That is correct. But wouldn"t it be interesting to know what temperatures are set in your device as default?
Shure. But it's a one time application (I shouldn't need to do, if set correctly at the factory). But let's wait and see, if the thing lives up to the praises

That's my stance. I'm buying the device without any extras first. If I like it I'll pick other stuff up.

If the airflow is good. It's chucking out clouds, but it's too hot on lowest temp, then I'll plum for the cable.

I do wish the device came with entirely different extras. The case is so chunky that it's unusable imo. The stems with the balls and screens look like they will add a metric tonne of airflow resistance. I feel like it should have skipped these and been cheaper, or added the programing cable and some dosing capsules instead. I know I won't be using the bubbler also, so that's another 20 dollars added to the cost.

You should try it, it's surprisingly good.
I live in England. Because it's often cold and humid here, I find adding water to pieces, especially small pieces, actually makes the vapour much harsher.

I will try it dry, but I'm quite sure I will move on quite quickly from it to something like the BB9. The bubbler will be useless portable also. I'm not putting thay thing in my pocket.

So I think it's great for those who want it. Those people should have had the option to pay the extra to get it.

EDIT - I'm not attacking the vape. Just giving thoughts as a soon to be buyer. I think the vape looks nice.

Some people rave about using the bubbler dry (with balls added), so as the rocket stem works really well with the TM2, I would give the bubbler a try.
Regarding the other extras: maybe only two stems with some balls and a capsule would be a nice. Problem with different editions (like the light Roffu package) is: you don't get those or 50% of the extras in Europe (or with a markup). The data cable is 9.99 at YLl, so a 50% markup is quite hefty.

I have a grinder with a nice deep bowl so I load them over the bowl using them as a scoop and tamping it down with my finger. Sometimes it's easier to push them through the ground flower in the grinder and up against the wall to force the flower into them. It takes a bit of dexterity to manipulate them as they're small but I can do it pretty efficiently this way and everything is contained in the grinder's bottom dish.

I have tamped the capsules a fair amount and I never felt that the airflow suffered to point that it affected me. The airflow is very wide open.

Then there's the matter of putting on the tops. This was tricky for me until I started gripping them by placing my thumb and index finger on the metal flaps that will slide into the capsule when you put the top on. I'll slide one flap (say the one my index is on) in against the edge of the capsule and then slowly rotate the top slightly guiding the other flap in with my thumb. Hope this helps.
huge thanks man, that was actually the exact type of response i was looking for. I also thought about filling the caps in my grinder as this would lead to a cleaner filling process however I am very relieved to hear that I can tamp them down without suffering airflow loss. I think I have a little OCD when it comes to airflow, as this is a very important issue for me and can easily kill the whole session if too restricted in my case. Thanks also for providing help with the tops, I am also asking myself whether they will become gummy or sticky with use and therefore harder to separate from the glass cylinder?

Yeah, the capsule bottom stays surprisingly clean and the top stainless cover seems to take the brunt of any mess. Specifically resin and AVB can collect on the underside of the top capsule cover but this is nothing a stiff brush can't deal with. The capsules are sturdy and look like they'll last years.

Also, if you look closely at the picture below, you'll see how just how nicely the airflow stays open by the way they've designed the capsule covers. The holes are large and there are two long slits for air along the perimeter that give great airflow while keeping the material inside. The capsule below was tamped pretty full and the roast was consistent. I never went above 365F.

I still maintain that is the most impressive capsule avb I've ever seen from any vape.

I had AVB similar to this from my gold plated AVLP capsules when used in session mode but they are also quite special and a bit pricey for capsules.

These stainless and glass capsules are probably the sexiest capsules I've encountered yet. The glass provides a nice slow ramp up of conduction and the roast speaks for itself.

I think they are making a mistake not including atleast one in the package. If I didn't see your messages on here, I wouldn't have been convinced to try them.

