I combusted once @685. I think it was my third or fourth time using the SH, I crushed a delicious bowl of flower and then went for some wax off the SH. About halfway through all went to hell in a handbag, id forgotten in my SH induced haze the empty the bottom bowl and poof!

So stoked to get my handle yesterday and put my dabber back on the carb cap. I like this one a lot better than the breakaway.
I ordered the double weave Ti screen too but I guess I forgot they only fit the new bowls

I folded the edges over and made it a square. I now use it to scrape my dab on and place it on top of the flower for the convection experience

Using the FP is a really fun ritual I agree. Still too early for me to say I prefer it over dabbing, but it's really neck and neck and I was not expecting this to happen.
The reason I think the FP might be better is you get more tasty hits out of a session. If I take a dab I can finish I get one very tasty hit. At the right settings with the FP and full nug I get multiple. FP is just more economical and efficient over dabbing in many ways.
It's also a very intimate experience for enjoying flower. I enjoy taking my dabber to a full nug after a hit and breaking it up. Lots of fun to play with. I don't feel other vapes would give me quite the same feeling. Loading the Milaana up is just loading a stem. Meh... (still love my Mi though).

Im 50/50 with flower and extracts which lead me to buy a dual kit enail to power everything. This way i can keep both FP WA and FP SH hot and ready as well as my Liger. And i bought a bunch of the best buy wannabe wemo wifi plugs for $15 on sale now. I got enail 1 which is the single enail and enail 2 which is the dual kit enail. Now on the way home from work, i just say hey google, "turn on enail 2" for flowerpots or enail 1 for Liger and when i am home, its hot and ready! I am a smarthome junkie. Got a couple of echos too but not a fan of those compared to Google home and the Pixels.
But with the addition of the sapphire halo to my FP WA, the Liger has only been used for full melt hash a few times a day and twaxing has become the daily yesterday as i get best of all worlds. I get to vape flower and rosin or sauce on sapphire. Like a dream come true!
I actually passed out in the 1st quarter of the steeler game until halftime after two twax rips. Then the rest of the night, i use the SH and flowers only until bedtime. That is when the Baby Jesus and Liger comes out to end the night with 73u hash.
I love that idea. Have those on order with a bunch of other shit from Newvape. I love their accessories.

combustion events suck... mine was on a third hit with a full bowl and I capped it.. slow draw and instantly got a mouthful of shit. Only a little charring on the AVB surprising what just a little smoke does to the taste of good bud. I have been pouring over this thread and peoples temps are all over the place. While the FP is very versatile it also going to take some tweaking of the variables to get it dialed in right. Problem is with a new toy I just want to get high not do science projects. LOL Definitely love this thing. Was surprised that I got both the threaded and OG scoops in my bundle. That Ghost MV1 is going to sit for awhile or until I go on a road trip.
For the record, capped, at 630, I have NEVER combusted (also, my research suggests that theres actually no point going over 640f with flower if everything else is dialed in but thats another story and ppl will argue
).For some bizarre reason, I way upped my temps for the hell of it even tho I know I dont benefit.

I tried out @invertedisdead 733F suggestion with the SH last night. Great quick hits if you don't linger. 
I was using a fine-ish grind and was getting whitewalled within a couple seconds with a fairly quick draw.

Weird i been using this vape since release and never once com-busted , although i never really use it above 700F , 674F and below for me .

wasn't a full combustion but charred the top center of the bowl. I think I was at 700 on a bowl that was pretty much cooked and I capped it.

For those that combusted, what was your load size like? I am usually on 710-715f but ONLY if I'm doing .025-.05 size loads.
I have combusted one time though. Ironically, it was on 680f if I recall. Load was pretty much spent, was trying to extract that last little bit on the 2nd revision bowl with handle loaded about halfway. Had a slow draw and was watching tv. Next thing I know...it hits me and I look down to see that yellow-ish whitewall. Did show me how easy the FP cleans up.
On another note, I see everyone with their bigger-ish rigs but does anyone else enjoy the FP through some smaller pieces? I am in LOVE with the smaller ones.

I have not combusted with my SH's....not even close.
I'm at 620 or so with the OG SH and up that to aqbout 680 for the Pan Head with the deeper bowl. No problems.
I even ran the pan head at 710 F like in NV's video and not problem (just a bit hot and harsh for me at that temp).
I cap all of my SH loads.

Yeah, slightly, which was also part of the problem.
I would never recommend tamping. I dont tamper with tamping*
I just forgot how to be Master of My Domain for 12 hours or so *Ordinarily.

Are some of you guys sure you combusted? Fine grind slow draw in the 700s can get pretty dark and taste kinda bad at times. If you haven't combusted in years you could be mistaking heavy vapor for smoke. I still combust here and there and I have never once got close to that with the FP. I have gotten some pretty nasty tasting hits but never true smoke. Heavy vapor can be deceiving,

Damn that's interesting, I forgot about a bag I had going long enough to melt the solid valve housing, but mine never did combust.
Glowing embers and ash arent so deceiving
EDIT: The other thing was a blocked screen too, which was also part of my volcano combustion.

LOL I was coming to say the same. When I took the head off of my bowl, it was a huge red amber. I know what you mean though, I see some people calling something as combusted and it'll just be heavily vaped.Glowing embers and ash arent so deceiving

The one time it happened with me, it was very strange though indeed. I've even tried to make it happen again and I can't. I don't know if I simply had the draw speed *JUUUUST* right or if the amount loaded was slightly too much for 680f.
