Bottom is dry sift (second run) pressed in a cheap hash press I wedge into a vice for some proper pressure.
Fluffs up nicely with a bit of heat.

Stems/WPAs: I have various glass stems and WPAs for the BAKx from GoodVibesBoro, TheFunktionFactory, and Lamart itself. The cooling performance of these stems varies depending on their type and whether they feature glass beads or pills for cooling. In terms of flavor, all stems are excellent due to the pure glass path, as I don't use screens or anything similar.
However, at higher temperatures or with certain strains, the BAKx can become a bit harsh. That's why my preferred method is to use a 14mm or 18mm WPA in combination with a J-Hook (e.g., from GvB or the Xeric from CloudConnoisseur). For even higher temperatures, I use the BAKx with a water piece.
Personally, though, I favor J-Hooks, and GvB also produces specific J-Hook stems for the BAKx, which I'm sure are absolutely superb.

Could someone remind me what's the air path and vapor path situation for the BAKx? Is it all glass or does part of the air have to go through warm wood and/or acrylic?
(I tried the search feature but it's a big thread and I'm falling asleep...)

There's only a little bit of wood in the cool air path I think? Otherwise just glass path here

It basically all glass, with just a little bit of wood at the very beginning of the air path. The oven consists of an outer glass tube with a coil around it, and an inner glass tube where you load your material.Could someone remind me what's the air path and vapor path situation for the BAKx? Air is drawn in through four slits made at the interface between the cap (which holds the inner glass tube) and the main body of the device, both of which are made out of wood.

If I remember correctly the airpath is an inlay of cherry, so it should be fairly neutral for most people.
