Arizer Solo 3

old-fart

Maybe not the oldest, but possibly the fartiest!
Am I the only one who tossed that annoying rubber flap? Nothing goes down the hole that can't be blown out.
The silicone cap cannot be replaced, so if you dont want it, I’ll take it! I lost mine once, then miaculously found it, but I’d love to have a spare

I, and I imagine many others, use the cap for odor control and to ensure nothing falls into the heater bowl that shouldn’t be there.

Since I had some luck with cleaning on Friday thanks to the suggestions here I was confident enough to try cleaning the one high flow WPA I had. After the soak it seems like it was left with the same black buildup that would not soak or rinse out before but it was a lot easier to just swab out with a q-tip since there were no hard to reach corners. The buildup seems to be the same stuff that I get inside of the domed screen I use with the OEM stems, it’s just that before the Solo III it was only ever on the bowl side of the glass screen so it could easily be cleaned out. It seems to make sense that it gets on the other side with the III though since the III gets hotter, so I guess it’s melting it more to get down there. Anyway, it seems I can resume my normal cleaning routine with the high flow stems and will just have to clean the OEM ones a lot more frequently.

Also used one of the OEM stems that I couldn’t get clean. A little into a cycle, empty @ 428F there was some condensation in the stem but once I swabbed it out no more appeared for the rest of the cycle and everything seemed normal actually using the stem.

It is not as pretty, but I tried this for the first time last night:

The glass is thick, about 3mm, and it cools the vapour totally. Even after a longish session it never got above room temperature. So far, I like this much more than my J hooks. It is on the heavy side and makes the Solo tippy. It is definitely not a portable, discrete accessory!
This is too funny. I have an AVLP and got the bubbler for it (a year and a half ago). This one looks so much like it. It works amazing with the XL WPA stem on the Solo 3 v2 😁💨

My only reluctance to purchase a Solo 3 is a comment by Troy on a Troy and Jerry video that he coughs more with the Solo 3. He's using the larger bowl in on-demand mode. And he often runs at high temps close to combustion. Are y'all coughing more with your Solo 3?
I definitely do NOT cough more with the Solo 3. I find it very smooth and cool. I'll be looking at getting some aftermarket aroma tubes (anyone in Canada have some suggestions on Aliexpress stores?)
The Solo 3 v2 is an amazing device and my new daily driver!

Ordered a WPA for my Solo II and Air II. Finally broke the one I had…. lasted for a long time though.
I wanted to order directly off of Arizer but apparently they don’t carry the 19 mm anymore…only the 14.

I use uncoated sodium percarbonate to clean my stems. Place the stem(s) in small bowl, sprinkle some percarbonate inside and outside of the stem plus another tablespoon on top, add enough boiling water to cover the stem completely, and give it about 20 minutes to fully react. If you need it even faster put the bowl on the stove on low.

I have my V1's session presets at ~320-340, 358, and 382. I forget exactly what the first one is because I mostly use 2 and 3.
Been using 362F for my number 2 preset lately. Cuts through denser buds and tighter packs better without having to go all the way to preset 3 to start getting vapor. I checked my preset 1, it's on 333.

My device is experiencing problems with the "on" button. Sometimes I have major difficulty when turning the device on. There is no response from the device as I continually push the "on" button. After a minute or more of pressing the button the device will come to life.

Anyone else have this happen? Is there a remedy? Or is it time to contact Arizer?

I don't have this problem and have never heard of it before. Sadly, you are going to have to send it back to Arizer. On the bright side, their tech support is good.

No issues with mine after 2 weeks of daily use.
