Replacement DHGate Vapecode controller and 20mm coil shipped today.

I caught China at a wrong moment as last week was a holiday over there. Replacement has been shipped as soon as the holiday was over.

Good service.

I’m with you @emmdeemo , 584F capping but you can see vapor forming from the flower without the Carb cap also. This was a Twax Hit . Flower & Concentrate at 584F using the showerhead , dab tasted pretty good also at this temp off the titanium. That 1 Hit got me feeling really nice.

Yeah, this is my first bunch of testing with the Showercap and flowers. I've joined you in the 585 range and still getting huge clouds. Considering I was getting acceptable results at 560 WITHOUT the carb cap, I'm assuming I've still got some decent temp drops to come.

Couldn't imagine dropping that low temp wise, must be all that hunk of metal being heated? I'm going the other way as I'm still working with the sapphire dish and getting those temps dialled in. Looking toward 650f to get great clouds, flavour and effects.

633 is where I sit usually. Very very tasty and pretty milky for my taste. 655 is a good number for more milk without losing much taste.

Some rigs/tubes are easier to milk up than others. I've found the dhgate fab egg to be pretty great for milk production.

Almost there...

I am at 695 currently with the quartz dish and everything tastes so good!!
Hitting my WT dry and it just keeps producing vapor!!
:mmmm:

@biohacker I came to edit this to say that it is amazing DRY!!
The flavors are intense, clouds are a bit thinner but last longer.
I relate this to less drag and suction.
Full spectrum!!

If you slow your draw rate down while using a carb cap you can go with SUPER low temps. There must be some sort of sliding scale based on draw rate. Like many vapes the slower you draw, the longer the air has to heat up.

I can't go that low. - I have to rip that shit! That's one of many reasons I love this thing. I can take full, natural breaths with zero restrictions, but that means a little higher readout on the dial.

Sidenote: The FlowerPot is kinda like Spinal Tap.

I have tried 650 to 700 and seem to like 700 best so far.

This really is a fun vape, and i just love the fact it is great with BOTH dry herb and concentrates. Typically jack of all trade means, master of none but not here.

Minor issues include handles to bowl and cap both come unscrewed, cords that i wish were longer, lack of any SS screens included, and vapor that does come in a bit dry and hot.

I have tried cramming a whole nug chunk like i prefer with a few other vapes but this bowl is so damn wide it doesn't make much sense. At the moment i prefer ground or hand pulled material.

Great extraction. One of the top on the market. Seems to be pure convection, unlike something like the Supreme 3.

A vape i see myself using often, but rarely sharing with others. Too much to go wrong, and hard to use and share.

The Errlectric Ti screens are the best screens I've ever used or had in my own two hands. The double mesh is impressive and these screens are very stout when compared to other screens out there.

These Ti screens do not flex out or become flimsy after repeated use, heating/cooling and installation and removal for cleaning. Others I've used generally don't stay seated in bowls and are just to flexible for my liking. This usually also allows more bits to pass by the screen from my experiences and they fall apart much quicker from repeated use too.

When compared to steel and brass screens the Ti screens had a noticeable taste advantage over the other metals. As in they didn't seem to taint the taste during draws like the other metals did a bit.

I like to find the best deals out there just like the next person when it comes to price and quality. Yes, these Ti screens are a bit expensive but at this point most of us have already dropped a good amount of coin on our set-ups. So why not match the quality from toes to top! What I'm saying here is that you don't buy a Bugatti and then mount retread, low rated tires on it. It just doesn't make sense.

I've been using the new bowl design from NV for weeks now and just like anything NV produces these babies are spot on machining wise and function great.

There are a few things however that I noticed right away with the new design when compared to the og male stubby bowls which are still tops in my book to this day.

First with or without heat the new male design is a pain in the ass when removing it from glass joints. The two protruding rings on the bottom that make contact with your water tools glass joint just like to bind up in place every time. I suggest maybe going back to the far easier tapered smooth design that is on the ends of your og male bowls and incorporate that into the new design. A little light left to right wiggle is all that is needed and the og bowls easily unseat.
LLfuoNP.jpg

After many, many, many sessions I noticed that the ledge inside the new bowls left a ring of noticeably less extraction of the flower that was sitting around its lip on the screen inside the bowl. This does not happen in the og male bowls. However a quick stir will fix this miniscule extraction abnormality but I'm just pointing out the differences here for everyone from my testing and observations.

Be prepared for a bit more scrubbing when you clean these and I do mean a bit when compared to the og bowl design. Just like anything vaporizer related keep up on your cleaning intervals. This gives you better function, taste and cuts down on cleaning times in between.

I personally have tested the heat expansion and think it is moot when it comes to it adding to the sticking problem. I'm not saying that heat doesn't expand metal because it does, it just is not a factor here.

From my observations it seems to be actually from the added weight of the FP heads that rest on the bowls during use. Weight + gravity = a tighter seat in glass joints.

I've noticed that many of you here in the thread mention that the bowl is still hot so you need a handle. I ask you this, honesty how fast are you reloading your bowl after a session and if it's right away how often?

Because by the time I go to load another bowl right away, if I even do so at all that bowl has already been cool for a long time now.

Also right after use the og bowls only take about a minute to cool and handle comfortably in your hands. 60 seconds is not even an issue to have to wait for cooling to reload a bowl in the grand scheme of all things considered here. If someone has issues with waiting this long I suggest some patience training.

I'm not handle hating here. I like both styles, just personally not as much as the og male bowls without the handle.

The og male bowls bottom tapered part also has a larger inside diameter when compared to the new male handle version. So more air flow here while the vapor exits. Yes it's a small difference but it is what it is.
FOerpAa.jpg

Lastly and my favorite part about the og male bowls when compared to the new ones is the size of the bowl and the simplicity of it. It's just larger and deeper than the new versions. This allows for some real serious amounts of flower to be packed in comparably.
uzccX45.jpg

So there you have it both styles are great and well made. I've just personally retired my handle version and continue to use the og male bowls exclusively. I do however on occasion still bust out the handle version if I'm loading multiple bowls so that they're at the ready and on standby. Cheers my FlowerPot FAMILY!

Well said my friend , well said. I happen to really like my stubby bowl as well in many ways , biggest being that it holds more material. I have posted a pick way back int he thread but i did put a tiny drop of tubing on it for loading and unloading without burning the hands. Sometimes if i have guests i will immediately repack after vapor starts to taper off. As for those Buggati screens , i have to buy 1 or 2 as you suggested. I'll be honest i have no problems with my fine stainless screens i been using but if you suggest those than they must be nice. I forgot to test out the new bowl design this weekend as i was to excited to try out my shower cap. Did ya see the video ? getting temps down and huge rips.

The Errlectric Ti screens are very much worth the money IMO for all the reasons @ichibaneye mentioned.

The vapor is much MUCH more pleasant compared to the SS screens. I can't imagine what brass is like...yuuuuuuck.

I was amazed what a difference it made. Totally worth the cost too. :2c:

Well, I don't have my FP yet, but I did order a few of the Errlectric screens. Yeah, bit much for screens but not much when taken in context of the whole rig.

I have SS and Ti screens.....but these Errlectric screens looked to be really a cut above and glad to get some of the good reviews on them for the FP.

Cheers

Minor issues include handles to bowl and cap both come unscrewed

some people use blu-tak or whatever to fix this... a small amount of reclaim applied to the 'female' threads also works, but the carbcap gets hot so obviously that won't stick always as the concentrate gets runny. works good enough for me the past 2~ weeks though

Yes! Stay away from the brass if you can. They all work great but that brass tastes like you're actually licking on some brass metal to me. It's not pleasant at all. However all of our pallets our different. Mine is very sensitive and discerning. :D

@Justpassedu unless it's your most recent video I've not yet watched it. How are you liking my and NV's showrcap design? Bwaahaha! :brow:I was flown out to Vegas over the weekend for some recon. I've got 2 pages to catch up on my friend. Thank you for your input. It's always well received.

I just noticed your set temperature on that rip...I bet that was flavor city brother! Nice and good remix on that tune too.

Also I forget who said it a few pages back but you'd be mistaken if you think I've not read every post on every page in this thread. Once home I always read every post on every page. This is my life buddy! ;):science:

Ah, I don't think its blu-tak which is a putty type material.

Blue Locktite, however, if probably what you were thinking of.

Thank you @ichibaneye these comments are all noted. In 3-4 weeks I hope to begin the 3rd gen bowls. I'll post some cad drawings so everyone has a chance to chime in. I did just get a quote for some USA grade 2 double weave (i think they call it twill) screens. I love the Bugatti with retreads reference. Your reporting that the rev1 taper comes off easier than the rev2 with the two standing rings. I'm committed to the finishing touches of the flowerpot.

Ah that lovely sound to my ears...play it again Sam! USA grade 2....beebop doowoop scrim scam boom!

I love that your screens will be the twillest around. I'm sold already on these [just like all of your products] so put me down for a bakers dozen sir!

Yes, the version 1 taper is night and day in comparison to the version 2 with the rings. I'm glad to be of service and look forward to the future. You're welcome and thank you also.

I'd like to add that if anyone here cannot see that Edwyn loves what he does and that he is committed to his FP users, craft and perfecting his products please line up for some heavy backhanded slaps to the face! :dog:
