Defo a notable product. What stands out at the moment is the heat up time a the vapour path's design and materials.

I want to get a second portable to compliment my Crafty, GH is top of my list, but this is on my radar now, I'd like to see it in the hands of some trusted Youtube reviewers first though.

Hey Eric,
How does the cfx work with smaller loads? And would you say you get the same amount of hits from packing say .5 vs packing two bowls of .25? Lastly how warm does the units body get while vaping, and are there any parts that special precaution should be taking while its warm? I know with the mighty, though I don't wait and never had an issue, people were waiting for it to cool a bit before removing and putting the CU back on, so any precautions need to take that are like that? Very interested and probably will order once two or three reviews come out if they're positive.

Any way to get this hooked up to water or will adapters be available in the future?
As of right now there is no way to hook the CFX up to water. One of the coolest pieces I had the pleasure of hitting was De Verdamper, what a crazy piece of equipment. We are currently researching ways to improve on our systems and will keep in mind vape/water filtration hybrids.

In my opinion for a personal sesh, 0.2g(which isn't even half the bowl) at 380F is the best way to use the unit. The airflow is phenomenal and produces just as great of vape than a 0.5g bowl. Even for a group sesh 0.2g can last two(300 second) sessions based on an average vape hit.

Have you ever been able to overpower the heater, and what's the average temp drop when inhaling? I personally have shitty lungs, but can still pull the mighty down from 400 to 395ish (newer model, was reading on some older models people were able to drop it like 15 degrees). I hear the herbalizer hold temp dam well though. Basically , this is more a question aimed for my friends who are heavy hitter. They're smokers but they all love hitting the mighty, their biggest turn off though being the price tag, so hoping this could be more a way to get them into vaping, as of now, they literally stink to hang out with:rant:

Also read the user manual and saw a 6 min shutoff timer , which is definitely a nice upgrade from the two minute timer:tup:

Same here, i'm pretty excited about this, especially after my poor experience with the Grasshopper. I love when manufacturers come and support their products here! Thanks for answering all the questions, and I can't wait to hear about what you think Smokey!!!

My only concern is the lack of cooling unit....as that as been a game changer for me personally with the Mighty/Crafty.

I'm wondering if there is an advantage of charging for the 2 hours via usb over using the 30 min DC option?

How does the unit perform with sub .1 material?

I'm actually MUCH more impressed by the video than I thought I would be based on the comments. This seems to at the least do what the Mighty and the Crafty do, and possibly much more. I understand the concern about the ceramic walls, but the heat up seemed fast enough to not mark it as a Pax type cooker. To be honest, though, this just made me dream about a portable herbalizer. The Halogen bulb is not that fragile, and the heatup time on it means that as a heating element it could do some real work with an oven like this...

Portable Halogen convection you say? Check out the Venus Apollo my man

Thanks for the interest guys and special thanks for u/smokey_da_vape for purchasing one!

Welcome! Great to have you here!

Hey YungLeaner,
The ceramic bowl does retain heat but not enough to ruin the bowl. The herb will not be ruined after one session of sitting and does mostly get cooked when you inhale. At 380F, after one minute of sitting there does appear to be a heating of the herb and after about a full session(300 seconds) there appears to be a bit of a cook on the bottom layer. We let a packed bowl sit at 380F for one session and was still able to produce a full session of vape.

That is also great to hear, looking forward to the first user reviews!

Care to elaborate on the differences between the CFX and the CF? Should this thread have CF in the title too, or have a separate thread here?

I'm almost certain that my Medium Nearly Universal Waterpipe adapter (NuSonG) would work perfectly - http://delta3dstudios.com/nearly-universal-vape-to-waterpipe-adapter-medium/

If anyone would like to test and confirm - please PM me

hmm, the mouthpiece seems to be much wider looking than all of the ones on the vaporizers listed, but I could be wrong :\ Unless of course there's no issues in stretching the silicon a bit; given the feeling of the material on my mighty cu adapter i'd guess it's possible

apparantly it seems like the person who came up with this vape also created the wulf vapes aswell! Has anyone tried those out?
