WPA kit on the website for 179, might be time for me to get on the hype train to Anville:D
Any of you asked about changing which bowl it comes with though, what's the go with that? Not even remotely interested in the XL bowl so that'd kinda suck if ya have to buy the bowl ya actually want as an extra.

So the WPA will just get ripping hot and you are supposed to use a glass reducer to move it?
seems kind of not good compared to using stock device with the heat shield.
I bet I would burn myself real quick lol.

John added (or is adding) an insulator ring to allow it to be picked up when hot. Not sure if it comes with the kit or not. It's not specifically mentioned but I saw it in one of the photos on the site, I think.

I don't care about the WPA kit, but they should definitely let you choose your bowl. I'm not a fan of the XL bowl personally.

You’re not wrong there my dude!

The hard part is always dialling in, whether that’s with torch or IH. Past that point? They can both be as simple as each other. Subjectively speaking of course - because what I find to be simple someone else may not.

The bulk of the vape game is one of weighing up pros and cons then matching to your needs IMO

In contrast to my other vapes the Anvil has remained dry since day 1. Happy cuz my glass stays cleaner + there's no risk of hard water/limescale deposits. I'd been bubbling for years but when the Anvil arrived something clicked :)

Either way I'm yet to look back!

Yeah I've started using it dry exclusively after a few days when it arrived (not that I have it that long). I am having great fun with this Roor piece:

I think something like this could be ideal, if I could get someone to make me a custom 19/14 dimpled downstem and mouthpiece.

Would be awesome with WPA. This unit is quite expensive e though. But with the 18mm WPA once that drops it could be paired with the way more affordable faux Sheldon from dhgate. Would need the isolation to prevent burn to release the anvil mentioned above to make it all a nice and tight fit though.

Use a torch with anvil is so easy, even if you never used a dynavap. And all the informations you need to have nice hits are in vestratto website ;)
But everybody do what he want with its money. For myself, I prefer buy glass or accessory for my vap than an IH at 180€ (vs 20€ for a RONXS torch).

Yes, Anvil is nice at dry, but I like sometime to have bigger hits with water :evil:

I hear you. Although my experience so far is the lack of water (surprisingly) has no effect on the size of the hit I take - it's a full standard size bowl done in one. Can't really get any bigger in the current config. But I have an XL bowl which I haven't played with yet & am looking forward to the possibility of being forced to reevaluate :ko:

For the XL chamber i recommend making your inner blue flame the same size as the space between the 2 copper rings on the oven, then heat the thermal battery with the tip of the inner blue flame. That should give you around 45 sec click and a nice big tasty hit

I will go one further and say that I find dry smoother with this vape. When I add water it can seem hotter and more irritating paradoxically.

I have the inverse effect with my FlowerPot.

I’m also surprised how smooth the Anvil can be in native mode. I like a ~40 second heatup at the ditch right above the battery with a pretty low flame on the Firefox. Low and slow seems key to minimizing harshness in native mode. I still get nice thick hits and the flavor is pretty good. I never reheat with this technique. Not worth it. It’s one and done for me. Still can’t stop using this thing!

Just personal preference mostly. the safety one the Firefox can be annoying but can also be disabled or removed.

They both work great. I wrote up a comparison here.

Anvil by Vestratto

I love my Omni and use it more than my Anvil but the Anvil is something different and if you get the chance and have the cash and want one, then try it. I use them for different purposes and having/using one does not in any way detract from the other. They're two very good but different things.

I am a new owner. I have read a big part of the thread, but still not clear about heating times.
As I have already combusted once with my big torch, instructions here will help me at least avoid some combustion and bad taste.
My fire arsenal is this

Is there any advantage to use the huge torch over the medium. I read the Whiff's post on how to use big torch, equivalent to Blazer Firefox and aim for the middle between 2nd and 3rd ring. So I did but I had better roast with the medium (in the pic) torch for longer time. The 20 seconds heating time with the huge torch resulted to very light brown AVB. Is it even worth to use such a big flame over slow/medium roast around 40 seconds? I only own the regular Anvil bowl.

The small torch is from vapefiend, ok for dynavap but I don't think its recommended for Anvil, from what I understand. All are single flame torches and I have and a triple portable. So is there any advantage to use the huge torch? Its minimal flame is similar to this photo and its a kitchen torch made for crème Brulé and similar

it works well but if the torch is big you have less control....
so far i used only Honest small torch with the Anvil, i never let the blue flame touch it, it took 30 seconds i think?
felt like reallly in control... the flavour was good. my friend combusted with Big Buddy torch so be careful
