I do have an opinion about this situation but at this stage I'm keeping it to myself. $50 isn't an exorbitant amount of cash, I've certainly wasted much much more on dumber things sowing my wild oats in my youth. I'm good to stick around and see what happens with this project.

Single flame torch user here as well, once you got it dialed in it slaps. You don't need a triple flame torch at all, the above method is a very good launching pad to find your own groove.

Same same, first thing I did was pop the grub screw out. One thing I find with the Nova is the draw is incredibly 'open' when compared to my Maxx and even Micro (with my finger completely covering the carb hole of course), differences in tamping pressures do not seem to affect the draw in any...

I picked up the purple heart about a month ago and after a brief acclimation phase it has replaced my Maxx as my 'go-to'! Edit: I feel the need to expound - There is absolutely nothing wrong with my SB Maxx, the Nova is simply easier to manage due to its size.