6pcs AVLP for 29.99 vor 3pcs AE for 18-21€ (current shop prices). So both are pricey. But if they work well like the AVLP ones, eveythings fine 😄

Yeah, I agree with you here. As much as I love the bubbler (and it is surprisingly good - even dry) I would've taken the capsules as a freebie over the bubbler. The cable also should've been included in my eyes because the lower temps are remarkable.

For portability, the case is lovely but maybe a bit big. I'm wondering if I could find a plastic tube that would fit the BB9 along with the capsules. Things could be pretty compact this way.

My intent is to just carry the Angus as is, like a flask in my pocket. Then have a stem in a doob tube. For me that's still a relatively portable and elegant system. I personally don't think there are any good all in one portable systems on thr market. Solo3 and TM2 both need external stems, and the Venty is a brick, and offers imo weak vapour and effects. Tempest, Anvil etc need a lighter or IH.

So I think Angus in a pocket and a stem in another is a great portable system personally.

This could definitely work. The Angus is durable and looks just like a flask and the stem/capsules take up almost no room. The capsules slide out easily when still warm so the only tricky part might be how to get them in the tube when spent without burning yourself. It's easy to reload a new one on the fly - you don't even need to stop the heater.

For dosing capsules only, this one fits perfect for me ;)
"Dosing Capsules w/Caddy (Choose Material) for Crafty/Mighty/Venty/Volcano by VGoodiEZ"
So original from storz and bickel should also work.

Are you saying you've tried these titanium capsules in the AE and they fit? Or are you saying the caddy works for holding the AE capsules? Sorry, it isn't clear to me.

Here's a shot of just how clean the AE stays when using the capsules. This is with about a month of daily use. The most I've done is wiped down the bottom of the stem holder occasionally and brush any stray debris away from the top of the bowl.

You can see how the top of the capsules get the dirtiest but it's all contained there and easy to brush away when warm.

This roast started at 162C and ended at 185C. I will say that the BB9 does get quite hot after about 5-7min of use. Makes it a bit difficult to feather the carb but doesn't stop me. Might bother some who have longer sessions.

Caddy works for AE capsules. Have not tried mighty capsules in AE, but dont need to try, because like the AE capsules a lot. And overall it is much smoother for me, than the mighty. Very happy with AE.

But with original AE stem + rubys inside, i need to clean it often. Think with BB9 stem it should be better. Can someone confirm this?

I don't have the device yet. But the BB9 would absolutely be easier to clean than one filled with balls, based on my experience with the Tinymight.

Stems choked full with hundreds of tiny balls is probably my most hated recent vape trend. Airflow and ease of cleaning are two of the most important factors of a good vape imo. To sacrifice them both seems an utter madness to me.

I'll be getting a BB9 and turning the level one power down if the cooling isn't enough personally.

That's also what I hope. Cooling with medium stem and rubys is really very good, but after 3 sessions the stem no longer looks good...
That's why I almost only use the bubbler. But the device is very bulky afterwards.
I'll be curious to hear what you have to say when you can test both.
I can only use Mighty up to 180 degrees without having to cough all the time. AE with bubbler at 230 degrees is for me even softer.
You can also adjust the air supply instead of the temperature, but I think you'll test it all yourself :)

I want to ask something.
Now since more people have a unit.
When you heat up you AE from cold. Without the mouthpiece attachment on top. I mean with a open bowle chamber. And without herbs inside.
What are you smelling? On a timepoint between like 40% - 80% heated up

Got the AE today. First impression: really nice flavor. I'm using the helixstem from the Vaphit QOQ, which fits on one side. Looks good, cools adequate. My BB9 clone wouldn't fit by like 0.5mm.

Did three burnoffs, smell was like expected from all the plastic, but still not very pleasant for the price point.

Got my AE today and I am really impressed. I use it more often than my Volcano and my Dani Fusion 2.0 now.

Nice flavour, also very nice side bubbler (I even prefer it over my bigger waterpieces).

Lets see how it performs over the next months/years.

Glad you're liking it. I really dig it too and it seems durable. Have you tried the capsules? They rock. Plus you get to remove the screen in the stem locking piece.
