AirVape Legacy Pro / AVLP 2

While I applaud the upgrades to the unit and if the quality is as good as my steampunk unit, the pre-order price makes it hard not to want to order one but I still do not like that there are still too many choke points for the vapor. That small "condenser" screen and the dosing disk get clogged up on my unit way too fast and while I see the condenser screen is larger and WAY easier to remove and clean, the unit still looks like it is way too much maintenance for me.

I guess after using the Lobo for over a year and half, with pretty much only a small screen that needs to be cleaned or just tossed and replaced, I am spoiled. Plus I still have issues with the new designed capsules getting the lids in place if pressure is not applied evenly.

The new unit just has not improved enough for me to justify replacing my old unit, but for those who are buying the new Pro2, enjoy.

...with the improvements up coming it will solve many issues for me. One of the main one is airflow...more of it is always a plus. I had a problem cleaning in the corner and it seems to be redesigned for our benefit...that little screen that was so difficult to place back is redesigned and it seems to be a piece of cake. The larger screen with color I love and the new pattern on the outside fabric...I like it lots. I never had a problem cleaning the dosing disk...its easy enough to pop off and sink into a little alcohol. The main door hinge always was a bit loose on my Alps I own and that got fixed as well....so, it seems that for $100 I would be insane not to get one of the best tasting vapes around...my other Alps are fine and I will keep using them....having a spanking new one at that price is a win win situation for me.

In what way is the airflow improved? Honest question, I probably missed the change that leads to that.

It is written in the current ad that the airflow is improved. I am thinking it's easier to inhale...

Where? It is not on the preorder website and not in the video. In the video they say smarter airflow as a follow up to it being easier to clean because of the hole near the mouthpiece. But that sounds more marketing bs, considering a hole for cleaning doesn't give you a different airflow

In the renders in the marketing email (and on the US site) the screen next to the oven looks about 50-100% larger in the 2 than the 1. If I had to guess it looks like the full airpath from the cleaning port to the mouthpiece is roughly the diameter of the glass tube next to the battery.

Edit:
Oven screen is shown in the second image of both links, can’t be bothered at the moment to stitch the 2 images side by side, but might later on.

It was a few days ago I received an email from AIRVAPE...with the photo and written on the right side along the ad...there was mentioned an improved airflow. I since deleted the email...so, I have nothing to show you. But, I did indeed read it. I am not inventing it. I am old...but, still conscious. LOL...perhaps Gary can chime in when he can.

UPDATE I FOUND IT. BELOW...by the way...they have done lots of updates to it. I just resaw and read the video and ad. LOTS of updates. Is it worth the special deal to buy it? YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone confirm what type of plastic is used in the avlp and avlp2? Definitely a decent bit of plastic in the airpath, just hope it's peek. Love my avlp, taste great and hits hard, but I have noticed I almost get what some call "bickle tickle" after using the avlp, but not some of my TED like the tempest or dynavap. They mention quality materials, but nothing about the plastics they are using.

Hmm, that actually sounds very plausible! Great find, thanks a lot!

Yes, its peek.

My experience has always been smooth...I keep the temp at 350 F. and its a more coarse grind. I don't even get a tickle with my S & B vapes and Volcano...I just keep the temp low and the flavor is just amazing...the ALP is a very well made Vape and it is always getting improvements along the way.

I’m looking forward to the new AVLP 2. I have owned AirVapes since the original AirVape with the oval bowl. If I had any problems, AirVape corrected them with consideration and service. I truly cannot judge something, until I try it. I can wait till the end of June, my order was paid when it was first announced. I don’t jump on things unless I am well versed in it. P.S. thank you Gary, it is a pleasure to have conversed with you on this site. Thank you to all FCer’s, you folks are great and I have learned so much and at my age (65), that is saying a lot. Love and light ✌️❤️🫶🏻🤹🏻

Now that it's June I'm going to struggle not to check my order status every day. I know it says shipping late June, but I'm really looking forward to trying out the V2. All of the little improvements do seem like they will make it a better device, especially the new airpath. I'll probably remove that tiny screen and keep that in the box since I'll be using the capsules, same as I do the V1. I also really like the new display, as unnecessary as it is.

On another note, is there anyone here with a 3d printer that has printed things for the AVLP? I found a decent sliding case for the capsules on printables, and there are some useful looking loading scoops and funnels out there. I'd like to see if you all have come up with anything else useful.

There are also many places online that you can pay a few bucks to have 3D prints made.

There is a loading tool that I purchased from ALP which is perfect. It has the wooden handle. It fits perfectly and is the perfect load...I recommend it highly.

Many libraries also have printers that can be used at no cost!

I really should have ordered one when I preordered the AVLP2. I'll definitely pick one up if I need to place another order, the shipping to Canada is rough.

Maybe I can make and print a similar tool that I can place a capsule into, then tap the capsule into the bud like you would use the loading tool so that the bud doesn't directly touch the plastic. Or maybe I can make a tray for placing a bunch of open capsules into, then spread out the bud filling them all at once.

Contact the company right away and tell them....the units are not out yet...maybe you can catch the preorder!!!!

I can't say anything yet about how useful they are (until my V2 arrives), however, I ordered the capsule case and loading tray to try out:
