Pen Boundless Technology TERP Pen

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
Just got my terp pen this evening (thanks Puff it Up). Did an iso cleaning and a burn off.

I also primed the coil a bit with some cheap CBD rosin before loading a tiny piece of good rosin. Got a real nice hit, so I've been loading and hitting it this evening to report back later. I get a little coil burn flavor, but hoping that will fade after breaking it in more.

It is a clever little device and has strong possibilities.

It is in my opinion really easy to load (funny that other vape pen producers did not do it before)...

No shit. Everybody else has these deep cups with the coil or donut way at the bottom. It's a pain in the fucking ass to get your shit down there without making a mess. While almost every other device has an inny, someone finally had the smarts to make an outty. So much easier to wipe your rosin off a dab tool. Amen

I also got my terp pen tonight. I did a quick test after cleaning and priming. There’s still some coil taste and harshness but much better than the old coil pens I used to use. I love that it fits a 14mm WPA. Running it through my bubbler revealed more of the flavor of the wax, less of the coil.

I like how easy it is to assemble, disassemble, etc. I love the magnetic cap that you can vape with. For $30 this feels nicer than some of the $80+ vapes I’ve used. This plus a Puffco Prism is going to be my daily out of the house driver for the foreseeable future. That to me feels like a good solution to quitting carts. About as discreet as a cart, with just slightly less convenience.

I got some new cookies and cream rosin from the dispensary today, and I had baked it in my v4 Crucible. I was loving the high so much that as it started to wane I grabbed the terp pen and dropped a small dab of the rosin onto the coils. Just hit it dry, no water. The coil taste has already greatly lessened, but also the flavor of the rosin was far more muted than in the Crucible (which isn’t fair as the latter is quartz, so of course it will taste better). I’m hoping the taste improves further but if it doesn’t that’s okay, as the pen is so convenient for quick hits that it makes up for the muted flavor. Plus it’s under $30, which again is just ridiculous. I probably spent double that back in the day for a Dr. Dabber pen that tasted like garbage and was incredibly harsh I’m on the throat.

One hack that I read at vaporizerwizard @BuzzDanklin was to close some holes of the cap so it lowers the draw resistance... great clouds without afford with small amounts... is the result... I like and even a monkey can take a nice hit without instruction with this hack...

closed now two holes with toothstick but have to find something better to close.. which is at least as safe as wood toothsticks...

@LesPlenty also bought first terp pen in silver ... yesterday I ordered my black haha... I like the terp pen... would like to see different coil options... but as I read @Boundless Vape Technology stated the ceramic ones worked best...

It sure does, I thought it was a reclaim taste or something (my first foray into coils) but it soon fades, the flavor is good, not great, but I still want another one, black next time.

At this price point, and with this level of convenience, good not great flavor is all I would expect or need. It’s so delightfully easy to use.

You guys might enjoy the CF710 with the quartz coil better. I thought the ceramic was disgusting.

Will this one ever have a quartz coil in the future?

I heard that is more of a dozer and it has buttons!
The testers had quartz coils to try (not me) and said they had better flavor but whispy clouds compared, marketing to smokers maybe? I like how it feels like a thin cigar to hold and simply puff on when desired, no buttons or temps, nice and simple.
This is also much cheaper than the CF710.:myday:
I might ask Boundless if they will offer a quartz coil as more people asking about it might help make it happen.

I have a v4 Crucible for flavor. This is mainly for quick dabs and out of the house use. For that purpose, the larger size of the CF is a drawback.

This is a fair summation for me too. The coil taste has definately decreased for me and I believe it will continue with more seasoning.

I only load a tiny piece at a time and initially found that you would only get one good hit and then you'd get some wispy vapor rising from the coil, but no vapor on an inhale until you reloaded. With more seasoning I'm getting 2-3 hits from a fresh load. Again I'm not loading it heavy.

The other factor is I'm not trying to take a long hit anymore. I feel a long hit gets that coil real hot and adds to poor or coily flavor. When I started taking short 3 sec hits the flavor improved yet you could still get a nice cloud.

I'm enjoying this little guy so far. This is more my style compared to a bucket. I wasn't getting great results with the Sai or DV V4 because they just weren't jiving with my 1/4 to 1/2 grain of rice dabs. It would have been so much cheaper if I had this unit first.

I’m also finding shorter draws and smaller loads work very well with the terp pen. This morning I was feeling a bit off so I loaded a small dab of full spectrum CBD and only hit it for about three seconds, I got a nice cloud and ended up feeling right as rain afterward.

Got my first truly flavorful hit from the terp pen. I loaded an actual grain of rice sized dab of CBD live resin and ran the pen through my bubbler. With that setup, I got one extremely flavorful hit with a small/medium cloud. No coil taste at all. I did a second hit, got a huge cloud with coil taste. Lesson learned, this is a one load, one hit device. I love that it slots right into a 14mm water piece.

How often should I be doing burn offs?

I’m loving the incredible convenience and ease of use of the terp pen. It’s so simple to grab, load, inhale.

I received the Puffco Prism today. This will be a perfect case to load up and take on the go. Combined with the terp pen, it’s about as convenient as a cart but a whole lot more enjoyable and powerful.

this thing is so convinient that I want to use it all the time... hope it will not increase my tolerance... would like to vape with it like smoking a joint... but then it is hitting me like a train....

so I am interessted in how often you use your terp pen per day? How much rosin do you use per day?

I am thinking of mixing my rosin with a cbd concentrate so it is not that strong and I can use it more often hahaha

I have been using my pen to dab of my Happy Daddy Globfather (long Ti dab tool) and it reminds me of lighting a joint off a hot stick out of the fire when camping, very nice experience.;)
I only go through 2 grams of rosin a week, mostly on an enail but I use the pen for 6 or so puffs a day, at least, it really does rock me when puffing as described above, very joint like, a very potent joint at that (also tastes better than any joint I ever had).:myday:

Keep coming back to this thing. It's so easy to use and it's a concentrate miser. Just the tiniest bit of rosin gives you a huge cloud with decent flavor. Draw too long and the taste gets coily, but time it right and you're all set.

I also like the joint style sesh. Puffin while lyin on the couch. Seems a hell of a buy for 25 bucks.

I’m finding I cannot resist ending each session lately with a quick single dab off the terp pen. I have some 1:1 CBD:THC honey. I find that the effects of a bowl of flower become more potent and long lasting when I finish with a dab of this 1:1.

The Terp Pen makes this ridiculously easy. I just grab the container when I’m putting away my flavor vape stuff and drop the Pen into it, and give it a good inhale. Then I pop the cap back on the Pen, close the container, and I’m done.
