Long time zap fan here, though must admit I've been considering switching. The zap is a good friend of mine and I believe it is one of the best vapes on the market. I am however tempted for only one other vaporizer, the Vrip Heat Wand, simply because it is glass on glass, is temperature adjustable, is water filtrated, and heats up in minutes. However, the downside to that best alternative, is the fact that it seems that more herb is consumed per session, which troubles me as a budget conscious vaper (I don't understand why people say "vake," it is truly an ugly word - no offense). This downside is enough for me to stick with my good buddy the Aromazap. I can overlook the long heatup time, the copper heating point, and the lack of temperature adjustment, but water filtration is something I really value.
In the past I have attempted to water filtrate with thin tubing inserted into the stem, run through a plastic soda bottle, which was surprisingly effective, yet not as elegant as I would have liked. I did this for maybe a week and it was great, but way too clunky. I don't really enjoy the hot air aspect of the pulls from the zap, but I love the zap, so I would like to make this work somehow in a more permanent fashion.
I'm not sure if there is a good way that someone has achieved doing this, but if so, I would be most interested in any ideas about how it can be done effectively. Ideally, the fantastic Aromazap team would implement this into their next generation design.
