18650 mod

Looking for a good 18650 mod and would like some feedback from our great community. I'm wanting to upgrade from the thinner less powerful ecig batteries. Not wanting to break the bank but want something of good quality. I love my Aspire atty and have 8 ncr18650b batteries along with two separate chargers, so a kit isn't necessary. Thanks in advance for your feedback and time! Cheers!

W9 tech "8" for the win. Runs on either 18650 or 18350. Straight mech mod. No electronics(there is a "fuse" PCB to protect it. ) Comes with tubes for both. All stainless construction. Can do 510 and 601 thread.

I just bought the Kbox from kangertech. It's a 40w box mod for under $30, and requires 1 18650 battery to power. I use the kanger subtank mini for it and it's awesome. Well made and durable too.
I saw that one actually and it had a very good rating, but was sold out, forget the site though and haven't shopped around. Thanks for the suggestion!

W9 is the elite stuff right? Worth the extra bucks and FC friendly people to boot, I think it maybe high time I've looked into them as well. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah, the W9 Tech 8 can do that for ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY DOLLARS. Do do what any sub 30 dollar mech can. I love w9 to death, but I'm shocked at what they think is a good price for a metal tube. It doesn't even come with batteries or carts.

You can get a lot of mech or regulated mod for less than half that.

I prefer to build them, here is a nice 20amp 120watt 2x18650 PCB based boxmod with low voltage cutoff, reverse polarity protection and short circuit protection.

If your handy with a soldering iron, and enjoy things that are serviceable it's a good option.

the PCB costs $3, but then you still need all the surface mount parts (from the partlist in that link) and a tactile fire button, 510 connector, box, 200 ohm pot.

I ordered the package deal through myfreedomsmokes with Kbox, biggest sub tank, battery and charger even though I didn't need the last two. Got a 5 pack coils bundled too and the coupon code @TNT_error so graciously hooked me up with, everything came out to under $75 and it still included free shipping, score! Thanks for the advice and help everyone!

I like my Redwood Tesla Invader 2 it has no problems firing coils down to .2ohms. It is still going strong. For the price i think it is great. Also, I am awaiting my kbox/ mini subtank combo from mass drop. It should be here Friday. So i can let you know what I think of that one then. Glad to see you getting in on the fun @SSVUN~YAH. These look ok but i havent used one.Yep wood box mods there reasonably priced as well. Let us know how your journey goes!

Edit: If I had the money, I really love the look of the WM Box Mods

You're basically right in that they're e cigs on steroids haha. Just like a vape that gives you huge clouds, these mods give you huge vapor production and better flavor with juices. It's a nice sight and the nicotine hits harder, but they're bigger and heavier than the typical ecig. If you're into e juice and all that, I'd try a variable wattage mod just for kicks.

Wood mods are beautiful, but yeah the price kills you a little bit on the inside haha. Mods, themselves, just store the battery/batteries. It's the tank system that usually fucks up, but getting a good one from a good site will be worth it.

I recommend the Kbox to everyone because of the price, and the subtank (which costed more than the mod) because they are a match made in heaven. I don't build coils so this works perfectly.

I'm pretty noob myself, but I'll try haha. The lower the ohm the hotter the coil burns and you get huge vapors without sacrificing flavor of the juice. The coil will also last longer. Those videos with those huge clouds are mods operating with sub ohm. I've only used tank systems, and had 1.5 ohm coils which burnt out quick and vapor production was alright, nothing compared with sub ohm

I apologize since I'm vaked and idk if I'm making sense haha

Sub ohm the coil is less than 1 ohm. .5 is the most common. Unregulated mods can be bad if you don't know what your doing. Batteries can be forced to far. But high vg juice makes clouds. The kanger tech sub tank mini is great. The Knox is limited to a set number of wattages and others are 5-30 and everything I between. Joyetech, kanger, aspire are all good sub ohm tanks. Mods read lots of reviews. My sigelei 30w mini is very nice paired with a delta 2 just got today, and a sub tank mini (kanger). Savor the flavor plus when not in public I enjoy cloud chasing. Wish I had skills like the video
