The Heat Port, stem tip, or entire Zap?

Entire thing. The twigs and small versions of other logs I've seen are about 2x2x4 inches or smaller. I am wondering what the smallest version of a CRZ would be?

Didn't you have one Vito - in your pictures? Smallest ever made, and it was a Koa?

EDIT: I see now, your "Jasmine"... or do they come small nowadays?

EDIT EDIT: I have an older conversation from Rick and he mentions 2 inches (I figure that's just the width/depth, but not the height) ..can anyone confirm?

Jasmine... the Black Locust Zap..that was the smallest one, but others had the same small "footprint"
She was 2" diameter.

Can anyone tell me (about, or exact) what the smallest dimension is for a CRZ?

Mine, which I ordered recently, is a little over 2" in diameter at the base (slightly concave in the middle) and around 3.75" tall. A few pages back Rick mentioned that he tries to keep them pretty similar in size now, so new zaps should be pretty close to this.

sessnet, roughly 2" x 4" for the finished piece. I need a little more than that to start. I did PM you re: your question last night and early this AM. I can make them a little smaller than that but not by much.
Sorry for all the website "out of stock" stuff. Well, I really am happy, not sorry.
I will try to get some more up today. I will also be gathering up some treats for the Abysmal benefit that will go up this weekend. My dear love has so many little nooks and crannies where she stashes stuff. Yesterday she pulls out two big old Blue Pine honkers.....square and big that are from the very first days, over ten years ago. Very early ones because the top heatport plate was 7/8" which we only did for a short time before moving to the 1" size.
Not really sure yet what I will be doing for the Abysmal thing but we will get it together and it will be fun. It should work this weekend........along with the VVPS and more bubblers. We have been picking up the Turtle pace just a little.

Rick you are the man :) ! I don't know what you have in mind.. but i am sure it is going to be great especially if there is Zap-archaeology involved. Can't wait to see history revived :luv: !

Wow....shit has changed.

I haven't posted in awhile, since my two Myrtlezaps have been running flawlessly the last couple years.

So I see the old styles are no longer offered? The RockZap is the only model?

Hi Screwdriver! Yes that is correct. The new and improved version is what Rick is selling now. Not that there's anything wrong with the old ones. The newer version just has all the bells and whistles. ;)

I had posted this image in the VapeXhale Cloud thread, but I wanted you to personally know Rick, this is how highly I think of your work:

I owned nine different vaporizers and have used even more over the years. Yours, the Cloud and my LaunchBox are all I need, since they each serve very different purposes. I gave away the rest of my collection to friends. That ragged cut which I'm not proud of (hey it's my first time cutting!) is for the glass tooties.

@Anyone considering getting one of these mighty fine works of art, make sure you get a tooty! It adds 5% extra magic, at least*.

As it turns out, I am an authority on magic (not really, but it may appear so), and I concur. The glass tooty does add at least 5% of magic.

I have tried my Zapubler with my Cloud and it works great

I have also really been enjoying using the Zapubler with the Arizer Solo and the 14mm gong Solo stem from PlanetVape. Really improves the experience of the Solo IMO.

So jealous of that barrel CRZ.

Good Friday morning!
Refreshed and invigorated here in Zapville after a part day off yesterday. A day off now and then, not really planned, does wonders for the attitude.
Big day today. Final parts for making the VV Power Supply power cord are due in today. USPS due so that could also mean tomorrow. I will also be turning some new Myrtle and Cherry Blocks that I cut yesterday from some old sticks that were too small for the old traditional log design but are perfect for the CRZ. I think there are some real pretties in much of this wood.
Then, mid day or so I will head over to Tims for another batch of bubblers and Tooties. I will also try to pick up some straight 14mm GonG tubes if he can spare them. The Tooties are getting popular, that's for sure. On the way home I'll pick up a few more Forstner bits for the boring process that must happen on these CRZs before we can turn them. Nothing like sharp bits and tools to make a fun job even funner.
The plan is to get a few more units up by tonight along with the VV power supply buttoned up so I can get in on the website. Bubblers back in stock on the website tonight also.

I expect to get some Abysmal Benefit stuff up late tomorrow(Saturday). I will put them on our CRZ page and they will be labeled "ABYSMAL SPECIAL" or something similar. I will pull my Paypal fee and shipping out of the sales price on those items and send Abysmal 75% of what is left. There will be some variety and nostalgia at garage sale prices. That's the plan anyway. This may be another "have patience with Rick" weekend with so much planned out of Zapville, the return of some nice weather and plenty of people, big and small, running around the farm.

BTW, I have been asked often what I prefer. VV power supply and stock stem. The VV is a no brainer and the stock stem provides the most direct vapor delivery without condensation or dilution in any way. I also habitually twist the stem round and round when pulling for thorough, even and complete vaporization of the tiny amount of stem tip contents.

Wait til you all get to see those old clunkers from over ten years ago. What a ride the Zapville train takes!

I noticed that Rick's preceding post referenced that he rotates his stem while vaping and he's getting improved more uniform vapor. I've been using this very same technique for some time now and agree it improves the the vapor density as well as the number of good hits it provides. Not that this technique is a quantum leap in performance but it does help in squeezing every bit of goodness from your herb and vaping experience.

Have any more Zappers tried this technique and what have been your experiences and results?

i didn't when i first got my zap because it's such a small area i figured any rotating would be pointless, but then once the vapor ran out i would start rotating and i noticed i got another half a hit out of it, so after doing that for a while, vaping to completion then turning it on the last hit to get just a little more, i started just turning it on every hit and it's become a habit.

Unlike the Martini, you want it stirred, not shaken.

The Hydratubes work great with the CRZ, as long as you have an adapter for downsizing.

Yeah, it did seem like a VERY good idea that could work. Pardon my trainee status, but do you have any suggestions for adapters?

@Stinkbud: Unfortunately the nylon stems I have do not fit the Hydratube. You can /sorta/ push it into place, but it never forms a seal where I get enough pressure to pull a hit. Perhaps I misunderstood what you meant?

@ennui Try a cork. You can buy loads of them cheap at the hobby store and you may get one you can graft onto a zap stem that will fit well enough.
