It's really easy to take it apart, you unscrew the mouthpiece and the stem comes apart, it's a lot easier than the original. The head just comes away from the stem like the old one, so pull it apart, then just unscrew the ball head, from the bowl, dunk the parts in ISO, clean, rinse, job done...

It'll look good for sure. They colour well out the box without doing anything other than giving it a proper clean. Have fun if you decide to do it

If your only doing the flat where the logo is, I'd probably use micro mesh on it, I'd start at the higher more gentle grades, that way it shouldn't alter the logo too much. You can usually get a pack of 9 grades on Amazon, but if you're not going to use them often, it might not be worth buying them.

It's good, but it still causes me a some irritation if chaining bowls, a little less than with the T2 head though. With the T2 stem, I feel more from my material in one 0.15g T2 bowl, than two 0.075h T1 bowls. I was convinced that the more open stem had something to do with feeling stronger...

The head is better in my opinion. Since I've been comparing them I reach for the T2 now. The T1 is still a great unit, I still love using it, but I'm getting better effects/results out of the new head unit with less material so far in my experience.

Once you've dialled it in you might start to like it more. I think the T1 stem runs cooler than the T2, however, now that I have the T2 head dialled in, I'm doing fewer bowls as I'm getting more out of my materials, so it's actually easier on the throat for that reason, going through less bowls...

I'd imagine it'll just be dirt from manufacturing, titanium doesn't corrode like that, as in go brown/rusty. If the marks don't go away after cleaning get in touch with mad heaters, but it should clean up fine.
