Boundless CF / CFX / CF-Hybrid

I've now had a few sessions and I'm glad to say I'm enjoying this vape. Long slow draws brings lots of tasty flavor, it coats my throat and mouth with my greens tasty resin that's there for a fair while after I have finished vaping. I have been loading .2/.3 giving it a medium weighted pack/tap down with the dabbing tool. I try to pace the draw with slow, long, constant, and deep inhalations. It's powerful and gets the job done in the six minutes or less it gives you on the timer, that's if you've got the lungs for it. I like how you can hold the power button for 3 seconds and turn the heater off between hits if you like, and on again with another hold of the button, also resetting the timer.

I'm kind of getting familiar with air flow restriction and the slow much longer draws required to get the flavor out and get a satisfying experience. There is the usual flavor drop off but it keeps extracting the vapor til its spent. For me 370 is great for taste but if you jump right in at 380/385 the Flavor is tasty and vapor production really good. Its still fairly smooth and satisfying around this temp. At about 395 it becomes an irritant for my throat, at least on my current batch of greens. The unit is very efficient at getting everything out, everything evenly baked every time, only the longer higher temp 400 sessions could i see the outer layer a little darker than the rest. While its on you need to be using it, its vaping your expensive weed all of the time. If you want 30 seconds, a minute or two between draws its a good idea to turn it into standby by holding the power button for 3 seconds. It heats up so fast again so it's not a problem.

The temperature resolution and regulation is very good in fact its excellent from my experience so far, even if the electronics are a little noisy in the process. The heater performance is great and the battery has done about 11 sessions before i decided to re-charge it anyway. Charging current through 5V USB spikes up and down, up to 2.5A the max output of my desktop 5V regulator.

The screen is a screw together stainless design that at first looks like its going to be a resin clogging restriction, but because it practically sits in the oven it gets cooked also. So the resin appears to be getting vaporized by the heat put into it via the ceramic oven, freeing up any resin clog. Wiping the top screen can push the resin into the holes not giving you any faith that air path wont be restricted, but to me it appears to loosen back up once in use.
Ive tonight dropped the mouth piece for first ISO bath, i separated all the pieces and threw them in a fresh jar of ISO all appears well, even the logo holds good, at least it has for 20 minutes of ISO 98%.

So far so good.

I used the CFX again last night to vape a really dinky load and it performed very well...just kept pushing out the vapor. When done it was a medium tan. With a loose pack, I'm starting to think this thing runs on a lot of radiant heat.
Are you getting similar results with the CF?

I just got the CF & have the CFX also . They both share the same heater , hit the same and have the same size oven and mouth piece style. The CF runs off 1 18650 battery while the CFX has 2 . The CFX also has a lcd screen and the CF doesnt. They both heat up lightning fast in about 10-15 seconds and so far i am finding the CF to have a bit better battery life than my CFX. I love the size of the CF also , it fits really well in the pocket and hand. CF runs off preset temps while the CFX can be adjusted to any degree. Cf so far is proving to be a awesome little vape .

I'm confused about something... Are you saying the 1 battery on the CF has better battery life than the 2 batteries on the CFX? Is it because of the LCD screen?

Also, how would you guys compare this to other conduction vaporizers? From the limited reviews I have read so far, everyone was hating on this device due to it not being convection. But once they use it for what it is, people seem to be loving the performance and we even have one user stating they would rather have this than the Mighty due to the price difference.

So far in my limited testing i have been getting a bit better battery life on my CF compared to the CFX , i will still have to do a few more battery cycles to confirm this 100% but it could be due to the lcd screen and also the vibration feedback the CFX has that the Cf does not. As for comparing it , well it is not like the mighty at all , i feel they both vape very differently. The mighty has much less of a draw restriction also. The CF & Cfx so far are proving to be very nice conduction vapes , they work well and are easy to use out of the box. A few people were only hating on the fact that the company had made a mistake and was told by there engineer it was a convection vape , they have since made it apparent that it is in fact conduction with a small amount of convection. The company i feel has been very good so far with any questions or concerns i have thrown at them. The performance is good , it heats up in 10-15 seconds tops and you are ready to vape , its simple to use and so far has been easy to clean. I would say the screen so far is its only downfall as it gets clogged easy but is very easy to clean and is a minor gripe. I like it allot so far , it does not really compare to my current vapes , maybe the pax 2 a bit , they both produce good vapor and are heated in kind of a oven in the same method almost but the CFX and CF have been easier to use so far. Any other questions please ask away , i'll try my best.

When will the site be back up?
I am not really sure bc they had said this on the thread a few days ago - " Our new site will be live (hopefully) in 2 days. It will feature a much easier interface for the consumer, as well as, detailed specs on each individual product for potential customers. We will continue to check the FC boards for any questions etc.. But please feel free to always contact us directly. info@bndlsvapes.com, eric@boundlessvapes.com. "

How's the smell of the device after multiple uses? Asked during there live stream but think they thought I meant the smell of the whole vaping process. Basically thinking about the hybrid. Like if I use it then bring it to work for smoke breaks, e cig part, are all my coworkers going to be asking me why I smell like some funk?

It does not have much smell when there is no material in there after use , as long as you keep the screen clean it should be fine. I actually have mine with me at work today with some abv left over from last nights session and i don't really smell it. I keep it in a old beanie winter hat in a bag lol . After a session while its still somewhat warm there will be a smell but its not to bad , my pax2 smells allot more than it when not in use and i usually travel with the pax2 allot. I think this may take over now.

I got mine yesterday and so far I am digging this vape. 350F and a 3/4 packed bowl and 5 mins later I'm medicated. Love the taste, the feel of the vape. low maintenance, decent price, decent battery (so far), doesn't run hot and easy to use. I have used it 5 times and no smell or odor. I clean my vape out after each use. I see myself running a rotation between 4 vapes (VaporCup, Guru, this one and CloudV Diamond) for my everyday use now.

If you keep the bowl clean by giving it a quick brush after each use, the only thing that will eventually smell is the mouthpiece. If you open it up and clean it regularly, you should have a pretty smell free vape.

I used the CF the other night with a dinky load as asked and it worked really well. Lots of hits, with effects, and the abv was a medium tan afterward. I continue to like this vape each time I use it. I'm not a conduction fan by any means, but this one heats up so quickly and works well enough with small loads that I enjoy it.

So you can put in a small load (you don't have to fill the oven), and don't need to put any type of spacer on top? And it cooks evenly and doesn't need stirring?

And how is the flavor? How's it compare to the pax2?

Thx!

I don't have a pax2, so I can't compare flavor. But it tastes good on lower temps and worse on higher temps, just like my other conduction vapes.

How is the vapor production this compared to the crafty. I'm looking into the cf. Also the site is down and would like to know the price of the cf compared to the cfx

Awwww, these sound comparable and in some ways better than the P2 I just paid more money for!

I wanted the P2 to tie me over until my Mighty shows up.....which is replacing my Crafty and something to play with until my GH's show up (someday). These may need to find a way into this somewhere.

The VAS runs strong in this one.....

Thanks #stickstones, I must have missed the dimensions and their website is still down.

Knowing their sizes, if they don't hit as smooth as the S/B's, I'll pay the extra and deal with the quirks.

They are two totally different vapes , the only thing similar is the look of them. They do not hit the same and have different heating methods i believe but using both back to back they do not feel the same or pull the same .

Edit : @pakalolo can you please move this to released section now that it is out in the wild - ty
