I bought my Tera, supposedly v3, about 2-3 months ago and only just bothered to check for a serial number. Turns out there's no number on the bottom of mine, is this definite proof that's it's not a version 3? I bought brand new, from namaste and naively just trusted I'd get what I ordered. Now I'm worried I've been vaping out of something potentially harmful.
@Justastoner350 I'm not 100% sure but there are/were a few other ways to discern this. They started putting screens in the oven with the V3. Can you remember if there was a screen in there when you opened the box? There are other mentions a few pages back bit it's a while since I read these so I can't be 100% sure. The serial numbers are very very faint. Double check this - not trying to insult bit my eyes arent bad and I struggled to see the serial in low light.
Failing that an email to namaste or contact Eric/boundless through here or direct email. He'll definitely give you all the info that you need.
I don't think these were ultimately 'unsafe' there were stress tests done, using the concentrate mode and from the stress tests the Teflon started to degrade. Based on this and a lot of opinions in the community boundless decided to recall. So from what I see the Tera v3 may be acceptable if you are only using this in flower mode. Everyone is different - I didn't like the idea of Teflon. The V3 is more to my liking (stainless steel - some people want even use that and prefer glass/ceramic)
Either way and for piece of mind I would message namaste and progress from there.
Oh also try the oled screen flip? 3 clicks on the 'up' temperature button. It reverses the orientation of the numbers on the screen. I believe this is a v3 feature.
Good luck
Also, taking things for granted. I've just tried to look at my serial number and can only just make out the last two letters. They are very feint even in bright daylight.
