Do you get a temp drop when capping at all? Even if I hold my cap where it doesn't touch the coil, i still get a 30 degree temp drop???? Weird.

do the aubur rdk200 coil work for quartz nails? like these for example.

@photobooth the reason I didn't go w the 710 whip was because I was scared of not being able to go a lil hotter if I wanted too. The auber has yet to disappoint, although a couple ppl are experiencing temp drops. I opted out of the nail it comes with and went with a hive ceramics nail and cap and it has been impeccable. Taste is phenomenal, not disappointed at allllll.

Should be getting mine in the next day or so. Probably won't have a carb cab for like a week as that is on order separately. Hoping it is the right size for the universal nail.
Pretty close to ordering the domeless.com ceramic nail/boro cap, but not sure I want to drop more money right away.

Just got my unit today at work. Can't wait to get home and try her out. I had a couple of quick questions...
How long does the unit take to arrive at temp, say 700F. Also, this is my first enail. Is there anything specific to e-nails that's worth knowing before usage?

Hey bro, I checked with the universal nail and Titan carb cap and I do get about a 25-30 degree temp drop. However I think the actual issue is the heat transfer to the dish of the nail. It seems worse than the ceramic nail I have, more temperature swings and my thermocouple is measuring it at about 100 degrees lower than the ceramic does at the same temp setting on the Auber unit.
Maybe this is due to the slightly curved base of the universal nail and also the fact that it is only a 20mm dish whereas the ceramic nail I have is a 25mm dish which fully covers the coil, giving more even heating I believe.

Temp drop or not, really enjoying the flavor of some Durban Cheese right now. Life could be worse than waiting an extra minute or so for an e-nail to return back to temp.

Yep that is the Domeless.com universal ceramic nail and idab carb cap
He has two types of dish for the enail, one that is slotted and one that is a closed cup. The slotted one works really well for low temp dabs, also the dabber has a carb hole on it so you can use that too...good setup IMO, and the nail seems to hold temp a lot better!

anyone use those reclaim adapters for their enail? sounds like it'll save a lot of reclaim oil for people.

Got my rdk 200 with flat coil and universal nail. Wasn't expecting to get it until tomorrow, but it actually fit in my mailbox so I didn't need to go to the post office. Also they under-declared the value which saved me a lot of potential custom fees and duties (didn't ask them to).
Not sure if this thing is that amazing, or if I am just doing bigger dabs. It is super small though, and I knew it would be small. Luckily the glass bowl I got with my gb-186 and was using as a carb cap on my cheap ceramic nail also fits the universal. Just kinda rests on top of the rim of the nail not a tight fit, so I would feel a tad dicey about handing it off to a pal lest they slip and burn themselves. Also measuring the nail I think the carb cap I have in the mail might be the proper size to not touch the coil. Reasonably sure I will go ceramic soon though. Thanks again @PoopMachine

I am a big fan of the reclaim jar on my oil rig. it definitely collects a lot of reclaim and seems to keep my piece cleaner.

Has anyone come up with a good temp coefficient value for the Auber Ti universal nail? I saw 1.10 floated as a possibility I think.
Overall, I like the enail. Very small package with lots of power. My only complaint so far may not even be specific to the device itself. I guess I expected doing a capped low temp dab to be some magic moment of awesomeness with ultra milky smoke n what not, but I haven't had any better luck doing it with the enail than I was having with my torch.
Maybe my carb cap sucks though? I bought it at a local store. It looks identical (to me) to the HE cap, but its got 3 holes instead of 1.
I guess I'm also not 100% sure if I'm supposed to pull soft or hard to get the whole effect happening.
I don't drop bhaaaambs though. And all the videos I see of people getting a good effect are dropping major size dabs relatively speaking. I'm prob doing 20mg dabs and not really trying to have to do larger ones though.
Aside from that drama, the unit works great. I can definitely confirm that dropping my cap on does make it sit on the flat coil a tad, and it does drop about 50 degs before correcting itself but I don't think I really care unless someone says that's what's wrecking my low-temp attempts.
I've tried setting the device to 550 and anywhere from 600-750.

isnt the enail going to heat up the reclaim part too since the pathway for the gravlabs one looks so short. or do you have a longer adapter. in some youtube videos they seem to hardly get any reclaim down the reclaimer but it goes to the other side that you connected to the water pipe. Kind of makes it seem useless, maybe the people in those videos just pull too hard. Are you suppose to inhale as quick as you can with the enail?

I would try around 1.20-1.25 probably, from my measurements that's where my nail is. I would try starting at 1.20 and seeing if you like what that gets you...

I just received my RDK-200 from 710 hotbox. Fast, easy transaction. Unit is an exact RDK with same passcode. Got a flat coil, universal nail and carb cap. Unit was pre-configured for the 100W flat coil.
Should receive my thermometer and high temp k-type probe shortly to get this dialed in. Thinking about a ceramic nail too.
