Lol I love both my Sr 71 and 74. I've been using them daily since I bought them a couple months back :tup:

Go with the w9 persei. I ordered one vaporwarehouse less than a month ago. They sent me a v2 persei and it already messed up. It started smoking when using my herc sr71 and now the blue light stays on all the time. It won't heat the herc. it was great for the first two weeks that it worked...

What are you trying to use it with? Persei? Or an 8?

How hot does yours get? Mine has a resistance of 3.0 ohm

You can use it with out the bottom adapter and heat shield. It should be fine. I had the same issue. If you have the threadless top cap just make sure it doesnt slide off the chamber since it just sits on top.

With the 74x, the ceramic rod should have the entire white part by the contacts exposed to properly make contact with the gold pin.

@THC SCIENTIFIC My 2 month old core started smoking and now it stays on LoV and doesn't work. I opened a ticket this morning #2742315. Hope you can help me with this. I just purchased another core since I didn't want to be without one, but it's shipping to my billing address in CA. :ugh:

Yes they did ship with the older style button mine did as well. They are still 120 on their site, but only the polished one.

@THC SCIENTIFIC do you guys sell the pin that holds the ceramic on the sr71? I accidentally broke one of the tabs while cleaning it. Didn't see it one the website just the gold ones for the sr74.

Does the hammer top work with the 8?

Ohhh I didn't know they were different. The one it came with was thinner like my titanium coils. I assumed that what it was.

They should fit just fine. I have both the 71 and 74 FYI when I ordered my 71 it came with a coil already

@THC SCIENTIFIC Any news on the button assemblys? I wanted to buy just the white plastic part since mine melted on the threads. I don't mind if its the older button or new. It just the screw is now at angle and it won't fire as good anymore.

Still loving my 8 :rockon: and now even more with the sr71.

That's what I'm wondering too. But i swear that's what happened it just melted from the inside enough to tilt the screw i know it's tripping me out too

@THC SCIENTIFIC Honestly I don't know how this happened. It was working great. I was using the new sr71. I didn't modify anything. Like I said my friends wife was hitting It and when she passed it back the button traveled farther in so I checked it out and some threads had melted. :hmm: is it...

@THC SCIENTIFIC Can I buy just the white plastic used in the button assembly? My friend's wife held the button to long or pressed to hard or both while using the sr71 on my 8 and the threading where the gold screw goes melted a little bit so the screw doesn't sit evenly.
