Taaadaa...and it is born!
Hey did i miss adobewan's reaction to his design coming to fruition,
This does fit the general idea/design, don't think it needed to be that long, but i guess this allows for a variety of devices.
I'd be interested to see where the balance point ends up with this, the ascent will likely have a fair weight to it batteries and all,
added to the fact that they made it open-able while connected kinda make's you wanna leave it in, this could be risky for those with small pieces ...... ha
Still being unable to get oils, and as I'm very unlikely to try and make my own, this is not something i need. Like others have said a simple straight adapter would fit all our needs, glad to hear they will endevour to make one, this FC member LEE had the idea:
You could even just make a 14/18 adapter to slip on the stock stem,
just like in the picture but just the end piece maybe with a couple embedded rubber rings on the inside to prevent sticking and make it more secure,(you will be inverting it after all)
but they would be covered when fully on the stem to maintain that "all glass" claim
Happy day's though glad to hear steady progress is being made.
On another note, i dunno if anybody saw my flexi glass system in the ascent contest,
but i got pretty carried away and loved designing it,
kinda bummed i didn't win..... still,
But i might just get all entrepreneurial and make it, been chasing up some manufacturer's, though it may never get off the ground,
I'll at least have one prototype for my own use for when i get my ascent, not sure when it will reach these shores though
I'll post progress i make with it, it could be awesome, or riddled with crippling issues
roll on ascent, till then, turn on the solo
