Angus Enhanced

Yep, that sounds broken.
Yeah. They’re sending a new one. yllVape said it looks like it was the chip and they’re ’working to improve’ this issue.

They obviously have qc issues and I’m convinced the new one will break in a few months too. Think I’ll be avoiding yll vape in future. Which is a shame as I’d been following the aero lite thread waiting for that to be released.

That’s great to hear. Sadly it’s not been my experience. I had th OG Angus and it had the battery condensation issue. Now the Angus enhanced has just given up after 6 months. And at the end of the day I can only base my opinion on my experience of their devices.

F1240,
I got my AE and I think if you shake it, it makes too much noise. I'm afraid that it might have been damaged during transportation. Or is this normal? Do you have the same?

I don't know how to attach a video here, so I uploaded it to a file sharing site

Might be the new metal tube insulator allowing more movement than the fibre insulation in the recalled versions? Saw someone mention that their replacement had a metal tube which rattled more than the original version.

Edit: realised you were the user I was thinking of! Would expect more motion to allow for the inner tube to expand without breaking, but wouldn’t be shocked if the tube version still has some kinks to work out.

So the fibreglass thread has been locked for almost a month now I’m just curious where the response from the maker here is unless I missed something.
The last post in the fibreglass thread is as much as I’ve heard. Sounds like Mike had reached out to the mods about posting a statement, but never actually came back to post

This is currently reflecting pretty badly on this forum overall, if there was going to be a soon response and nothing a month later that just looks like a shady maker is happy to shut down the conversation. Very curious on a mods explanation to this, I understand the need to not let useless repetition and such but simply closing the discussion at the discretion of the maker in question is clearly sus.

I think it was explained, in one of the other threads, that actually mods followed their standard protocol shutting down a thread that had nothing new to report as it was pushing the lines of members being not nice to each other, speculating etc... Pak said no one from YLLvape ever said anything about locking it or promising a statement, it is just Pak that said it would be unlocked when they had a statement...? Not really supposed to discuss mod decisions here or whatever, but yeah hope that clarifies for you all

It wasn’t closed at the discretion of Mike, it was closed because people were starting fights (the “…and not a little nastiness” bit of Pak’s message). The mods reached out to Mike for comment but then Mike never followed up.

why can't people except things are being dealt with and yll has the control of what their company does about. nothing being said here will expedite it by repeating the same arguments, rants,or statements.

“Mike has asked that I keep the thread locked until he is ready to post.” Is literally the last line a month ago

Just drop it. I'm not handing you a point for discusssing moderator decisions in public but I am sure tmepted.

I don't care if you or anyone else think it reflects badly on FC. You got your facts wrong and you're just some stoner on the internet. If you don't have any respect for FC then don't come here.

Whelp. I think I have made my position on YLL and the AE quite clear in the other thread.

However the rules still exist. @pakalolo was kind enough to not issue points but I am also getting tired of this childish whining.

I've removed some messages and assigned points. Feel free to DM me your thoughts. Please read the rules especially:
Please do not revisit an issue unless you have helpful information or constructive comments to add.
And
Public discussions of staff decisions are not permitted on the site. If you have any concerns or queries relating to a staff decision please take it up in private with a staff member.

My vape shop (Soothing Vapours in Canada) just dropped my replacement unit in the mail. So they are being produced and distributed.
How is your first impression? I think there where reports of rattling and reduced weight, does it feel different/cheaper?
