The Errlectric Ti screens are the best screens I've ever used or had in my own two hands. The double mesh is impressive and these screens are very stout when compared to other screens out there.
These Ti screens do not flex out or become flimsy after repeated use, heating/cooling and installation and removal for cleaning. Others I've used generally don't stay seated in bowls and are just to flexible for my liking. This usually also allows more bits to pass by the screen from my experiences and they fall apart much quicker from repeated use too.
When compared to steel and brass screens the Ti screens had a noticeable taste advantage over the other metals. As in they didn't seem to taint the taste during draws like the other metals did a bit.
I like to find the best deals out there just like the next person when it comes to price and quality. Yes, these Ti screens are a bit expensive but at this point most of us have already dropped a good amount on our set-ups. So why not match the quality from toes to top! What I'm saying here is that you don't buy a Bugatti and then mount retread, low rated tires on it. It just doesn't make sense.
I've been using the new bowl design from NV for weeks now and just like anything NV produces these babies are spot on machining wise and function great.
There are a few things however that I noticed right away with the new design when compared to the og male stubby bowls which are still tops in my book to this day.
First with or without heat the new male design is a pain in the ass when removing it from glass joints. The two protruding rings on the bottom that make contact with your water tools glass joint just like to bind up in place every time. I suggest maybe going back to the far easier tapered smooth design that is on the ends of your og male bowls and incorporate that into the new design. A little light left to right wiggle is all that is needed and the og bowls easily unseat.
After many, many, many sessions I noticed that the ledge inside the new bowls left a ring of noticeably less extraction of the flower that was sitting around its lip on the screen inside the bowl. This does not happen in the og male bowls. However a quick stir will fix this miniscule extraction abnormality but I'm just pointing out the differences here for everyone from my testing and observations.
Be prepared for a bit more scrubbing when you clean these and I do mean a bit when compared to the og bowl design. Just like anything vaporizer related keep up on your cleaning intervals. This gives you better function, taste and cuts down on cleaning times in between.
I personally have tested the heat expansion and think it is moot when it comes to it adding to the sticking problem. I'm not saying that heat doesn't expand metal because it does, it just is not a factor here.
From my observations it seems to be actually from the added weight of the FP heads that rest on the bowls during use. Weight + gravity = a tighter seat in glass joints.
I've noticed that many of you here in the thread mention that the bowl is still hot so you need a handle. I ask you this, honesty how fast are you reloading your bowl after a session and if it's right away how often?
Because by the time I go to load another bowl right away, if I even do so at all that bowl has already been cool for a long time now.
Also right after use the og bowls only take about a minute to cool and handle comfortably in your hands. 60 seconds is not even an issue to have to wait for cooling to reload a bowl in the grand scheme of all things considered here. If someone has issues with waiting this long I suggest some patience training.
I'm not handle hating here. I like both styles, just personally not as much as the og male bowls without the handle.
The og male bowls bottom tapered part also has a larger inside diameter when compared to the new male handle version. So more air flow here while the vapor exits. Yes it's a small difference but it is what it is.
Lastly and my favorite part about the og male bowls when compared to the new ones is the size of the bowl and the simplicity of it. It's just larger and deeper than the new versions. This allows for some real serious amounts of flower to be packed in comparably.
So there you have it both styles are great and well made. I've just personally retired my handle version and continue to use the og male bowls exclusively. I do however on occasion still bust out the handle version if I'm loading multiple bowls so that they're at the ready and on standby. Cheers my FlowerPot FAMILY!
