I spoke with John and he said they do not put anything on the outside of the box and it is all discrete packaging. It's customs who opens the boxes and checks, legally they have to declare their Corporate name on Commercial invoices. They tried a dummy name but got caught lol, when customs opens the parcel they then search for Vestratto and see me ripping the Anvil. John says he uses the same HCT codes as other vape companies as well but just seems to be bad luck when the parcel gets opened. 90% of the time parcels are getting scrutinized when the name on the parcel is fake or if the receiver refuses to pay duties, the other 10% is just "ass luck". They also can't put "gift" as Bonded carriers wont deal with them.

I still have my box...shipping label is also a customs label I suppose...items are listed on the label plain as day....so unless customs printed a new label and stuck it over an original label I must disagree with you

Hmmmm i wonder what would happen is he puts just a Corp license # instead of Vestratto on the shipping label.

All I know is each item I ordered is written on outside of box along with a weight and price of each....you are right though...name needs to be diff...a google search on my end pulls up Vestratto web site.....

I wholeheartedly agree, the discretion is not up to snuff yet.

I've only recieved a box with an o ring kit directly from vestratto so far, my anvil took a pit stop on it's way too me. The box had a clear document holder on the outside with the piece of paper inside folded so that the company name was totally visible. Thankfully a cheap o ring kit want going to get much attention.

I've recieved a number of packages from abroad over the years and the sender's name rarely matches what the company is known by, usually just a person's name, or is a sister company name, the address is the same usually. Maybe those parcels could come from John Mumford instead of vestratto. If they get into the box for inspection then that's bad luck that you got picked for inspection, and I think most accept that risk, a big vestratto sign is certainly less discrete! I bet John's name is much less interesting on a cursory Google search.

Wonder if that’s something that can be looked into?

There’s obviously some way to avoid this, as other vape companies send totally discrete packages that don’t have the list of contents on the outside.

It’s really worrying to order from vestratto right now when you have that risk of being kicked out or losing your job due to the package not being discrete

If there isn't a comment section when you order, @Vestratto could at least bother to answer their customer service email which they tell you to us when you place an order. I mean order number was in Subject line.

I've been a big defender of the struggles and growing pains. But this "XL cap was a limited time thing but we decided not to tell you" and ghosting leaves a bad taste. Safe to say I hope POTV, VGoodiez or Sneaky Pete starts selling these soon. Because gripes on shipping, communication and how they handle sales are real.

Honestly Whiff, you’re a good man and I feel bad to see you constantly stuck in the middle of these situations.

I won’t shit on John here as I know he’s your mate, but I hope you know that most of us here know where the problems are actually coming from and it isn’t you.

I’m guessing this probably won’t be resolved any time soon, so I’ll just set up a third party address and collect from there

He has just been super busy with trying to make sure production is running smoothly, we have been in contact more frequently the passed week and are planning some new products and accessories in the near future.

I'm excited for what's to come!!!

Hahahah i can't really say much yet but we have talked about many ideas over the years and recently. We are always looking for ways to improve the vapour and experience. I will be sure to post about it in the Anvil thread and on the discord server when the time comes, i'll be going live too once things are almost ready. I still need to pick up a production integrated stem from him, i forgot last time i saw him and i only have 2 prototypes that are slightly different.

Do you plane to change again the integrated stem ? I have an order in progress to the new modele, but if this modele is already "has been" ...

Vestratto responce re shipping times. Everything was suppos to be in-stock


We do have tons of emails everyday streaming in from both email addresses and they are monitored. We respond to them in the order we receive them.

The answer to your question. It really depends on what you have ordered.

We had a surge in demand of our products across the board from our Dealers as well as end users since the new year and this is the reason for the delay.

We will look at what’s on your order and revert shortly.

EDIT. Ive had another friendlier email today stating should be the 3-5 days with how things are currently. So that's good news 😊

I'm glad for you and any others recently received their 'nado or been messaged it's on it's way, but somewhat cheesed off that I've not had any email from them despite being order number #4867!!!!

I can't be sure with only a few examples to go by, but this is giving the appearance that maybe overseas customers are being sidelined for more local deliveries?
I'd prefer to think this isn't what's happening, but can't think of what else would be the reason.
Yet again, a little bit of updating on their website or direct to customers would make such a difference. And although expectations not being met is very annoying, I'm even more concerned about stock being available, because if there's is enough stock for those of us who have already paid, why not process on a first come first served basis? It certainly encourages stress over the whole affair, which is such a shame.

Nope I just ordered the Tornado. I understand that am dealing with a small company and a product with complex manufacturing processes but what grates for me personally is the complete lack of communication.

I've paid a lot of money a couple of months ago now and at no point have I received any communication as to progress. When I did chase 3 weeks ago I received no reply. Then chased twice more and when I did get a reply last week:

We ship orders sequentially, in the order in which it was received.
Looking at your order, it will be fulfilled in early April which is probably sometime next week.

So this is just simply not true as my order was way before others that have already shipped. Again there maybe a perfectly reasonable explanation or way they work that explains this. But why tell me something that is contrary to what is being done?

I am sure it will ship soon. It's just not a great experience or way to treat customers who are paying a lot of money for your products with long lead in times.

Nope, I'm UK too and only ordered the Tornado itself with nothing else (already have my scruffywoofers adapter ready and waiting!).

I've had emails from John, both announcing the Feb stock, and one confirming my order on the 19th, and I've checked spam anyway, but nothing else from them.
So this gives a poor impression based on that discord message of latest order number being correct - i.e. they are not being distributed first come first served.
I also note that John or anyone else at Vestratto don't appear to engage with this thread much if at all, from a quick skim through, which compared to those like Benyo and PhatPiggie who often read and respond to comments is a shame and I think could improve their CS.

I am sure it will ship soon. It's just not a great experience or way to treat customers who are paying a lot of money for your products with long lead in times.
I hate disparaging small businesses, and take these things with a pinch of salt as often there are very good reason for delays - but please Vestratto, just let us know! 😊
We are going on their own information, so if that changes it doesn't seem unfair to inform those who have already committed financially (which also aids the business with up front finance with no interest costs). Am I being unfair with that?

Overseas buyers already have a much longer delivery time, and customs processing. To extend the wait even further by simply not prioritising shipping at all, and even skipping shipping to prioritise others who ordered much later is a bullshit move. And that's me being diplomatic.
To be fair, I think the shipping times and costs are just how life and business works. Just like the US and Canadian users get a hit ordering something like the Tempest or TA from the UK. We can't fairly expect special treatment - it rankles, and even more when hit by customs for an extra £50 or so, but we know what to expect on that side and can make a fair decision.

My bitching is to do with entering into a contract, paid up front, based on information that's seems to be either incorrect or has changed, but we've had no notice despite an email to all outstanding customers being a 10 min task (or thereabouts). This is what I find hard to understand - it takes so little effort and time to keep people updated, and yet goes such a long way to improving the experience.

I'm sure that when it arrives I'll be happy as anything and quick to forget this, until the next time I consider ordering from them.
