The terp pearls/SiC balls also zoom over the air intake holes, so they may be adding turbulence or having some affects on the incoming air from rolling over the carb cap holes? I dunno, spit balling... or SiC balling.

Anyway...

I tried again and spent a few days dabbing at 630f with 6 SiC balls. My lungs still cant hack it, it was fine for a few days but after that, lungs are complaining again, coughing a lot and not coping well.

Back down to 580 again. WHEN WILL I LEARN!?

My biggest issue is my desk has abv all over it from emptying the bowl out using the round base/debowler that came with my combo, does this help keep things a little cleaner?

First, knock off matrix perc, from 2014 I believe, broken downstem.... 18M glass and Ti bowls.
Microdoses of landrace Durban Poison and Lemon Pie flowers, WeedEater on glass bowl, SH on Ti bowl. Uncapped and minimum heat soaking bowl.
Second, real OG circa 2013?? Mobius Clear Matrix, double decker VROD 14M Ti bowl,
with Lemon Pie flower, plus Trinity diamantes en salsa dab on top,
paired with D-Cup Trinity diamantes en salsa dab.
All heads run at 666F, D-Cup at 555F.

I saw 420 on that green controller in your video above (june 22) and was going to ask if that if that was in Fahrenheit because it seemed low for the amount of vape you got from the Weedeater

Got no dark ring with terp pearls that weren't spinning because they were slightly stuck to the dish. It seems like the increased surface area that someone else pointed out plus carb cap just lets it heat a little more evenly.

In case anyone was interested in using their flowerpot on a 10mm rig with a glass bowl, I reached out to an American glassblower who is willing to do custom slides with a honeycomb screen for a very reasonable price. I posted it over at glass, but wanted to share here since it’s specifically for the flowerpot.

If you watch my second Wake & Vake, I was setting the time, 4:20!!! Jajajajajaja
That green box, is my first desktop vaporizer, an old school box vaporizer.
I broke the bowl/wand, that had a whip attachment. I believe it’s been retired, since I got my first Solo in 2012.
Nice times of discovery.

Out of interest, what reason do you have for large loads? That you dont wanna refill the bowl or that you have a fairly large tolerance?

Partial laziness i'll admit, from just having to reload so much. I figured this as much and have been backing off packing too much in and its been better.

I have been experimenting with the cap again and I can honestly say that if I start without the cap, then switch and finish the bowl with a cap, I get it toasted evenly with no ring. I think this working great for me at my temp of 580 and it seems like its getting a more even thorough extraction.

Hey @NewVape710 do you think it would be possible to make a glass bowl with no honeycomb screen and instead a divot to hold a Ti or SS screen? I was personally using a glass ice pinch style combustion slide with a screen in it and thought the flavor was still good but moved to the honeycomb exclusively since it supports the FP better.

No need for the glass screen for dabbing (and if you use the Ti screen for flower because it's not as porous, the divots instead sound like a great idea). Plus, I think without the honeycomb screen fused in there, the bowl might be stronger. When mine broke, it was a clean cut right around the honeycomb attachment when I lifted my Vrod head off it.

If you want to protect a hand formed joint, you can use a 14mm to 10mm reducer with a 10mm bowl instead of a dropdown. This gives you the protection without adding any bulk to your rig. One of my FC homies used to do that with his Liger and HashMastaKut rig.

that recently crossed my mind too, since I have one for my vapcap. I'd just need to order a 10mm joint from NV.

I'll probably do both versions since they're easy. Going to wait a few days to see if there is any action on a "screen-less" glass bowl, and then go on and order a 10mm joint and some of the other little new things they recently released

Excellent. Theres always a way round these things with the FP. Variable adjustment are a great feature. When I was doing flower, I'd be doing the same as you, trying to fill as much as possible while trying to not have any of the negatives that could bring.

YES! I was after something like this, and eventually just knocked the honeycomb glass screen out of the bowl I had. An inelegant solution but it worked

Tho my goal was no screen at all seeing as I was purely dabbing.

Uh....why not just get one of the existing available glass bowls with glass screen and put your SS or Ti screen on top of the glass one. I gather you are trying to keep more herb particles out of your rig?

The difference is airflow. Two is the standard and for most uses, it will be more than sufficient. However, If you want to move 20 pearls in your dish (an exaggeration, of course....or is it?)... you may just need more power = more airflow = more holes.

That's my layman explanation. anyone care to add?

A 2 hole carb cap moves up to 6 terp pearls/SiC balls, with ease, in the VRod SiC dish.

A 1 hole cap is a nightmare to get any balls/pearls to move. A 2 hole carb cap is a nightmare to get 7+ balls/pearls to move.

6 balls/pearls fills half of the VRod SiC dish.

Thats all my findings I think?
