Boundless Tera

I am a new Tera user as well and don’t have any electronics smell or taste. I did three burn offs and cleaned all mouthpieces in iso. I find that the unit does not evenly cook material and requires stirring mid session. Also the screen inhibits vapor production in my experience. Feel it is a much better product without it.

Hi. I am hoping the taste gets better. By the screen do you mean the oven screen? I think it's there to protect the oven from small bits. Stirring would likely be necessary with larger bowls. I have not tried that yet.

Yeah the oven screen. It does protect it that way but I’m just noticing more performance from the unit without the screen in place. I will say I do not like to use the Tera natively with either mouthpiece. I’m strictly using it with the wpa at max temp (428f).

I agree. The plastic mouthpiece sucks (pardon the pun) and the glass one is too short. People are substituting Arizer solo stems by using the silicone/rubber filter from the stock glass Tera piece.
However I find the taste and smell is coming from the body.

post# 2243 on page 90 to(help) get rid of plastic smell.

The robo fart (not the plastic smell) will be present for a while but when loaded I dont get any hint of the robo fart.

Off gassing the plastic- I think this is necessary if you have a smelly Tera. I think I went almost 2 weeks before I had enough and had to disassemble and inspect(for burning). Turns out it was just smelly rubber coated plastic(whatever it is). I think taking off the bottom cap and airing it out in the sun should be good enough.

Other update: I had to dremel my bowl/oven. I was/am using with S&B dosing capsules with the WP attachment... After some uses the capsules would get stuck/not come out without a pick and some force/distortion.

There is a lip that forms/mushrooms where metal oven meets the plastic. Could be the dosing capsule upside down(WP use) kind of melting the plastic while the WP attachment is pushing "upward"(it's upside down during WP use) with all the weight of the device on top. Hope that makes sense.

I have now had a Tera for about 4 days. My observations are that it can handle small quantities of material really well. It can even vape on low temps. However my biggest complaint is the the terrible bitter electronic taste. It got better but even with the glass mouthpiece I can taste it. Sadly if it does not go away I will have to get rid of it and switch to something with more pure vapour path like a Davinci or something. Does this bad taste ever go away? BTW I did about 10 burnoffs and cleaned the unit and mouthpieces several times.
Davinci accent was one of the worst Vapes I've had.

I am considering a MIqro not accent.
Try leaving the silicon parts out in the sun for a day or 2 to finish curing it, that helped with my initial robot fart problems.:myday:
If you still have bad flavour problems, reach out to Eric at Boundless Tech, your unit may be just a lemon as both of my Teras now taste great, I have to use a plug-in to get a better taste:tup:

Hi Les:

Thanks for that. I found the m mouthpieces are getting better but the body still has a faint electronic taste. I am hoping in a few weeks that it'll pass. I have noticed that it is a good microdoser. Just have to stir herb and draw for a longer time. I much prefer the glass just wish it was about twice the length. I am going to try an arizer stem

I plan on buying a Boundless Tera v3 later this week. I currently have a Xmax V2 Pro and have a question. If I remove the glass mouthpiece (the glass part) and try to put the glass part in the silicone rubber part of the glass mouthpiece of the Tera (or the plastic mouthpiece?), will it fit? Has any Xmax V2 Pro owners tried this?

Been reading thru the Tera manual while I await my Tera v3. Quick question - do the temperature control buttons really only change temp one degree at a time? Sounds like a lot of clicking to me. I expected something like 4-5 temperature levels...

Been looking at them just don't really wanna wait 6 weeks and I have a rbt splinter that I like less and less every day haha

Also can I put a .3 in the tera I want a vape I can pack one and feel the effects I have to pack two items with the solo to feel anything
How hard does your Tera hit compared to the Splinter? I already plan on picking up the Tera. Considering picking up the Splinter v2 as well as it is on sale.

I'm assuming you can hold down the button and it will quickly increase to your desired temperature instead of pressing it over and over.

Just ordered a Tera! Can't wait until it gets here. I currently don't have a bong but might pick one up in the future. For owners who have used the WPA or third party WPA, has it damaged the plastic above the chamber?

Some users have reported cracks in the plastic above the chamber, and some reddit users suspect that it may be the putting in and removing the WPA.

Has anyone who have used the WPA extensively had the opposite experience? No cracks/holes/damage after extensive WPA use?

I use the WPA most of the time. I hook it up to j-hooks, small water tools, and bongs. I have not managed to crack the plastic chamber yet but like you i have read a couple of times that others have.

Very good to hear! I'll just have to be careful when I attach and remove the WPA when I get a bong. At what temperatures do you usually use WPA? Thanks for your response by the way.

With the Tera I typically vape from 370-390. I have had it at 500 for concentrate.
I can still handle it after vaping but it is hot.

Just received my Tera! It's charging right now (don't know for how long). I plan on running 3 burnoffs after its fully charged.

Can the rubber gasket that holds the screen under the plastic mouthpiece be swabbed with ISO?
If so, can I submerge the entire plastic mouthpiece (including the rubber or silicone) in ISO?
Should I do burnoffs with the mouthpiece on or off?

Are cigarette puffs required and if so, do I need to do them before each hit or only at the start of a session?

If not, can I just draw for 10-15+ seconds and get vapor or is there a special draw technique (I usually draw long and slow)?

I'm not sure how to hit this thing since it's full convection.

Update: Tried it at 392 and didn't really feel it that much. I took six 10 second hits. Should I try larger hits, like 20 seconds or even 25 seconds?

Just received my new Tera and have a dumb question - how do I turn it off? Can't find that in any of the docs I have...

Thanks...
