I am a medical cannabis user and I use several strains each month. I have always kept grinders for each (approximately) type. Sativa, Sativa w/CBD, hybrid for the afternoon and indica (ideally with some indica CBD added) for night/sleep.
I have kept several grinders (Chromium Crusher) in different colors for different strains so I did not waste medicine while switching between strains.
How do you deal with 1 grinder for different strains without wasting medicine?
I keep my flower in glass jars with Boveda packs in them to store my strains separately. I grind what I need as I go, but dump whatever I don't use into a jar of ground material I call my Super Hybrid. I have a CannaVault that I store ground CBD flower.
I don't mind 'blending' strains together to create my own hybrids for use throughout the day. For example, this morning I ground up about .5g of Sour Diesel and put about .1g in a vapcap which I'm 'sipping' on now.
The other .4g got dumped into an opaque glass jar with a 62% Boveda pack in it. There's probably 3-4 grams in that and includes a bit of Sour Diesel, Super Sour Skunk, Mendo Purps, Chronic, Dakini Kush, and Cherry Cookies. There may be some Super Lemon Haze and Amnesia Haze in there too. But ultimately it ends up being a really potent, tasty brew. And I blend in a little or a lot of CBD to my cannabis flower depending on my needs throughout the day as well.
I also like that my kief is a blend of CBD and THC. I find that adding CBD to my THC has really improved the efficacy of my cannabis usage. By a lot. I started mixing CBD flower with my cannabis last November and I have felt better physically and mentally than I have in years. My anxiety and depression have improved dramatically and my tendinitis has also improved dramatically.
So, I don't think I'm wasting any medicine the way I grind and mix my strains. Not at all. I think it makes my meds better.
