Boundless CF / CFX / CF-Hybrid

This video shows the updates (from July) to the updated CF model to give it stealth mode and battery power display.

I find the CFX stealthy enough to use in say a dank alley. I was using it last night before Kung Fu Fridays at my local cinema and when you hold it normally the palm of your hand covers the screen. It's only really visible as you pass it around. Not a huge deal for me.

I don't know how many people on here have tried the ELB baskets yet, but these things rock. Delta 3D Studios has a loading tool for filling the baskets that makes the process so quick and easy. You can fit three loaded baskets, (if the top one is turned upside down), in a Doob-tube. You don't really have to fill them all the way, hince micro-doses.
Now don't sic the crazy-man on me. He scared me, and I'm not afraid of anything.
I am going out on a limb here, but I think this is more convection than conduction, especially with the ELB Baskets. The baskets make this vape more convection than if you just load the bowl. Try it you'll like it.

Back on topic I agree about the elb baskets adding more convection to the mix. They also help keep the chamber cleaner.

ELB's are the only way I use mine. Makes it much easier to load, swap easy, keeps chamber clean, adds more convection and I like to do partial sessions and I can remove the load and pop back in for refry.

I've been using the ELB top cap mod, but I just tried sticking a whole ELB in the chamber and it didn't fit (too tall).

try another one 1 out of the 4 i bought was a bit big i squished it to fit and still works though, but the other 3 fit np.

You have to hold your mouth right to fit them in there. Ratchett printed a loading tool for these baskets. You just pop them in the holder, screw on the funnel, and fill. It takes ten seconds. Go look around his site. There is stuff on there that you can't live without.
The bowl of my CFX is as clean as the day I got it, and I've used it alot. Doc

Only one out of the four I bought fit perfectly. The others work fine. You just have to put the mouthpiece on, it will compress and twist them a little bit. It's a little scary at first but you won't break anything. I suppose if you're really worried you could try to compress them yourself.

I've been using the ELB top cap mod, but I just tried sticking a whole ELB in the chamber and it didn't fit (too tall).

I found the first time I used the ELBs I needed to squish them down a bit (by pushing down on the mouthpiece that had the ELB already attached). After that first time squish, they all fit properly now. It needed about a 1mm squash down to fit perfectly. For filling it, i'm just using a soda straw cut into a shovel kind of shape. Lets me move weed into the ELB easily enough. I use mine all the time, especially because I cant finish a bowl in one session, so its super easy to just pop out the mouthpiece with ELB attached when i'm done and let it rapidly cool down in the air, instead of continuing to cook inside the oven.

The Hybrid is an excellent little device. Its closer to a CF than a CFX but it has full temp control and a much better airflow than both the CF/CFX.

The Hybrid is often discussed in terms of nicotine use. Would it be possible to use a device dedicated to oil with it? Like a Divine Tribes atomizer or something by W9?

I'm a little clueless on the e-cig/510 mod/oil pen scene so excuse any ignorance. The more I try to read and learn the more confused I get.

If the Hybrid could be used easily this way it seems like a great dual use device.

With the 510 adapter you can get a nice wax tank to go on it and have dual use, Flower one side and wax on the other.
Having no access to those things in my country means I can't add anymore than that but it has been mentioned by the Boundless guys in the chats before.

Some custom 510 attys for dry herbs work relatively well even in power mode (I assume the CFX has no TC mode?)

I don't even use the 510 side, and really like the CF Hybrid regardless. It's relatively small, full temp control, great airflow, and swappable 18650 make it a unit with lots of desirable traits.

On the downside, the bowl is kinda small, but good for 1-2 people.

Your correct, no WPA for the Hybrid, also the elb mod won't fit. You can get small flowermate herb cans for it though.

F*** it's a major cons for me... I'm gonna make some research for the Flowermates hybrid X...
or wait for the CFV to have a swappable battery...

I dont find the CFX to be unbalanced in use personally. Maybe I'm just not expecting a balance.

I did just unpack the CFV though and wow is it tiny in comparison. CFX is definitely the big daddy of the Boundless family.

I wonder what the plan moving forward is for the cfx and cf models now that the cfv is out...phase them out, price drop.etc...haven't heard watched any of the livestreams from the guys at boundless so if this has already been covered I apologize in advance..
