Just a note to definitely not use q-tips of any kind. They contain adhesive that could be very unhealthy to vape. It's basically the equivalent of sniffing glue except the glue is very hot. I actually get organic cotton q-tips but wouldn't vape with them for this reason.
I've vaped the same exact concentrate back to back with cotton and stainless mesh in another vape, and noticed no taste difference at sub combustion temperature. I actually prefer to vape with cotton as it's much easier and cleaner. The benefit to steel is you can go higher in temp while maintaining flavor, which gives bigger, more dab-like hits. The hits from cotton are plenty big for me though.
The truth is nobody knows for sure if cotton is bad to vape, but I'm comfortable taking that risk. You can also purchase degummed hemp fiber and use it the same way. That seems like it would be pretty much risk free. I've been meaning to try it myself but haven't got around to it.

Q-Tips definitely have glue, other brands may or may not. Still not a risk I want to take.

Now to get this back on topic. I got my WPA yesterday. Being more of a dry guy I tried using it as a mouthpiece first. It does provide better airflow than the stock mouthpiece, as I had hoped. It also feels nicer and I kind of like the way it looks, almost like a box mod. However, there was one thing I didn't think about, it does get hot. Not too bad for one session at 385F, but pretty warm nonetheless. I probably won't be using it much that way, but it was fun to try!
Next I used it properly, with my D0202-D. It fit well, I could even let my CFX sit there hands-free. The CFX had no problem clouding up my bubbler. I used .1 grams at 420F and got about 5 or 6 really dense clouds and a few more that weren't quite so dense.
I hate to say that but my cf has combusted today after one month use.
On 4rth temperature when i changed to 5th.
Probably a defective device. I am afraid to use it again.
I sent an emal to the my ventor(which is reliable) for a replacement.
Really shocked from that, I started to like the device

I tried again and now I have plastic fumes from inside the unit.
Something is melting inside and it is burning the herb!
The thing is worst than I thought
I very unlucky

Probably a defective device. I am afraid to use it again.

@EmbraceTheFall if you got the CF hybrid and you want to use concentrate how about buying a tank that goes on the box mod side like many people use thier box mods for. I had seen many recommendation for the yocan nyx tank and its pretty cheap. I think this will give you prolly a more dab like experience. I dont ejuice vape but i was considering the CF hybrid for this reason as i love my CF. Wax pens from what i have seen pretty much suck, but the box mods where you can change the tank seem like a much better solution for when coils go out.

So...I got my CF yesterday. I'm pretty much a vaping newbie (not including my one week of having a Pax 2 knockoff that sucked).
First of all, I love this thing. It hits great. The fake Pax ("Fax", as I started calling it) never quite did it for me like combustion did. I got this to give vaping one more shot and it gets me to where I want to be. The only thing is....it makes me cough. Is that just normal vaping experience? I might also be getting sick so that could be contributing.

hey guys so just recieved my cfx last week from puffitup. the first few days i was in cloud city this thing produced and produced a lot. Was lovin it and used concentrate container everything was good. now about a week and a bit after i first got it and its as if its not heating up properly or only part of the chamber is heating. Im getting nothing but wispy clouds with a pretty spent bowl. I feel the hot air etc. just not sure why no vapor. Using the same herb from when I got the vape and even went and tested in my solo and was clouding up no problem on what I thought were similar temps. I have been using from the get go a arizer eq hat screen and removed the mouthpiece screen. I have used with the mouthpiece screen and didnt notice a difference. I also tried removing the bowl screen and replacing with regular pipe screen but that seemed to make it worse. I have been tamping slighlty and basically tried everything now from hard pack to no pack.

That is very fucking concerning! Keep us updated!
I would stay in temp 2-3 on the CF. Those are a little more bearable when it comes to coughing, however it will stay make you cough, but not as much as the higher temps.

Sounds like you should clean it and return it to me. Both randy and Boundless have great CS so you should get a new one almost instantly
