@Gary-Airvape Is there some sort of a hold up on the Labor Day orders, and might they make it out today? I ordered last Saturday.

Trust me, I know all about that! Aaaaaaggggghhhhhhhh. Fun times. It's been my only gripe about this device - well that and the mouthpiece wobbling offI think you're only missing the experience of how freaking messy the oven can be to load, if not using the capsules.
Because of the 90-degree edges and the gasket designs, you're pretty much always fighting some crumbs if you don't use capsules and if that matters to you, you'll spend a lot of time swabbing corners with q-tips.
The ingress/egress around the oven is like the biggest remaining design flaw of the ALP at this point. I was warned about it before I bought the thing, and I thought it was an exaggeration. No, it really is a problem if you care about cleanliness.
The dosing tool really just serves to minimize the impact of that bad design, and should be included in the box, in my opinion.
they should notify you when shipped. contact giselle@airvapeusa.comI have two emails, one confirming the order, the second thanking me for the order. No other Airvape or Apollo emails exist for me. Does it come from an email unassociated with the company?
I hardly ever touch my ground flower either. I use a scoop. And a debowler and duff jar can be used easily hands free with most high end vapes. Although my favorite vapes let me just blow through them to eject the duff.how do you load a bowl and pack it without touching the weed.
I had to manually search for the first two emails from "airvape" but the shipping notification came in fine from "Apollo". beast mode? not in avlp that i know of unless you mean wax mode. After fighting with dosing capsules v1 and then not liking v2 caps, I have finally given up on them and found after a lot of experimentation that I can still enjoy the thing even if it’s a mess to empty every time.
My current favorite thing is hooking it up to my desktop bong but then it sits idle for too long. Is there any way to turn off the timer? It drives me nuts. I’ve tried pressing everything, even found the beast mode but nothing for the timer.
I think Beast Mode is the SE easter egg mode which unlocks screen color changes I think?beast mode? not in avlp that i know of unless you mean wax mode.
not it's a draw/hit game-- timed events at 3 different heat setting with limited time for each setting. have to take so many draws for a timed period per each 3 timed eventsI think Beast Mode is the SE easter egg mode which unlocks screen color changes I think?

No it’s a weird temp step thing it’s got built in. I think it’a press and hold all three buttons once the device is already on.beast mode? not in avlp that i know of unless you mean wax mode.
you press power button, 3 times to turn it off or on, anytime you want.
you can change session mode timer from 3 min, 5 min, 10 min. those are the only time settings you can select.
it will turn itself off if it has not been moved or used in 3 min period for safety. you can't change that default action. ooooh well
it's a safety issue, they are protecting their ass. i think set at 464f, combustion after 3 minutes, could be a reality thoughNo it’s a weird temp step thing it’s got built in. I think it’a press and hold all three buttons once the device is already on.
Rambling:
The idle timer bugs me even more when I think about a three minute session timer running too, like having it be on for another two minutes, max, is such a waste? Argh that’d drive me nuts. If I had my way, it’d be no idle timer for a three minute session, and a two or three minute one for a ten minute session, with an option for turning it off completely for the desktop bong scenario. Ohhh or have it only idle if there is no movement and no draw detected…
you say."flavor is meh".Got mine in the mail yesterday woo hoo! Started filling caps and playing w/it right off. Feels good in the hand and the pocket, styling cloth helps with cool touch when it gets hot after a couple caps in a row.
Tried beast mode after reading about it here, it runs hot for my tastes, but I got more thoroughly medicated than I ever did on the V3.
Hype over greater flavor was a meh for me, any flavor enhancement comes from having a wider flatter bowl that allows more herb to receive more hot air at once.
The caps hold about double what my v3 caps hold and I can toast one in the ALVPSE (I call her Steamy) almost as quickly, so I'm getting higher per sesh than usual. I think my tolerance is going up a notch and I don't even own a desktop.
Wish list; the tiny led screen is hard to read for my old eyes, not a big deal. I thought about getting an extra battery door to experiment on, I would love to put 3 loaded caps in the battery door (instead of the pick that I don't use) to have extra doses onboard. the caps won't fit over the glass tube un less the casing was a bit thicker.
oh well, 3 happy caps in a glass dab cup works for now.
so far I'm really happy with it and not just because I haven't been this stoned for awhile, it does look and feel elegant, and hits as heavy as I ever need!!
I suggest trying a bowl at a low temp. I used to vape around 370-390F with the AVLP (coarse grind) but then I tried session mode at around 330F and it was much tastier. Prolonged the session and still fully extracted, but increased the number of tasty draws. Most portables don't report accurate temps and I found that as the bowl got warmer from the conduction effects, you could still achieve dark AVB.what I meant was the hyped up Increase in flavor over my v3, wasn't enough to get hyped about, the unit gives great flavor! so does the v3. So far I've only run a few caps of 2 strains at coarse grind, will play with finer grinds and lighter loads as time and my tolerance permits, I did compare with the same herb in both vapes, Steamy is a beast by comparison to v3, but the giant leap in flavor was a small step.
Ok. I don't temp step at all though. I tried coarse grind at 330F session mode and just kept it there. I discovered that the bowl just seems to get hotter and hotter, but in a nice way. Seems to preserve taste for longer. Maybe the convective effects on the bowl itself are cumulative after a while. I don't know but it tastes good.yeah, I just did that this morning, I usually burn at 369*f and bump to 396*f to finish off a capsule, on the porch in the sun w/my mug o coffee I started both the alp steamy and a V3 at the same time set to 333*, 3 hit on steamy 2 on v3 due to volume difference, step to 342* 3 on steamy 2 on v3 etc... 369* 396* and 420, steamy wins hands down for flavor at higher temps but v3 holds it's own below 370*. Test done with Ice cearm cake knife cut ( to preserve the terps) medium course, for 1/3 the price the v3 does good out the gate but will never catch steamy for anything except ease and infrequency of cleaning.
p.s. the dose tool works a treat but with the bigger caps my fingers are just as fast.
You can use the short side of the stir tool to replace your thumbnail and let leverage be your friend ;-{》===btw- i soon discovered you need both thumb nails (using both hands) to remove lids from bottom, the fastest way, without gloves.
one nail in the side of cap of the lid and other on gaped/notched side on bottom cap section. pull apart.
