Greetings, after using the Alp2 for this whole week and more...I can say that the vape is very good plus! A sure improvement over the last model! The only thing that is horrendous is the cloth cover. My vape has gigantic bubbles and parts are actually coming off now. I did reach out to Gary and sent him a video but, I also got a letter from the company asking me for the video to look at. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this with their unit. This problem has turned me off of the ALp2...when I look at my vape it looks used and old already because of that cover. Anyway, I hope all of you enjoy your Alp2 and I hope you do not have the problem that I do.

Cheers everyone!

PS This waiting turned out to be anticlimactic...I waited in anticipation for something completely amazing...and it is certainly not. Dissatisfied. I truly am sorry to say. The vape is truly ace. The FLAVOR is immense!

On the shipping thread Gary was complaining about problems with the factory but I didn't get 100% clarity from his message. I am guessing the material bubbling is part of the issues he referenced and as a result it's gonna be a bit before we see any more go out to customers.

Can we see pictures so far no one has shown us what’s going on

upside of delays: there's a chance someone might post a how to on replacing the fabric by the time I get mine. (I'm genuinely kind of excited by the idea of customizing this thing.)

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
Well...two things; no one kicked me out or called the police and two, after the first hit I was totally medicated and high as fuck. So, at that moment I did not smell it. LOLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! But, now come to think of it...maybe it did smell and no one wanted to bother with the crazy person in the back seat of a theatre with a vape.

PS Next time I will be more careful. I will pull out a Volcano balloon! LOL Can you imagine how funny that would be.

Haha yeah I've been in movie theaters hitting on demand pure convection vape like Milaana OG or impcognito, next to friends that are familiar with the smell, and they had no idea... Probably not the most respectful thing to do in a public space like that, but if you can do it carefully controlled, then there may not be an issue (just be careful and mindful)

I mean that is typical, the problems of the consumerist addiction, but yeah the outer fabric parts of the design, leather etc, were always a huge turn off for me on this vape... Still trying to keep an open mind for my pre-order as the price was right at least, but I'm not emotionally invested

I def have a bunch of vinyl wrap around to replace the organic decorative panels with. TBH I wish I could just be sent an unadorned unit to save me time and get it shipped sooner.

Seeing initial reports, as well as the delays, has me losing enthusiasm overall.

Still the best Dry Herb Vape for festivals

Can you elaborate on this?

Slight correction here: That was not a special upgrade price, if you pre-ordered in April you got that price without using the upgrade offer. I own an AVLP 1 but didn't use an upgrade offer to get the pre-order pricing.

The AVLP 1 also was having very frequent deep discounts or "buy 2 for the price of 1" offers, so the retail price does indeed feel like a "trap" for people that don't know about this fact.

Edit: And as much as I love my AVLP, and expect to love my AVLP 2, if I pre-ordered this device for the full retail price of $269 with the promise of receiving it in June, only to see people receive their first units with quality control issues in July, I would be pretty pissed off as well. If I was in that position I would probably cancel my pre-order as well, and wait for the quality control issues to be fixed and the device being on sale for a discount again (which is only a matter of time if you look at past Airvape sales)

But if you pre-ordered this device for $100/100€, like I did, then you would be insane to cancel your pre-order. A 2 month delay and some air bubbles under the adhesive are a small price to pay for how much value you are getting for your money with this device, and I expect the air bubbles to be an easy fix

Great points. You gave insight to both sides of the coin.

I agree, though. Why cancel it?
It's not like they have horrible customer service to the point of not wanting to contact them at all because they take too long(or are rude or take forever to email back) to service your device through their warranty services.
Sure, the absent communication lately is a little bit of a concern, but they must not know exactly how long a delay may take again, and then have to explain again how things got delayed.

Their pricing and upgrade system tops all other manufacturers. Great marketing, but still a great deal for the consumer. Airvape is a company that has to make money, after all to support their employees and their families.

To say that I'm not a little jelly having not yet received my AVLP2 would make me a liar so-Anyway, I am still waiting as patiently as I can to receive an email saying my unit is in the way so I can test the unit for myself.

I agree. If the glued on wrap is an issue just don't do it. I'd rather mod it myself with something I want. Ah well, for a hundred bucks I'm sure it will be well worth it. Hopefully better than my roffu. I'd like an upgrade to my dog walking vape.
