Are you using a regular or armoured cap? I have my adapter set so the bottom is slightly proud of the red ring at the bottom. Sitting there heats the tempest perfectly for me. While I'm not using it much, I have used my Dynavap and armoured cap with the tempest adapter in the same position...

I gave mine a soak in ISO, then a good rinse in hot water, dry off and use. I actually took my cap completely apart as I wanted to see what everything inside was like. But you can just soak the cap as a complete unit.

Cleaned up and gave the different sleeves a go. Running the titanium sleeves etc at the moment, but going to start using the woods after the next clean.

Yeah just give it a good rinse to make sure cleaners are gone. Not sure about your glass clear but ISO rinses away easy enough.
