Got the email that my order for 2 Sapphire grinders is now complete!

I'm out of town in Colorado for another day or two, so not sure if that means my order has been shipped or my order has been delivered. Having my brother check the mail for me tomorrow.

Hoping I have a gorgeous Sapphire beauty waiting for me at home when I get back!

@tepictoton that euro price you saw was a simple currency conversion plugin. I'm fairly sure you always get charged in Canadian. I have a cc with no foreign transaction fees, maybe you have this also? Also some pages back the currency plugin was causing issues with something else, so maybe they removed the plugin. Maybe it had something to do with multiple orders or custom orders....something like that...I don't recall.

Happy New Year everyone and I'm really glad the orders are starting to flow thru!! I did NOT want to be the only one (aside from the beta testers of course)!! lol

So, I got an email from their website stating that my order was complete last week....but nothing with shipping info or anything since. Is this what you guys have seen?

I have received an eMail by them stating that the order is complete & shipped and a further eMail by the Canadian Post with a tracking link saying that the sending has been electronically created and that they are awaiting the parcel itself.

I was smart enough to choose the super-duper-extra-fast-and-extra-expensive shipping. That was before I realised that it would take weeks anyway... I am such a dipshit from time to time. Maybe only the more expensive shipping methods provide a tracking number? However, mine is obviously still at Grinders for Life. It has not arrived at the Canadian Post office yet, according to the tracking.

I just realized that I paid CAD 110,- for shipping. Holy shit. I must have been incredibly stoned at the time of my order. Which is well possible. I am incredibly stoned most of the time, but I should really be more reasonable in future.

I went to the site, see $100 but not a US or even a CAD, for that matter. I think they were having problems with the currency conversion gizmo widget not long ago. Perhaps this is related? Until I hear something official from @Grinders for Life I’m gonna give them the benefit of doubt, I believe in them.

WAIT! It’s Canadian alright. Looked at my cart’s contents, before proceeding to checkout and the total says $100CAD. So rest easy @bizwaxzion big fella! Nothing amiss, spend those US Dollars with confidence!

To add to that, I just checked my confirmation email, $100 for the grinder, $40 each for plates, and no mention of US vs Cad.

Then again, I think it's fair to say it's an assumption, I've never specified in quotes I've sent TO Canada either!

The site is showing $ in CAD regardless of payment currency. All you have to do is google your money conversion to see the results. Today the US conversion rate is $74.13. @MonkeyTime, check your charge card statement. I think it should show you your purchase in dollars.

@Dynavaper, I would suspect that GFL is monitoring the thread regardless of their lack of posting. I have to assume they are consumed with getting the orders out, & until they do, & feedback starts flowing in, I don't think there is really anything for them to say. I do see when you add a product to cart it does say there is currently a 3 - 4 week backlog.
