Brilliant Cut Grinder

Unfortunately mine won’t stay in place. Always stays attached to the bottom chamber every time I take it off.

Gonna switch to a cheap S&B 2 piece in the meantime. Looks like bits of that dried glue could flake off in to the bud.

Maybe contact BCG customer service if you are worried ;)

Guessing that it will need to be re-secured not just from the bottom, but around the circumference, as well. Otherwise, it'll continue to pull out after use.

Wondering if an epoxy (e.g.; JB Weld) would be effective (and non-toxic, of course). Ensure that it doesn't bleed out of the top edge, when reassembling.

IIRC, the original JB Weld is gas / oil resistant. Which might bode well for isopropyl, as well (if you continue to soak, but I wouldn't, personally--a simple wipe down should be sufficient, IMO.)

Just a quick thought. Do your research before using, of course.

I had another "does your SS BCG do this too?" question for anyone please: does your grind plate wobble a bit/have some back and forth give with the bottom storage? The video (especially with sound) below shows what I'm referring to. I don't recall this happening with my regular BCG, and I notice it while grinding (as the grind plate moves with the top). I end up having to hold the grind plate while turning the top plate.

there's a reason it does not bind up when packed with sticky buds

Gotcha. So you're saying if it was a tight fit, it could risk getting stuck/seized up at the connection point, right? Makes sense if so. And in turn, this is how all BCGs are here then, correct (i.e. this is by design)? I ask as I don't recall my previous (standard, aluminum) BCG having this "give" but I may just be misremembering.

My large Al. BCG has no play like that in the lower portion. There is some side-play in the top of the grinder section.

Thanks. That’s what I recalled re: the aluminum one I had previously too (never noticed the annoying back and forth while grinding). I ended up emailing GFL.

Update: I cleaned the grinder today and, de-gunked, there is just a wee bit of "backlash", sort of a rotational play.
