@mrweed and
@Mr. Gweilo 420 : hey what's wrong with you guys?! Re-read my post, I mentionned the FlowerMate 5S only for the similar temp settings and never said one should get a chinese vape instead of this one!
I have the 5S and use it alot, and from experience, with all the strains I used, when you deplete the first level fully (195°C) there's almost nothing left at the next level (205°C) which is too close. It's a matter of fact and it's the same with my Ascent, most compounds are below 200°C. I can start at 170°C, get a very long session, then go to 180°C, and there will be plenty, then go to 190°C and again plenty, but afterwards there's very little left at 200°C and I have to go to 215°C++ to squeeze the last bits out.
If I start directly at 195°C on the Ascent it's the same as doing many levels, there is very little at 205°C afterwards. Just look at the various terpenes and cannabinoids boiling points: yes there are many listed above 200°C but if you check the relative percentages you will see that they represent next to nothing on your average weed (ex: THCV might be present but it's most of the time inferior to 1% etc)
And I wholeheartedly disagree that below 180°C is useless, and I think many FCers think the same. Maybe we don't have access to the same material, but 175°C is just the most delicious temperature out there, it's flavor heaven, I wouldn't want to miss that really! There's even one of the forum mods who swears by 160-165°C, but for me it's often too wispy to be enjoyable.
