Didn't go well unfortunately. We agreed on a price and he said something about his PayPal not working right and wanting to use a service with no insurance for the buyer. Even though his ad listed PPG&S as what he wanted. Ended up backing out.
I know some of the mods over there, and they would probably want to know that is happening. They should probably take down the post anyway because there are no prices.

It's weird. I think his responses are shadowbanned but he was obviously able to post. Because if you click on his profile you can see the prices but I originally messaged him for them because I couldn't see them.

Sadly that is how frientexchange works. Comments are hidden in the posts, but you can see them on the commenter's profile.

That’s strange he wouldn’t do ppg&s. For whatever it’s worth that poster has been active on Vaporents and seems like a cool guy. I guess that doesn’t necessarily correlate with ethical though. You should send the mods that conversation as @Grass Yes suggested. It would be cool if some of these new little marketplaces developed the reputation that the old exchange did. I suspect that if Reddit admins notice any new exchange subs they will nuke them, though 😬

To be clear, was he maybe just suggesting friends and family to save the fees? If you really want that milaana you could offer to cover the PayPal fees using g&s. That’s pretty typical in my experience unless the seller says the price includes all of that.

I have to shake my head,

Used to be the difficult part was locating & purchasing any herb,
especially top quality, something like thai-stick, sinsemilla,
that only came along once, and if you were very lucky, you saw it again

I never would have imagined, in my wildest dreams, that I could shop,
without leaving my home or speaking with anyone,
via computer, no less
& have top quality herb delivered to my door,
usually within the hour!

Now the difficult part is locating & purchasing, what is basically,
a pipe & lighter combined!

No he wanted google pay or something entirely different.

I think we will see that sometime soon. Finland is part of the European Union and we passed a bill last year that allows only USB-C to be used in all devices.

That is shockingly bizarre lol nice

Firefly2+ has some great flavor with whole nugs or chunky grind on the low end, but that is all it's good for, pretty frustrating to use otherwise
i sold my firefly a couple years ago, it really had issues & was not a lot of fun to use, i don't regret selling it. but the flavour was superb. i may be glorifying this in retrospect - it was the 2nd vape i owned & the sole comparison i had at the time was my mighty. and there are a number of variables involved when it comes to taste, but it feels as if no other portable i tried tasted quite as clean & defined.

i find it a bit sobering that you consider the tinymight your best tasting portable as you clearly know your stuff when it comes to vapes. comparing it to my wistful memories of the firefly, the tm tastes good. but not in the same league as the firefly?
but this is a tricky statement, as i sold my tm as well. comparing faulty memories to faulty memories. i was able to compare my tm side by side with my log, and taste is clearly superior in my log imo. but the log is not a portable so apples oranges. i would like a portable log :)

only i reason i am bringing this up is because i stumbled across the airvape legacy pro thread, and its design reminds me of the firefly. id be really interested in a vape like the firefly minus the quirks. early times for it. but from what i can gather from the thread thus far, taste is good, but maybe not spectacular. i would prefer spectacular. have you tried the firefly @Okla68 & could compare?

I think Alan at iHeat has a log that can be used like a portable, not sure exactly how long the power lasts, I was looking at the AirVape avb and bowl photos, it appears to be more cleaning than I'm used to with my TM. I need to be super discreet, no smells, nothing, I even exhale out the window or sit on my balcony.

oh. that sounds interesting. i am on his waiting list anyway, so thats great news! have to browse the thread re this.
and i dont really need a new vape in my life. i have & love a fw7, and airvape could be redundant there anyway. just feeling nostalgic for firefly taste, but everything has its time.

Taste is a complicated thing @im not a robot even a log has its limits in my experience... Some of the best flavor comes from pure analog vapes that require a lot of manual control to avoid combustion unfortunately... Anyway a trick to the TM flavor purity is using all glass pathway with basket screen in a simple WPA and a triple right angle hook, and milking the lowest possible settings on the dial moving it up tiny bit by tiny bit for each hit... Alternatively starting higher on the dial, for fewer hits, through a larger dry glass piece can also be quite rewarding with the right strains etc.

