BEST GLASS FOR VAPORBONGING?

I'm currently in the market for a "vaporbong specific" glass piece. I use a Solo with PVHE GonG adapter, and am messing with a PAX adapter. Any suggestions? Pictures? Thanks.

Try searching. This has probably been asked dozens of times by now. Also, there's not really "vapebong specific" glass; any bong the solo fits in is a vapebong.

For the Solo, since it's quite small and does not produce the dense vapor like desktop machines, I'd say a bubbler like the Mobius Ion Matrix would be the perfect size, or maybe even the Mobius Matrix Dewaar.

I also have the Solo, but I dont have the PVHEGONG, they've been out of stock for over 3 weeks now, it's driving me insane! I have a 16" bong that I would use with it. I think it may be too big for the Solo tho, so I plan on selling it and picking up a high end bubbler like a Mobius piece.

I'd say go with a bubbler for the Solo, bongs may have too much volume for such a small device.

ya man, I've been leaning towards the bubbler option for the same reason. Good luck finding a matrix bubbler anywhere though. I've been trying. Got lucky with the PVHEGONG, they had a few 14mm's in last week. It makes the hit MUCH MILKIER, you'll like it.

Ughhhhh

They have the Solo GonGs in stock but not the PVHEGonG?!

It's only $5 more for improved airflow so that's why I keep waiting for them to restock.

The solo puts out quite dense vapor, just not with as fast a draw as desktops.
Both matrix bubblers are dewaar, the ion is the smaller one with the flared out base, the clear/micro is the larger one with the bulbed out base.
/nitpicking.

I have the Solo and it's so hard for me to consistently draw dense vapor. I usually start on 3 and go up to 4 after about 3-4 hits. I only have the stock stem with 4 holes, and I think the air flow suuuuucks. I've been waiting for over 3 weeks for PV to restock their pvhegongs but they havent yet. I plan on buying a Mobius Ion Reti soon so I really need it asap but PV is taking forever.

I'm sure the pvhegong will make a world of difference for my Solo. I'm not giving up on it yet.

One stem gets me pretty medicated and I only fill it about 80% full. So the Solo is a monster for conserving weed. I really love that about it, I'm just lacking the dense vapor. My first couple draws are the only ones that seem to be dense.

I prefer plastic for a number of reasons I have stated before.

That's certainly against the grain.
The grain follows the flow. Sometimes the flow is in a pointless or trendy direction.
There are many good reasons to choose plastic, from durability to loss of actives, and also what you can do with plastic that you can't do with glass, namely vape through boiling hot water.

All of the latter properties are due to the lower heat conduction of plastic versus glass.

That being said, bamboo would be great as well, because it has extremely low thermal conductivity.

I'd argue there are less "lost" actives with glass due to the ability to reclaim (I don't want to reclaim ISO that's been cleaning plastics)
There's also a threshold where you can't vape through any higher temp water or the heat will start burning your lungs, IME, glass can handle just as hot water as I'd ever want to be inhaling through...

Having said that, I do like the looks of the Steele concept (now transformer tubes)...

I'll stop there though as its getting a bit off topic, lets agree to disagree
(Maybe someone should start a glass vs plastic thread?)

Completely agree there... my Steele Concept has been treating me really nice, and I will always have a special place in my heart for the Incredibowl, especially using the M420 attached to the Launch Box... But there's just something about glass that will never be replaced...

just to play devils advocate here, but what is ISO stored in?

Yes, ISO is corrosive with some plastics and rubbers. Also aluminum surprisingly.

From wiki (ugh, I hate em'. except in cases like this)
Like most alcohols, isopropyl alcohol reacts with active metals such as potassium to form alkoxides which can be called isopropoxides. The reaction with aluminium (initiated by a trace of mercury) is used to prepare the catalyst aluminium isopropoxide.[5]

Try turning your Solo up. I rip mine on 5 and then 6 at the end. Sometimes i bong it on 7. Still lasts forever, you just get thicker vapor. Good luck!

I've heard stories of ISO eating through some plastics (like the S&B acrylic grinder).
I know it usually (always?) comes in a plastic bottle, but I figure that specific plastic would be known to be inert with ISO.

I had a grinder that was destroyed by ISO; some cheap plastic thing that came with the EQ. I did maybe a 20 sec rinse with 91% and it completely hazed over and the surface was cracking and peeling off.

It's a good thing that all plastics are equal.

Wait, that's not right is it?
