Here's the head on a gen 1 Gen 2 They both work fine with it but do get noticeably hotter than the Tempest stem with the heat shield etc.

I haven't hit mine with a torch since getting the most recent VI spring. When I was using a torch previously I was hitting roughly the top line, it's a single flame torch I was using too, the results were good. Stop using the torch because I got a wand. Tempest and wand are game changing for me.

Yeah the head has 4 air intakes so you can open them up or close them down as needed, it's adjusted via the steel sleeve on the head, the one with the two lines on it. Then you've got the usual airflow adjustment on the stem.

Yeah good shop, spoke to Matt a couple of times. Very nice guy. I like to use vapewellness as well, Gaz is also superb, but they don't sell the balls. Both really good shops I think.
