i stop breathing in. Thats annoying. I cant get a cool function if i'm forced to fill the least amount. works fine with other bongs. I'm using a 14mm bowl with a 14mm female to 18mm male adapter into the 18mm mobius,

Also why are your guys flowerpots blue? My sic turned gold and my showerhead is beginning to turn gold too.

I'm not familiar with final GA configuration?

We are making changes as we speak and intend on re sending each initial Alpha purchaser a new rev (per alpha rollout). The bowl remains .75 x .5 we are making adjustments for the range of sizes of 18mm rigs we've encountered. The intention is for the 18mm & 14mm inserts to be completely clear of the screen over a broad range of differently sized rigs. Once the replacment parts are completed and the alpha rollout is over we will establish rev-1 and reactivate the parts for sale. I'm not proud of my video production skills or my looks either. However I will sleep a little better knowing my customers fully understand the design intent.

Will the .78" double weave Ti screens have any use with any Newvape bowls being that all bowls remains .75 x .5?

Also, has anyone used this .78" double weave Ti screen and was able to get it to fit? I have a couple of these arriving tomorrow and was curious to know if i just threw away $15? or I have a chance to use them properly.