Flavor chasers dreams can be found with RBT vapes and Cloud Connoisseur vapes as well in my experience, hell even Collyland extracts in a special way to give you a smack of flavors sometimes too (Bowle potentially especially for some) so it really is all relative... I know what you're saying about the firefly however, and again it's not a perfect rule there, even with low temp it still overcooks spots so easily and stirring is just an ordeal really (I don't know that I would look to the legacy pro for a flavor chaser goal in particular though I am curious as well I admit) that especially with the fact that you're using a coarse grind, even a whole nug, can help milk flavor, with that pure convection on demand with the right button and breathing technique, a short open class path (ruined with the mouthpiece unfortunately lol) that is just a fun experience, why I bought the FF2+ after having moved on from the OG firefly long ago! But it's mostly sitting in a drawer, until I get some fresh tasty strains for the occasional hits that need to be completed in another vape (usually TM!)

Another that always surprises me is the butane torch style, Piro is my favorite direct convection one now popping it on water with one hitter bowls (also how I use the TP80 though that's not a flavor chaser for me it can blast out some lovely terps sometimes too!) but I bet all the rogue wax works ones are good buys for flavor if you don't mind the manual technique thing...? People talk about Vapman flavor, I have one with the station, I don't feel like it was a flavor chaser thing really much at all, there are just so many variables and more options to discuss lol

I don't think you're over-glorifying it... came here to say that my OG Firefly still holds the belt for best flavor. It's not even a close competition!

The AV LP really only compares to the firefly in basic form factor and cleanliness, It's a very different beast in all other respects. I'd give the native TM a very slight edge over LP for the initial hits, and LP the edge for the cache out. But they're both down a rung or two from the OG FF.

well good to know (i think) it is not all just in my imagination. and thx @RxPlorer for this brief comparison. while this curbs my enthusiasm somewhat, i will continue following this thread, form factor is still nice. & i am curious how this will work with the eventual release of dosing caps. and i appreciate @Shit Snacks putting this taste thing in a larger context, gives me pointers for more threads to look into for sure :). no experience with unregulated devices so far, some with butane (but only dynavap, not sure that counts). interesting what you write re the vapman - this is one i have been eying lately as well.
my fondness of the log is also closely linked to the experience of using it, & that includes amounts used. i do remember the tinymight tasting considerably better without the cu (even with it still tastes good! i only sold this one b/c i needed the money at the time.), but for me it never worked as well with the kind tiny loads a log has no troubles with. so the comparison is faulty too maybe.

Teflon minivap and the Toad are the best portables for flavor in my experience with portables, which is somewhat extensive. Zion M is close, but requires more skill to achieve the same level of flavor. TP80, any Milaana (but particularly 1s and 2s), lil buds, and Musa 510 come close, but cant quite compete with the above 3. All the other portables I've tried are below these three in terms of flavor in my opinion, including the FF2+ and the TM.

Well, I don't know, there are a lot of different logs, but I use my HI similar to the TM all the time, with a log I'm going to take a one hitter micro bowl through water and I can do the same with the TM... No trouble with tiny loads in the TM in my experience!

Interesting, yeah I need to try MV someday! Hopefully will have my toad soon, but I mean it was supposed to ship in 2 weeks, like 2 months ago lol however I'm not holding out for amazing taste, because of the nichrome heating element (I can taste it in my nomad, compared to the stainless steel in my TM despite its larger mass) ZionM also did not taste better to me than any Milaana (or OG Zion) and I actually think my Mi3 tastes the best of all of them perhaps!

So yeah flavors extremely relative :D

I also think my Mi3 is tastier than my ZionM but it's in the neighborhood. Probably tastier than my TM, but less consistent. That's the same for my bricks and Vapman. Although the vapman's flavor is very different.

Of my logs, one has very consistent great flavor and the other needs more seasoning, I think.

Never had a problem with a miniscule amount of flower in the TM.

A big second on MiniVap ! It has been a pleasant surprise to me with low expectations. True vape has been around over a decade… but it has been improved over the years so negatives I read like 10 min heat up etc were referring to the original. With newer glass accessory easily attaches to any water piece or J-Hook. Sip or clouds, it can do both, always flavour…what I don’t do is cough when using this unlike most other vapes.
Call it my around the house / yard vape.

I know the flavor is probably nowhere near as good as the tinymight but I have a feeling they'll come out with a USB C model before long and I'll pick one up then.
Yeah and I don't know why you would expect them to upgrade with USB-C, because I'm pretty sure there are zero plans to do so...
Just wanted to say I told you so. :D
