isnt the ascent thread to talk about the Ascent ?my popcorn comment was just a thought and a cool way to show the convection. It doesnt get that hot so my idea was pretty much shot. At the end of the day I am excited about the ascent and feel no harm is done to talk about the Ascent while we wait for it. So much complaining and punishment for remarks in this place. I thought this was a place for love of vapor and vapor devices but its getting to the point you cant even make a comment or just have fun in a thread.

Actually, I believe the internal temp of the kernel must reach 356 °F. I think the other temp is oil+extra temp in order to bring the internals up to 356 °F.

I had initially responded to the question here, but deleted it once I saw others replying in the main thread.

But, yeah, since we have no real device to talk about, and have pretty much talked the F' out everything we know about the vape, there is nothing left to do to fill the time but talk about random crap.

So yeah, the tread is filling with junk. But that's to be expected. I don't mind it and have done my share of participation.

I do agree that the "is it out yet", "DaVinci must be up to shenanigans", "I should get free stuff", and the questions posed by f'tards that can't be bothered to actually read anything are complete crap and should be nuked from orbit.

THe rest of it is fine in my mind, as the thread will be shut down upon product release.
But then again, this is not my board.

Thanks for calling me out on sending all to wiki and to read...like nigel said you may have but most don't even read one page. It is very annoying when a person asks a question and the answer is two posts above theirs. In a long thread it is understandable but gee read the last 10-20 pages at least IMO. I was new at some point and I did.

Lucky for all the noobs is we all have a lot of patience answering repeated questions when it is nicely asked.

Your popcorn post is now in the proper thread. That's because other people who go to the Ascent thread to learn about it have trouble finding real information among the popcorn popping type derails. I don't think you read the thread much because I've posted this explanation more than once.

I also don't think you read the rules, or if you did you didn't retain much. Let me (re)introduce you to a couple:

• If you don’t like the rules or the moderation, feel free not to visit.
• Public discussions of staff decisions are not permitted on the site. If you have any concerns or queries relating to a staff decision please take it up in private with a staff member.

That last one applies to policies as well as decisions, just to make it clear.

We provide the Lounge for threads about anything and everything with almost no restrictions. We try to keep the device threads on topic because they get too big and difficult to search. It's extremely difficult and as nigel implied, we sometimes have trouble keeping up and we sometimes fail. Every time I make a "get back on topic" post I get a flood of likes, so a lot of members appreciate the effort.

Nobody has punished you, not even after you broke two rules.

Well you caught me I cant spell worth a shit haha. I understand what a search button is and try not to piss anyone off. Sometimes you read thru shit and forget, or maybe you did not read the last 525 pages. Ill read about 20 pages in the front, 20 in the middle and 20 in the end and have a pretty good idea of what I am looking for...If not well search works too.

The easiest way if you goof, and we all do, is to just press the report button and tell the mods you goofed. Just so you know rules apply everywhere on the forum just are a bit more lax in the lounge. Some stuff will get you a ban right away like mentioning selling in a thread or in your signature. I don't know if it is against the rules to sell your kids in thread however

A) Only some kinds of corn will produce the kernels needed for popcorn
B) I *believe* (I could be waaaaay of here) that there is a specific curing process needed
