here are two small stands for VC owners!

They have the same configuration: 5 holes / a magnet / a removable bowl

The first one is in a beautiful red / purple narra piece with a boxwood cauldron...

The second is coming from a wavy Paldao piece, with a red amboyna inlay and a spalted beech bowl...

Beautiful work. That spalted beech bowl especially! Gorgeous!!! I don’t know enough about the material, can larger things be made from it? Like could you make a stand or stem from just spalted beech?

@wild anchovy Thanks! I don't do VC stems, as there are some very skilled people, like @phattpiggie, @Winegums or @primitiveorganic, here in FC who are making beautiful work, but I will work soon on a couple of carved pipes, adapted for VC, as I've done for @needalift .

@Aezhenn , that is already shaping up to something beautiful !!! Whoever that is going to , I’m sure you will enjoy it . I love my pipe that Aezhenn carved . It performs perfectly . Even though this isn’t going to be mine , I’m very excited to see it finished !!!!

@needalift Thanks for your words, my man! Carving is always a special thing for me, as it's a slow work, where each session brings a step towards the final shape. I like the way the piece of wood reveals the final character.

So here it is...

The stem is in a beautiful ash piece, with a glass tube who can be easily removable.
I pyrograved the patterns on both side.

This pipe is made to be used with a VC tip, and performs the best with a induction heater.
It's really pleasant to hold it in the hand.
