Your order should ship early to mid next week for a Friday/Saturday arrival, right at a week from order to delivery. We'll let you know when we ship with tracking info, etc.
Which brings up another change here in Zapville. We have always shipped USPS Priority and first class mail. Over the last several years we have used the USPS website for labels. Short story short, we switched to endicia last week.

We still use the US Postal service as they fit our business best but Endicia is a world away from the USPS for labels. I can do all priority and first class, very fast, pay online and get a SCAN form for the all the days packages. All have real tracking now(not just "delivery confirmation") and the postal carrier loves being able to scan it all in one scan. I cannot believe we went so long in the 19th century on this one.

I would never recommend a "stain" of any kind on a Zap. That is said knowing we are all different and if that trips your trigger, go for it. You would have to sand off our ZaPolish finish which is mostly beeswax with a tiny bit of food grade oil to soften it up and a dash of real essential oil for smell as it will keep any stain from penetrating the wood. The stain probably will smell a bit at first and IS on the outside of the wood but I would be very careful. I surely would never do it myself as we like the natural wood grain look. Take a look at the stain label and see if you want that stuff on your log.
Ah, holding the log, rubbing and buffing the log, whatever it is we are doing it more JUST to keep our hands warm. Another 10 degree morning, several inches of snow in the last couple days and headed below zero tonight. Almost the first of March! NEVER in the 30+ years we have been here has this happened so late in the year. Seems like I said that last summer about our June weather.
Oh well, bring it on Mother. We love it!
Read on another thread some comments about airflow through log vapes. Pretty essential to have a good airflow through the stem tip contents to make good vapor. I always like to consider the 'flow' in everything. I even call the Universe "The Master Flow". Flows can either be restricted or leak when they are not right(like a stroke). I have always thought the near perfect fit of our stem tips to our heatport tube was one of the reasons the Zap worked so well. No leaks in the air flow. That's what carbs in stems are for.
